Very impressed with the hotel and the room. Staff all helpful and friendly. We had the half board option and the food was good. Great place to start some hikes from. Lots of children about so if you have a problem with noise at mealtimes this might not be your best choice.
Nice, clean, well organized hotel, extremely nice staff-especially Angelo.Good food,no problems,English speaking staff.Swimming pool, bar were nice addittion to our stay there.Really close to ski slopes.WiFi in a lobby.Unfortunately TV only Italian channels, but after hard daqy of skiing there's not a problem
We wrote already a good review of this hotel in 2015(or 2016), and since then we have spent our ski weeks every year at Villaggio Nevada. As we wrote, it is a very good choice to start sking with the children, and since we are "frequent" guests we always feel like at home. We choose the family suite and we have been really spoiled. They have a good day care, altough we did not use it much as our children, now 6 and 9 yr, spent with us most of the day onthe skislopes. This year the restaurant and the whole meal service (breakfast and dinner), significantly improved over last year. Thank you for the investment. Pastries are fresh daily and made locally by one of the cooks. They have restructed the kitchen with a view window, which shows to the kids the people working, as well as shows how many people are required and busy to prepare your dining. The choices and quality of evening meal also improved. The service in the restaurant is also more friendly. The hotel has an agreement with a skischool, and this year went for this school and we are happy of the outcome. Advantages: the instructors are younger and I think the children like it more. The instructors, visit the hotel in the evening after dinner, so there is a way keep in touch. If many of the hotel children attend the classes, then the children see each other also at the hotel and that helps creating a good atmosphere. For families choosing this option, it is important to note that the potential disadvantage is that the level of the classes may not be always suitable to your children level. We have been lucky in that our kids had two different classes, and both at their level. This may not be always possible, it does not depend on the school, rather on the registered children. The lunch in the "rustic cottage" at Passo Coe is always wonderfull. This year again it was beautiful weather, sunny, much snow, and beautiful landscapes. One thing to improve is the wifi service, but I do not think is matter of willingness, I guess there is a technolgoy limitation in mountaneous area. I am used to high speed and ubiquitous connectivity. I recognize that when we go on holiday (not only at Nevada) it is not alwasy like that.…
Although we didn’t stay here at this hotel I have a personal thank you to Gianluca at the reception, Aurora and Giada for looking after my son. We stayed at another hotel and was looking for child care in Folgaria. We struggled until I contacted Gianluca. He kindly offered to get childcare for my 3 year old whilst we and our older son had ski lessons in the morning. Initially we were anxious as we didn’t know much about Hotel Villagio Nevada but as soon as we entered the reception area we noticed a very child friendly, colourful and family orientated hotel. The pool area , nursery and facilities were outstanding! Our son was very happy and didn’t want to leave when we came to pick him up at lunch time. We will definitely stay here again the next time we come for skiing to folgaria. A special Thank you again to Gianluca, Aurora and Giada for making our holiday very enjoyable indeed. Keep up the good work. …
This was our first time visiting Folgaria for a ski trip. The hotel is very family friendly! It offered a children's zone with crafts and toys, a swimming pool (bring your swim caps), spa services and dining. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - fresh breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, fruit and scrambled eggs. Wi-Fi is also complimentary, but prepare for a very slow connection. No washers or dryers available, but laundry service is available for 20 euros. Our room was fairly spacious and very clean. the decor could use a little updating though. Looking to hit the slopes while visiting? The hotel is located 700 meters (just short of a half mile) from the Costa ski lifts - the slopes are perfect for family skiing and snowboarding! There is also a sledge lift for sledding! If you are looking to take ski or snowboard lessons, representatives from the ski school arrive at the hotel nightly at 9pm.…
We stayed in this hotel while on a little ski trip. The service is outstanding, not just for italy but for the whole of europe. The facilities of the hotel are a big perk. Free sauna, use of heated pool. The breakfast buffet is amazing, so hard to find breakfast in Europe that serves scrambled eggs, and free range..€2,50 (on bookings.com) will get you the buffet breakfast which will keep you full ‘till dinner time. Laundry service, good heating. Probably the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in as well. If you are going to Folgaria/Costa area this is the hotel to book!
We went skiing in Folgaria in the middle of January. The Hotel Villaggio Nevada is a terrific place to stay. The room had a comfortable bed that was bigger than king sized and two twin sized Murphy bed bunk beds that came down from a wall. It has all the amenities you could want, pool, spa, bar, and restaurant. The Hotel is 3 separate buildings, but all connected by a underground tunnel to keep you out of the cold! The restaurant was excellent as well and extremely reasonably priced. We ate lunch and three breakfasts over the course of our stay. The buffet breakfast was complementary for guests, but easily had a value of $15 if you were to pay for it. The hotel was also walking distance to several hotels as well as the ski slopes. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they were knowledgeable of the area and even acted as translator a couple of times when I needed help recharging my Italian cell phone. An excellent stay.…
We spent a few days in this hotel on a skiing trip in early March 2015. The experience in the hotel was generally good. The hotel is bigger and possible better that their web site suggests. It is a 5 minute walk to the main ski lift area. It is particularly child friendly. There is no great "night life" associated with the hotel and the bar lacked atmosphere (and indeed lacked beer sometimes!). It was a quiet , easy going experience and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was adequate. We did not eat in the evenings in the hotel and cannot comment and this. Note that there is an excellent pizza restaurant across the road from the hotel. The skiing in Folgaria is suitable for non-experts (which suited us!). The ski runs are blue and red with very few blacks. Some of the blues are nice , wide and not too steep.…
Family winter holiday was happening in Folgaria and the place to stay in was Villaggio Nevada in Costa, some 1km from Folgaria. The hotel consists of three separate buildings connected through a warm tunnel which has gym, pool, entertainment room and a place to socialise with tables and chairs. The connection to a modest yet big enough (low season) ski room and to the garage was through the same set of tunnels. A feature well executed and really nice. WiFi was present, but not always usable in our edge of 200 building. Definitely not good in the afternoon, early night. English is very much a foreign language for a lot of them, which was overcame by our Italian knowledge, but not funny at moments... ROOM: We got quadruple room through a hotel searching/booking site. It was actually a converted double with a place for a table and seating area turned into one bed and one single added. Kids were not complaining about the comfort, but it was a bit cramped. One really strange thing was poor light. I guess a stronger light bulbs would do much better. Back to the room, not big, but clean and well kept ans warm. Not too warm, though. The bathroom was decent, liquid soap/shampoo/shower gel dispensers all over the place - nice. We choose to use shower just after skiing and before the evening programme and found that it was not warm always, I even got into a situation to shower with cold water at 2200 - not nice. The room had a balcony and a view to Costa ski area and a huge parking (which meant that we got woken up around 7:30 each morning by a loud local bus (train on wheels). As we wanted to get up early, this was minor inconvenience, but still, I believe that the sound proofing had to be better. BREAKFAST: We opted for breakfast only, as we did not want to pay EUR22 per adult and EUR15 per child for a two course meal and water and wine included. That was about double what we paid in other restaurants and I do not drink wine anyway. Breakfast was better than your typical Italian sweet, but had only two types of cheese (slices and preprocessed), ham and a salami. You could squeeze your own orange juice if you had time (breakfast was from 8 until 9:30). You could go for some less healthy but definitely not bad juices (multivitamin and red orange). Tee and coffee from the machine rounded up the drinks part. You could have muesli and two to three types of pastries and two types of sweet cakes. POOL: Modest, with safe children area, not for swimming, rather for relaxing, the other wellness areas would be more interesting for adults. Too much chlorine in it, we used it once. ENTERTAINMENT: Children's club (my 11 and 6 year old kids ran after showering) was a great thing. Started at 1530 run by Mariangela and Francesco was a place where kids enjoyed being creative as well as mingling with other kids. It stops at 19 to not a bit of grunting by my two rascals. And it continues at 21 with children disco, same as in many other places, but kids loved it and that was the point. There is evening entertainment for grown ups but we never took part or stayed, too tired. Maria speaks English enough to keep kids amused but there was a problem in communication from time to time, nothing serious, though. Conclusion: 3 star hotel, very nice idea, needs a bit of polishing, children more than satisfied and a pleasant surprise overall.…
nice hotel with friendly staff . rooms were very clean and good breakfast. very close to the skiing resort . we were a family of ten people and took three rooms . the two small things are that the Wi-Fi was not working and the breakfast should be a little bit earlier because of the busses . but they were very kind and opened us a little before .
