Beautiful hotel and in a good central location near the train station. Stylish hotel and definitely worth a visit for retro grand décor. The rooms were certainly grand as per the name of the hotel itself. Very helpful and pleasant staff. I would definitely stay here again.

'Grand' in the name of this hotel is most certainly more a reflection of it's past than it's present although, to be fair, the very reasonable rates reflect this decline too. It's a little shabby, in places, but the high ceilings and obvious signs of it's prestigious history, along with it's convenient location, close to both the railway station and...

You can tell from grand rooms, glass chandeliers, and art deco paintings that this was a beautiful hotel 40 years ago but today it is in dire need of remodeling. We were in 2nd floor close to the elevator, the light green carpet was very worn, the curtains were dusty, walls had markings on them - excellent location - close...

A stylish old style hotel by that I mean large Murano glass chandeliers,hi ceilinged rooms, drapes, marble floors, repro art work & great service from the restaurant & reception who work really hard to answer my clients questions and queries.A nice change to generic modern style type hotels where you could be anywhere in the world.

This hotel should be good but is let down badly by little things. No Wi-Fi or TV signal on 2nd floor, reception said they were working on it...Our room was a spacious suite but needed maintenance, window in bathroom was stuck partly open. Breakfast was .very average, cold coffee poured from jugs, little to excite and not four star. Hotel...

I absolutely dote on this Golden Age railway gem that has been lovingly refurbished with furnishings both in the large suites and the common areas that would make Antique The Road Show swoon. The place drips aristocracy. The refurbishment needs a little tech adjust however. The air conditioning is hard to set and maintain. The access to the Internet is...

Large room , very large shower room, very powerful air con but only a sheet on the bed which meant it was cold in the night Although discovered later a blanket in the cupboard. The safe did not work so we reported it and were told it was probably the battery and would be fixed - it wasn't . Our...

Stayed in the Grand. Old railway hotel refurbished sympathetically to retain its 'grandeur'. Our room was on the front and I was worried about noise but no problem. Good windows and air con ( quiet and efficient) Room recently redecorated (except carpet!) Good size. Good sized bathroom too with jacuzzi bath. balcony. Altogether more than expected for basic room price....

This hotel could be amazing, because it has the charm of the old hotels. unfortunately, the rooms are extremely dirty ( the carpet is disgusting , full of stains, and not vacuumed ; the shower cabine is really dirty too; everything is dusty; the swimming pool also needs to be coal). on top of that, the wifi is never working....
