The HOTEL ASTORIA on the shores of Lake Garda; however I was accommodated literally next door to their other property the medieval Tower La Torre. My room on the 1st floor had a fantastic view of the lake and the promenade. The minimalist rooms come with all the necessary comfort in its cleanliness and simplicity. All rooms have private bathrooms... More

The position on the lakeside of this hotel is excellent, only a few minutes walk from the ferry point and bus station in a traffic free area. The hotel is good, although breakfasts could be improved, there was no chance of having freshly cooked eggs, only the pre-prepared scrambled, not very appetising. Plenty of lovely restaurants nearby for dinner if... More

Although the rooms are small, the bathroom is complete with shower, bidet, wc and vanity unit, the shower is lovely! Full length windows and wooden shutters (in the bedroom...not the bathroom!) so Italian! The staff were oh so very friendly, so helpful so cheerful so welcoming! I facetimed my grandson in Australia while staying here at 7am on a Sunday... More

We had a really lovely time. The hotel is kept so clean and the lady who cleans the rooms is great. Breakfast was nice with a reasonable selection. Hotel is in a great position on the promonade. There were lots of outdoor concerts the weeks we were there. We had a great view from the sun terrace of the big... More

Its not luxurious and our Air con didn't work during our visit, but it's an excellent base as you're right in the centre of Garda old town with plenty of lakeside restaurants and easy, level walking. Staff were helpful and pleasant, the breakfast room had excellent coffee on tap and a good range of foodstuffs. WiFi was only available in... More

Just come back from a two week stay. Ideally located on the lake front in Garda, close to the bus station so easy access for trips etc. Rooms were very clean. Hotel advertised as having air conditioning and posters all over the hotel advising what times it would be on. If only! Each day we had to go through the... More

This is a perfectly located hotel on the front but not in the noisy area. Cleanliness is excellent. There is a very good restaurant. No bar but in some ways that's good as there is a first floor terrace where you can bring your own wine etc. There is a very quirky "frogs" theme to the hotel which is interesting... More

My title pretty sums it up. Hubby and I stayed here for 7 days (last week of July). Rooms are cleaned everyday and they also change the towels if you want to. Bed sheets and covers were not changed for the length of our stay, it was just straightened out. The room that we stayed in (106) has a/c which... More

I wish to advise people that I got a bracelet stolen from the bottom bedside drawer from my room in this hotel and was very disappointed that when I complained to the receptionist that they were not interested. The manager did not even come to see me to discuss the theft. I am an honest person and would not have... More

We would like to inform that our Hotel Astoria offers a safe in each room and we always suggest our guests to use them. Actually episodes like this never happened before. Guests sometimes thought thefts happened but then they were just their inattentions. This kind of reviews harms our image. We cannot refund lost personal goods if they are not... More
