We spend several holidays in the hotel. Its a very nice place to be, the hotel, the staff, breakfast, dinner everything's perfect and we enjoy it every time. Thanks for making our wishes come true and that we can spend a beautiful time in Italy.

A 2000 years old spot chosen by romans to set up a small pier, an original 'locanda' built in the last century facing an incredible scenery, then a small kitchen featuring an hyper classic regional and international menu : add the long very long lasting ownership - last but not least! - and you will be so lucky to enjoy... We stayed for a week here with our four children (ages 6-11) and had one of our most enjoyable family holidays so far. Our room overlooked the little harbour and lake and what a view! The hotel is very small and you feel more like you are in a private villa than a hotel. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful... More

We tried initially tried to get into another hotel, but read about this being the place Winston Churchill loved to come to paint. What a find! We rented a separate little villa, the Casa Archi, for two couples or a family. Happiness! Our own private garden overlooking the massive lake, a beautiful restaurant with terrace for sumptuous breakfasts or dinners,... More

Quirky to say the least. The hotel sits on a small point sticking out into the lake and seems as if it was once a very small village or hamlet. Apart from the manor house- which is huge with wonderful gardens - the rest of the hotel consists of what must have been the village's houses. Only 11 or 12... More

This is the most beautiful hotel -- no superlative is high enough. It is breathtaking. The best part of it is that the beauty is not just skin deep. To stay here feels like stepping back in time, into a more beautiful world -- and yet, although it old fashioned, it is not self-conscious or fusty. It is just how... More

Visited here for lunch whilst on a private boat tour of the lake. Great location with stunning views. Extensive menu but not the cheapest place ever. Worth a visit though as buffet was extensive. Only downside was even outside it was very humid without any fans available.

Room 11 was the most awful room we'd ever stayed in. The picture we took shows the room in full daylight with the curtains open on the single, tiny, knee level window, that had foliage partly covering its exterior. Claustrophobic and creepy. The loud, old-fashioned aircon unit was right beside the bed and blew cold air directly onto our heads,... More

We ate here while we were staying at their sister hotel. It's a particularly lovely location and some of the tables in the restaurant look out directly over the lake. It is possible to look out of the window straight down into the water and fish swimming below. A truly beautiful place to watch the sun go down. The food... More

We stayed here four nights in October and it was like staying in a wealthy friend's home. The building itself is historic, and our room with its view of the harbor was furnished with antiques. The dining room where breakfast is served looks out onto the water -- such a pretty view. The service was excellent. We had one dinner... More
