Fairly new and modern structure with spacious rooms. Good in room WiFi (18 Mbps), but no signal in the pool area. Staff is very friendly, and happy to help out. Unfortunately there is no in-room safe or even refrigerator. There is an electric kettle with coffee & tea facilities. The desk is completely inadequate. Since it has the coffee/tea making facilities placed on it, it’s too small to get any work done, which is ridiculous seeing the size of the room. The only bin in the room is in the bathroom, so any waste you have in the room (coffee tea making or other) has to be transported to the bathroom every time. Not a really big inconvenience, but what would an extra bin cost? On arrival, the room seemed clean, but didn’t seem to have been dusted for a while, probably cleaned after last guests had departed and left as is until we arrived. We found quite alot of it around. Subsequent daily cleaning however did little to remove the dust. There is no air conditioning, but only an ecological cooling system which cools the room via the floor, so it is pleasant but slow to get to regime, so if you’re looking for a quick blast of air, there is none, and if you want to cool down fast, just adjusting the thermostat will require some time as it’s not an immediate cooldown. But once you acclimatize to it its vey pleasant since there are no icy blasts of air. Beds are very comfortable, bathroom spacious, good water pressure in the shower. One thing I didn’t like too much was they insist on full payment of the whole stay right on check in. Don’t see why it’s necessary, as they already block the total amount on your credit card 2 days before arrival. Breakfast is an extra €5 per person, and is served from 7.30 – 9.30 am ( 8.00 – 9.30 on weekends) so if your day starts early, u may as well skip it and use one of the cafes in town. Otherwise it’s just a simple continental breakfast. On the whole a good place to stay, being not so central meant the rooms were quiet.

Faenza doesn't have as many centrally located places to stay as nearby towns/cities like Ferarra and Ravenna, so the prices are higher. This B&B (strictly, a "room and breakfast", as it is purely a business rather than rooms to let in the owner's home) is of a similar standard to a modern 3-star hotel, but without the 24-hour reception and other hotel services. We got a warm welcome from the English-speaking manager (or owner?). The Magnolia is in a new block with a lift and large, light rooms. Ours had a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The area is quite industrial, on a busy road and near the railway, but the sound insulation must have been good because we slept well. Guests can borrow bikes, which is a good idea because the B&B is about 3km from the centre of town (but nearer to the station). Breakfast was quite good by Italian standards and the wi-fi, air conditioning and everything else worked well. Unusually for Italy, there is a kettle and tea/coffee provided in each room. The pizzeria/restaurant next door gives a 10% discount to guests and is OK for a simple meal so there is no need to trek back into the centre to eat.

This is a B&B located near the industrial area of Faenza. It takes about 20 mins' walk to reach the city centre and 10 mins' to reach the railway station. In spite of its location the place is very nice and peaceful. The building is new, the rooms are spacious, well lit and nicely - though very basically - furnished. There are a few IKEA items but they are well mixed with the rest of the decor. The rooms have coffee making facilities, LCD TV and free wi-fi. Excellent cleanliness. There's also a swimming pool - not just a paddling pool, but a large one where one can swim! - which makes the place very enjoyable in summer. Breakfast is sufficiently varied. Finally, Valentina, the manager, is very friendly, helpful, and efficient. On the whole a very nice place that offers good value for money - with a plus: the swimming pool. Recommended if you're travelling on business - it's near the Faenza motorway exit.
