Visited with a party of ten for a celebratory lunch. Can't fault the service or staff friendliness and the food was all perfectly edible - standard fare pub grub with pub grub prices to match. We ate in an elaborate and rather dark 'stables' restaurant that raised expectations

We stayed at this pub a year ago and although tired it was acceptable. Went back this year and it had just deteriorated so badly that I would not want to stay there ever again. We had to ask for our money back and go find another place to stay. The entrance to the adjacent accommodation was very dirty, carpets... More

The whole place was tired and run down. It seemed reasonably clean, however, the room was in extremely poor condition. Plaster cracked and missing from one of the walls. The bathroom was mouldy in places and the hallway was extremely grim. The 'complimentary toiletries' were a bottle of Radox and half a bottle of soap. There was no possibility of... More

Within 5 minutes of arriving at this premises was being pestrered by the manager to pay the bill even to the extent that he left me in the bar and went to knock on a colleages room door. I was staying in one of the rooms above the pub which was dirty and dark with tired and old furniture. The... More

I had the very unfortunate occasion to stay overnight at this PUB on 10th November 2015. The room was booked through an intermediary HRG. It was worth the room rate which was £32.50, which is just a little more that I pay for a pair of underpants. Check in is at the bar which stinks of old cooking oil, so... More

Tired, damp, smelly in need of a total facelift and management who know the business. Made our stressful trip to visit sick relative more stressful. Booked two nights, only stayed one. Breakfast a shambles, with milk served in supermarket plastic bottle. No choice just served up with cooked breakfast whether we wanted it of not, no consultation as to what... More

We booked for two nights and were asked to pay on arrival- what a mistake. Our rooms were off a flat roof-top , past some very smelly bins. The rooms were dismal- the carpets were dirty, the beds ancient with no headboards, the bathrooms stank of mildew. The bathtowels were very shabby- one had dirty marks on it as if... More

We booked two rooms for one night, a single for our adult son, and a double for ourselves. The total price, including breakfast, was £100 which, on the face of it, was reasonable for a Friday night near Lincoln, but expensive for what we got. After some debate about whether we had actually booked 2 rooms we were shown up... More
