Really happy with the hotel and the grand decor. Would have enjoyed lazing around in the Dining Room, Drawing Room and Terrace but too busy seeing the city. Breakfast was superb. Would definitely come again and bring my grown-up daughters next time. A major factor for us was our ability to park in the grounds (although chargeable) and take our...

I visited Ferara at September of 2016. I stayed at Duchessa Isabella Hotel for 2 nights. I was not impressed by this hotel. The rooms were not good for my taste. They were old and tacky. The bathrooms also the same. There was a spa inside the hotel but did not get the chanse to visit it. In general the...

The hotel advertises with 5 star but it service is nearly a 3 star, unpleasant and unfriendly welcome , very limited breakfast and staff seems to be bored with there job.., the family room was kind of okay for family with small children but the bathroom is outdated, the only positive it looks nice and is close to the city...

From an international travelers perspective , I would certainly say this hotel has an old world charm about it . It's laid back with a century old or probably older room decor . The charge you extra for a spa ( steam n sauna 😂) package . The breakfast is good . The shower cubicle in the bathroom can barely...

Dull, very far from a 5star experience, decently priced tho they charge 11 euros for overnight parking which seems odd to say the least. Small cheap-ish breakfast. Not sure I would consider a second visit. Haven't got a chance to try the restaurant but I'm not willing to take my chances even tho there was a Michelin guide sticker on...

The Hotel Duchessa Isabella has been a big disappointment. A real shame considering that Ferrara proved to be a lovely city where is easy to spend a nice week end away, if not ruined by the poor service and the bad attitude of the people, as we did face in this hotel; The position of the hotel is fantastic, located...

This hotel is WAY past its prime --- shame, given the potential of this great old building and location and character. Service was just outstandingly abysmal --- refused to deliver inroom dinner at 730pm because 'that staff had gone home'; didn't set the air conditioner on entry, then unable to get it running at all, AND did not offer another...

I stayed at this hotel during the Festival of the magazine Internazionale as I was one of the international speakers. It was the worst hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is incredibly dirty, we found finger nails on one of the bed side tables, pubes in the toilet and dead spiders on the floor. The staff is extremely rude,...

I had a really great and romantic time in this cosy and charming historical place! The restaurant is a fantastic small and "home feeling" boutique with high level of service in line with the tradition of hospitality of the city (Ferrara) where it is base. The building is a '800 original patronal building all restored with a Luxury small but...

Great family run feeling, delicious meals, excellent service. BUT they need to invest in modernizing and refurbishing. The room key drove me crazy the heat didn't work i was so hot opened the window but then was eaten alive by mosquitoes. Internet access was free WiFi but complicated to access. They need new shower curtains and wallpaper.
