We stayed at club esse for 4 nights over New Year and for what we paid we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and our rooms were ready before check in time. We had a double and a twin room next to each other located in the separate block that the ski storage room is in. The rooms are rustic/basic and very dark but they were cosy and clean . We were on a half board basis and the breakfast and dinner were both buffets. Food was pretty good home cooked Italian fayre the only complaint was it could have been hotter but then this can be said for a lot of buffets. There was an added bonus of wine and beer being included during dinner. Our booking didn’t state this so it was a nice surprise. Location is perfect , 100m from the slope and 5 minute walking distance to the centre of Pila. Not much of a centre just a few restaurants/bars. Just around the corner from the hotel are a couple of really good pizzerias. On New Years Eve the hotel put on a programme of events that was left on a leaflet on our table at breakfast. This started with drinks and nibbles at 7pm(all free) , then dinner followed by a disco. We waited in the very small bar area after dinner for the disco and nothing happened so we gave up and went to our room. Our children dragged us out later to see if we could find some life outside of the hotel and we heard music opposite the hotel. We followed the sound and opened some doors and saw everyone that had been at dinner having a great time in club esse’s very own nightclub. It’s such a shame we didn’t know about this as by then it was close to midnight. There had been announcements during the evening but all in Italian so we must have missed the instructions on where it was. All in all a good stay and we would go back if the price was right again …
Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful at reception and in the dining room. The room was spacious and clean but very basic, not particularly cosy or inviting. The walls are very thin so you do hear a lot of noise if you are in you room in the ever and there is something going on at the bar or in the lobby (most nights). There was a good choice of food at breakfast and dinner. There could have been more hot food for vegetarians. Vegetarian could eat from the starters buffet and choose the soup as a main. Most of the pasta dishes and mains had meat in them. The quality of the food was good for a buffet. The dining room is a bit crowded and noisy. The hotel is very close to the slopes, just a short walk up to the slope from the ski storage room. The hotel is good value for money overall if you are looking for basic adequate accommodation and are hoping for some entertainment for the children. …
the Hotel is old and smelly but provides immediate access to the slope (100 meter walking - but slippery -distance. it's more a 2 stars rather than a 3 stars. the food is poor/average (once the potatoes croquettes served were still frozen on the inside and so were the croissants one of the mornings); the room are noisy and quite smelly too (dump); the Staff of the restaurant is really friendly and helpful and so is the staff of the animation (great energy and good fun for the kids) while the ladies at the reception aren't that friendly. Our room was supposed to be ready at 4pm but we only got it 5pm and when we finally got it, we found dust on the bedtime tables and had to call the cleaning ladies to clean the bathroom as that wasn't clean properly either. More than once during our 7 days stay, we had to go to reception to get shower gel and toilet paper as they were not replaced in our room. Good the shuttle bus service provided daily (even more than once a day if needed) but in general it was quite a disappointing experience.…
I have been here one year ago and I just booked again because my experience is been fantastic. Located just on the ski slopes this reality offers the best value for money. Entertainment for child and adults and very friendly staff. I have booked an half board formula and it was the rights choice, local quality products cooked with passion from the chef. If you are looking for relaxing experience in an authentic mountain atmosphere between great food and special people than Pila 2000 is the perfect choice. I will definitely recommend. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay an excellent experience.
Perfectly located to walk onto snow and start skiing. Simple accommodation but clean. The food was an excellent selection of Italian home cuisine. The staff are helpful, friendly and handle children entertainment very well.
