We found this place after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and we did not regret our choice. We are 3 cyclists and we did rides every day during our stay. Corvara is simply paradise! Food was excellent and abundant, staff and owners were friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated the laundry service every evening. I hope to be back some day!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel, a cycling trip from our local club. Hotel is very clean and tidy, food very nice, we had half board and the evening meals were fine, breakfast great and ideal for cyclists. The wellness centre was good, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and sauna and relaxing areas too, ideal after a day riding. We had a transfer from Treviso by the owner of the hotel which was really useful, as was the bike room and the ability to get kit washed each day for free. Owners and staff friendly and courteous, shout out too for Luca who was a lovely patient guy. Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day to the fabulous part of the world, particularly if you’re a cyclist! 😀👍🚴🇮🇹

We recently stayed here a few nights for a bicycle event. First, the positives: The room was very nice, clean, well cared for, had a nice view of the surrounding mountains. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and eager to please. The common areas seem clean and they have a nice outdoor patio in the front to sit on before or after dinner. Close to town, short walk to most everything. It’s in the middle of a lot of other hotels and guest houses, so there can be some noise, but the windows have good sound-proofing. Opportunities for improvement: The food. We have now stayed at 3 separate hotels in the Corvara/La Villa area, and this is easily a distant third when it comes to food. (Message me and I’ll tell you which one is best in our opinion). While sometimes good, it is too often just mediocre—not very creative, not very flavorful, not much effort apparent. One night we ordered, I forget what, and the dish came with green beans. Which were clearly out of a can or otherwise not fresh. Come on you guys, this is Italy, you cook what’s in season and/or fresh, and if can’t get fresh green beans, don’t serve them. Yuck. The breakfast was okay, but not nearly as wide ranging in the offerings as other hotels we’ve stayed at in the area. Not very much offered in terms of pastries, and if you want coffee, it comes from one of those machines where you choose cappuccino, latte, or chocolate, or whatever and push a button. Again, this is Italy, the country that invented good coffee—no espresso machine and someone to run it?? And zero decaf unless you want ‘barley coffee’, whatever that is. And the decor of the dining room made it feel like a cafeteria. One big open space, no coziness or charm. I’m not a decorator by any means, but even i could see that adding a table, or some potted plants, or anything to break up the room would go a long way to adding intimacy and charm. This combined with the so-so food made for an unappealing dining experience for both breakfast and dinner. The good news for the hotel is that this is a pretty easy to fix. I guess.

Dear Mrs. LeoDavoe, thank you for your review and for your time. We are sorry that you were not satisfied of our cuisine. Many guests compliment our cuisine, but we also understand that tastes are very subjective. We try to do our best to meet the tastes and preferences of all guests. Unfortunately, this is not always possible. For what concern for not fresh dishes, we notify our guests with a note on the menu saying that in case of necessity we use frozen product but we never use canned food. Surely, it isn’t expired or rotten food. Our coffee machine uses freshly ground coffee beans and whole milk. We don’t use frozen, concentrated or water-soluble products. During breakfast our waiters are available to customers, even for decaffeinated coffee. We apologize if you were not informed in the right way and we have already advised our waiters about it. For what concern dining room décor, we change it every season, some may like it and others may not. Our intent is always to create a welcoming place. We will surely consider your review as a possibility to improve. We hope to welcome you again in our hotel and we wish you all the best. Family Piai Hotel Gran Fanes
