This was my third visit to the hotel. I have enjoyed each stay but have yet to use the spa facilities. The food is good and there are many other very good restaurants available within walking distance.
Really great hostel with really high standings. Special thanks to Filippo for the mountain bike experience. Downhill was challenging and perfect to enjoy surrounding while stepping up my bike skills !
Excellent food and facilities at this hotel. Stunning location. Wonderful service. Rooms a little dated. Very clean in all areas of the hotel. Lovely veranda area for the evening. Ideal central location
We had a double room that was adequate but a bit on the small side but with a great view over the countryside. A bit dated but renevations are in hand. Very clean with helpful, friendly staff. Food very good with a great variation and resonably priced for a 4* hotel. If you want a spa this is the place to go, €15 per day with a great range of treatments (at extra cost). The only down side was there is only one lift and small at that, and the room had no coffee and tea facility.
This hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel. It is located in the new town, on the side of the street. It has a spa, use of which costs extra. We had booked a standard double room. The room was far too small for two people, poky. Initially, we were given a room on second floor, facing the side of a building, very dark. We requested a change and were offered a room on the fifth floor, still partially facing the wall but with a little more light. Room and en suite were clean. Bed was comfortable, pillows a bit hard. Restaurant and bar are located on the first floor. . Nice seating area in the bar. Some of the bar staff not very friendly. We were not given a choice as to where we wished to sit for dinner, our group were put at large tables , separate to the other diners. Dinner time was 7.30 pm to 10 pm. However we were bullied into eating at 7.30 p.m. sharp. This was very convenient for the hotel for serving the food, but not for the guests. Not everyone wishes to dine at the same time or eats at the same pace. This was something we had not experienced on previous visits to Italy in other locations. Good choice from buffet for starter and dessert. There was no choice of menu for the other courses. Food was generally good. Waiters were mostly friendly. However, when we sat at a smaller table for breakfast, there was an outburst from one waiter. Not possible he said. Reception was helpful but some staff had little English. The hotel does not merit a 4 staf rating.…
