We stayed at club esse for 4 nights over New Year and for what we paid we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and our rooms were ready before check in time. We had a double and a twin room next to each other located in the separate block that the ski storage room is in. The rooms are rustic/basic and very dark but they were cosy and clean . We were on a half board basis and the breakfast and dinner were both buffets. Food was pretty good home cooked Italian fayre the only complaint was it could have been hotter but then this can be said for a lot of buffets. There was an added bonus of wine and beer being included during dinner. Our booking didn’t state this so it was a nice surprise. Location is perfect , 100m from the slope and 5 minute walking distance to the centre of Pila. Not much of a centre just a few restaurants/bars. Just around the corner from the hotel are a couple of really good pizzerias. On New Years Eve the hotel put on a programme of events that was left on a leaflet on our table at breakfast. This started with drinks and nibbles at 7pm(all free) , then dinner followed by a disco. We waited in the very small bar area after dinner for the disco and nothing happened so we gave up and went to our room. Our children dragged us out later to see if we could find some life outside of the hotel and we heard music opposite the hotel. We followed the sound and opened some doors and saw everyone that had been at dinner having a great time in club esse’s very own nightclub. It’s such a shame we didn’t know about this as by then it was close to midnight. There had been announcements during the evening but all in Italian so we must have missed the instructions on where it was. All in all a good stay and we would go back if the price was right again

Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful at reception and in the dining room. The room was spacious and clean but very basic, not particularly cosy or inviting. The walls are very thin so you do hear a lot of noise if you are in you room in the ever and there is something going on at the bar or in the lobby (most nights). There was a good choice of food at breakfast and dinner. There could have been more hot food for vegetarians. Vegetarian could eat from the starters buffet and choose the soup as a main. Most of the pasta dishes and mains had meat in them. The quality of the food was good for a buffet. The dining room is a bit crowded and noisy. The hotel is very close to the slopes, just a short walk up to the slope from the ski storage room. The hotel is good value for money overall if you are looking for basic adequate accommodation and are hoping for some entertainment for the children.

the Hotel is old and smelly but provides immediate access to the slope (100 meter walking - but slippery -distance. it's more a 2 stars rather than a 3 stars. the food is poor/average (once the potatoes croquettes served were still frozen on the inside and so were the croissants one of the mornings); the room are noisy and quite smelly too (dump); the Staff of the restaurant is really friendly and helpful and so is the staff of the animation (great energy and good fun for the kids) while the ladies at the reception aren't that friendly. Our room was supposed to be ready at 4pm but we only got it 5pm and when we finally got it, we found dust on the bedtime tables and had to call the cleaning ladies to clean the bathroom as that wasn't clean properly either. More than once during our 7 days stay, we had to go to reception to get shower gel and toilet paper as they were not replaced in our room. Good the shuttle bus service provided daily (even more than once a day if needed) but in general it was quite a disappointing experience.

I have been here one year ago and I just booked again because my experience is been fantastic. Located just on the ski slopes this reality offers the best value for money. Entertainment for child and adults and very friendly staff. I have booked an half board formula and it was the rights choice, local quality products cooked with passion from the chef. If you are looking for relaxing experience in an authentic mountain atmosphere between great food and special people than Pila 2000 is the perfect choice. I will definitely recommend. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay an excellent experience.

Pila is a really good ski resort for beginners to intermediates, particularly families. There is generally plenty of snow, most of the pistes are blues/reds and nice and wide. Outside of the school holidays there is plenty of room to ski and lifts are not too busy, the scenery mountains and woodland are beautiful, Club Esse Pila 2000 is a really friendly hotel. The staff are kind and extremely friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. The food is generally good value for money with a good selection, rooms are clean. There are some nice restaurants on the mountain but you can't access these after 1700 when ski lifts close. In Pila itself there is a limited choice of bars and restaurants, you would have to go to Aosta itself for nightlife so evenings can be a little quiet. I In the hotel there is good entertainment for young children in the evening and a little karaoke for adults but limited, the bar manager is charming as are the entertainment staff. Overall I would say it is a good place to improve your skiing, the people are helpful, friendly and welcoming. Riccardo Ski is a good place to get your ski hire and is run by a lovely family, however if you want a lot of apres ski then you should chose a livelier resort. However, I went with my son and we had a great time.

This hotel offers adequate rooms, a very helpful staff and food that was tremendous value for money. The room had not been made into a twin on our arrival, which led to an interesting night for friend and I. But they were in the room by 8am the next morning to split us up :-) We had arrived quite late and I had asked for a twin but you can't have everything. At least they sent food up to our rooms having missed the evening meal. As for the room itself it offered plenty of storage space, beds were fine, a small fridge and a large bathroom...well showroom to be more accurate. All good here but get in the shower early as the hot water was not in great abundance. We were half board and I admit I was worried by previous reviews. No need to worry...the food was consistently good. Breakfast consisted of cereals, fruits, juices, cooked bacon/eggs and tea/coffee. The evening meal began with a huge salad bar full of fresh & delicious options. There was always a soup on and then a choice of 2 pasta dishes, then 2 main courses and lastly desserts! We had the house red wine each night at Euro 10 a bottle which was perfectly drinkable! All meals were buffet style, which was not a problem and in fact allowed you to revisit all choices multiple times! I was really impressed throughout our week at the overall quality, well done! The storage location was just outside at the end of a large building which housed more rooms. There was plenty of first come first space to leave your gear but it lacks 2 things. The door to this room seemed to be open all day, so bring some form of security device if worried about skis etc. Secondly at peak times (e.g. 9.30am before lessons) it was so busy there was nowhere to sit! But this was easily avoided. The nearest piste was approx 150m walk away and you could ski back to this point which was very handy. Pila does not offer much in the way of bars and restaurants, so the fact that the centre was a good 10-15 minute walk away wasn't an issue! As for a skiing area...it could do with some bigger chairlifts and we skied the whole resort in a matter of days. Try to avoid the Italian Carnival week (week commencing 27 March for us) it was mobbed! For all our stay the hotel staff were very helpful, especially in the restaurant where Naomi, Paolo and Luigi worked tirelessly to provide what was asked for. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely. It is very Italian and caters heavily for their families. Every night after dinner there was entertainment for the kids but it is the Italian way for all the family to get involved. All in all for £450 it was a great choice :-)
