Excellent ocation in the center, 50 meters from ski bus stop. Available (payed) parking behind. Big room with three beds, big bathroom, storage room and two terraces. Equipment is very basic but functional. Miniature LCD TV. Good Wi-Fi. No fridge. Bath with shower curtain, very hard to avoid water on the floor. Sleep is not bad, but pillows are very thin. Breakfast is more than basic: boiled eggs, yellow cheese, prosciutto cotto and crudo, sausage, kind of quiche, jam, honey, croissants, cake bread, milk, yogurt, coffee machine, fruit. Pool water is sometimes not warm enough. Pool shower is not working.
I very rarely write a negative revew, but in this case I believe potential visitors should understand what they are getting from this hotel. On the positive side, the hotel is located at the top of the pedestrian walkway through town close to shopping and restaurants. Also, it is right across the square from the bus to both main lift areas. Front desk staff was pleasant and the very small hotel common area is cozy. However, beware of VERY small rooms - two of ther the three we rented we so small it was difficult for two adults to move around. NO amenities in the room - one pillow per bed, not very comfortable bedding, only plastic cups, only soap in wall mounted dispensers and tiny TVs with not even CNN or BBC english channel. Breakfast was included, but was just OK. Completely self seveved, no staff and no hot dish selections. I travel a lot in Europe including frequent ski vacations in lower cost ski hotels, but this is the lowest grade hotel I've stayed in, Really not very happy at all. One other note, the attached restaurant "Dolomeats" is quite good, although it has no connection to the hotel, so no half board.…
3階の角部屋に泊まりました。 部屋のベッドからはトファナ、クロダ、クリスタッロなどが見えました。 ホテルは町の中心にあり、とても便利な場所にあります。 We stayed in a corner room on the 3rd floor. We could see mountains Tofana, Croda, Cristallo, etc. from the bed in our room. The hotel is located in the center of the town and very convenient place.
Terrific hospitality, patience, and humor as we attempted to check in using a few phrases learned from our Italian phrase book. Totally unnecessary, as the staff were all fluent in English. Corner room was spacious, with a window on one wall and a balcony on another. Bathroom fixtures and tiling all seemed new, and the room was very pleasant and clean. Breakfast had terrific pastries, sausage and speck, yogurt and cereal. Wonderful stay at a great price.
I chose Hotel Aquila for its central location, luggage storage and price and I wasn't disappointed. And it is a 5 minute or so walk to the bus station. We were two couples and booked a family room. The bunkbed room was a bit small for adults but would have been fine for children. Luckily we were only there for one night before and after a hiking trip. Separate rooms would have been better for a longer stay. Otherwise the rooms were fine and the bathroom was a good size and we had a balcony. As in all hotels we stayed in, in Italy, shampoo and body wash were in refillable containers attached to the wall which I think is a great idea. Much better for the environment than small disposable containers. A reasonable breakfast was included in the price and staff were generally friendly and helpful. I booked direct with the hotel as it was a bit cheaper that way and was easy to do on their website.…
