This place is not fit for human habitation. The brickwork of the interior walls and ceiling are crumbling. When I woke in the morning I found grit in my hair, in the bed and the whole floor was covered. The owner said it was normal in old buildings. The interior needs treatment with a stabilising agent to stop the problem....

I decided on this trip to Lecce five days before I actually flew out. I was going to take a course at The Awaiting Table for a week and Palazzo Gorgoni was perfectly situated meters away. Besides the proximity, having had looked at other more 'modern' hotels, this bnb fit my budget while giving me a more authentic stay inside...

From our very first contact, Marta, owner of Palazzo Gorgoni B&B, was highly responsive to all questions and concerns about our reservation. Though Marta was travelling during our stay, she left her sister, Sara to tend to our needs. While Sara's English is limited, and our Italian is limited, we were able to communicate just fine. The place itself is...

I stayed at Palazzo Gorgoni after a long train ride from Rome, I had booked only one night as I was moving on to the Awaiting Table Cooking School in Spongano the following day. When I arrived, I met Marta and she helped me with my bags and showed me to my room. Wow. Just as nice as in the...

Our group of six ladies took all three rooms in the B&B for two nights. Each room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. Since we were the only ones there, we felt like we had an entire house all to ourselves. The owner, Marta was very nice. Helpful and friendly. She recommended both a lunch and a dinner place to us...

What a treat! Lecce is a tiny, ancient baroque wonder of a city. Photogenic to a ridiculous degree, clean, friendly, fabulous food and t-shirt warm in October. My husband and I treated ourselves to a four night stay at the Palazzo Gorgoni. We stayed in the new suite, which is fabulous. Wonderfully furnished with a vaulted ceiling. Beds very comfy,...

We stayed at Palazzo Gorgoni due to it's proximity to Awaiting Table cooking school. The location was perfect; we could walk to all the sights of Lecce. Marta was a very knowledgeable and personable hostess who had wonderful ideas for restaurants, wine bars, places to go, etc. The beautiful architecture of the establishment was enhanced by convenient lighting in the...

My husband and I spent a week at Palazzo Gorgoni and loved it. Located in the historic district, it was easy to get around on foot. Marta was waiting for us after our 10 pm arrival by train and greeted us warmly. Our room was lovely, there were snacks and coffee available at all hours and and Marta was so...

What makes this place amazing is not just the beautiful building in which you are staying but that Marta will do everything in her power to help you make your stay as wonderful as possible. From recommending great eating places, organising taxis and even lending us a plug for our iPhones (our adaptors were for Northern Europe!). Nothing is too...

Palazzo Gorgoni "Suite" Recently redone, no true window, one-room garden apartment, slightly overpriced My room was spacious, and had been newly renovated. But it was a garden apartment, with no true window and really no breeze. My options were to suffer the smell of new construction, or open four small windows situated within in a larger, frosted glass door during...
