Nikolaos was great to deal with and so helpful pre arrival - awesome and responsive service. He also arranged a transfer for us from Bari airport which was brilliant. Important to note the apartments are a budget option and shouldn't be confused with the reviews for the suites; it does not include breakfast and is a different service proposition. The...

We stayed in the Jacaranda suite for 3 nights. Nikolaos was very helpful and kind in that he remembered we had requested this suite, but it was booked before we made our booking. But, when we arrived he remembered we had wanted this room and the others had cancelled. Breakfast was served daily on our patio. The room was spotless...

Palazzo Bernardini is a beautiful historical building full of character, at the heart of Lecce. We stayed in a very spacious part of the palace, dining room, living room and bedroom, all full of antique furniture. Had our delicious breakfast at our private terrace with a peaceful garden view. Niko, the hotel manager has been very helpful and informative; providing...

Good things first. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Good location just in the middle of historical center. Very warm welcome of the manager of the place. I would definitely enjoy this nice place if not for quite disappointing and yet very important matters in hospitality business... It was not properly cleaned: first of all fresh towels we were given...

From the helpful Niko to the perfect continental breakfasts, we loved our too brief 2 night stay at Palazzo Bernardini. Make sure you get Niko, the manager detailed a city map with his great suggestions for great restaurants and tourist visits. One tip I'd like to share is to call in advance if you are in a rental car, as...

We have just returned from three nights at this charming palazzo in baroque Lecce. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The accommodation is extremely spacious - consisting of a large lounge/dining area, bedroom to the rear with doors opening on to a beautiful terrace and garden, and a bathroom consisting of a stand-up shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Decoration is traditional...

Wonderful coffee, juice, rolls, jams and cold cuts consisting of meat and cheese. The garden outside our door to the patio was blooming Jasmine...

Lecce was destroyed by an earthquake in 1743, but had been built up in a relatively short period using the yellowish local sandstone, the pietra leccese. This created an elegant, softly glowing place (Edinburgh in the UK, could be a similar example) ; romantic to the core, especially in the evening with street lamps throwing shadows on the walls of...

We stayed 4 days at the Palazzo Bernardini and very much enjoyed it. Excellent position, lovely old palazzo and garden, and helpful and attentive staff. Manager Nikos goes out of his way to make guests feel at home and to make helpful suggestions for restaurants, car hire, taxis and trips to the area round Lecce, in fact everything! We will...

Nikolaos, the Manager, was amazing! Everything and anything we needed was provided without hassle. We had one of the suites and it was gorgeous, spacious, and with access to the back patio for a table under the wisteria-blooming for breakfast! Location excellent, Couldn't have had a better experience!
