The best thing about San Michele is the location. It is a walking distant from the historic center and from quite a few very good restaurants. Otherwise this old fashion hotel is clean and moderately comfortable. Breakfast is generous and tasty. Most (though unfortunately not all) employees are helpful and efficient.

Hotel San Michele was hard to find, not in a nice area. Beds were small and hard, pillows flat and hard. Morning breakfast was had stale items. We planned to stay 3 nights, left after the first. So sad, had great expections .

This hotel lays directly at the old centre of L'Aquila agives a lot of possibilities to browse the reconstruction work of the old town after the earthquake two years ago and also to start walking tours through the maontains. The hotel staff is very very friendly, the hotel itself is a little bit old-fashioned but very sympathic and with great staff, very clean and alle staff speaks with you. the breakfast is very good and you hget all you need at the bar. I will come again to this hotel when the next project in L'Aquila starts.

We stayed here for 3 nights, enjoying a culinary experience of L'Aquila. The hotel is super central, TripAdvisor's map location is actually wrong! The city center is very close and an easily stroll from the hotel. Staff were friendly and the rooms were a decent size. Breakfast was good and what they lacked in choices they made up for in the amazing coffee. Note there are 4 types of croissants, so i didnt go near anything else. Will stay here again.
