My wife and I stopped here whilst on holiday.

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the town (approx. 1.2km from the town centre) and is an easy 15 minute walk into Cortina.

The hotel is OK, there are things which let it down, for example there is no air conditioning in the rooms and it was well over 25 degrees at night. One of my major issues with this hotel is that the overwhelming smell of tobacco smoke drifting through the hotel at times which is caused by people smoking right outside the reception - staff included!

The rooms in the new section of the hotel are very nice but choose your room carefully otherwise your view is of the balcony opposite in the older section of the hotel....housekeeping could be improved somewhat as there were a couple of issues which were not addressed after a few days which really should have been picked up on the daily call.

The food is ok but nothing startling and the staff are helpful.

Of the hotels of this type in the town it is possibly one of the better ones but I would recommend having a good look around the town before booking.

My husband and I stayed here for six nights while doing day hikes in the region. It is a few minutes walk or drive from the centre of Cortina but please don’t let that put you off: it is a beautiful, quiet hotel with modern, refined and high quality decor and amenities. The staff are refined, polite and helpful and gave us tremendous dinner recommendations. Our room (45) was spacious, with a lovely deck overlooking a mountain vista. I loved the region and when we return, will have no hesitation to stay here again.

I have just returned from a 10 day break in Cortina with my partner who ran the Ultra marathon... We booked the hotel on line, and didn't read the reviews, well I didn't anyways. 2 weeks before we arrived I mailed the hotel to help find me a fly fishing guide, 3 days later I got the reply and was connected to the guide, @ days of blish on the Rivers with one of the nicest people I have met I was picked up fed lunch tacked to two seperate rivers and had a brilliant time. I have seen some negative comments on the old rooms this I cant comment on as when we arrived we was upgraded to a superior F,O.C the reception Guy's fantastic. Room very nice yes rather hot when arrived I asked for the aircon and was told this is Cortina the air is great open the window this i did perfect zero noise and cool. Never tried the Spa area but looked very clean. Breakfast again I have read some negative posts, I have to say it was great lots different breads fresh fruits eggs bacon cheese etc etc yes after a week was kinda the same but good food and plenty of it, the staff brilliant as you walk in they shout the coffee you had the previous day to you and smile. dinner we had 2 meals the food was good excellent service...Ok had some better meals out side the hotel but generally nice evening meal and wine. So for the hotel and Staff id say brilliant. Location is down the road from the main town so need a car or a easy walk i think. The surrounding area man this is brilliant I fished, hiked, mountaiin biked its a adult play ground, off season was hard to find places opne 12:30-2:30 for lunch but managed, local super matket went 7 times only managed to park once night mare of a place to park... I will be going again next year for 2 weeks

Do

Hire a moutnain bike or E bike and follow the trails fantastic
Do fly fishing expensive but great
Do explore the hills and villages for great places to eat

I have lived all over the world and Asia and Europe the Dolomites is a very special place

Thumbs up to all the staff! Friendly, cheerful and helpful. Hotel is clean, neat with nice big shower. Every angle has a view one would just never get tired of. Breakfast buffet was included, reasonable selection of food and good coffee;) we had 2 dinners here both I’d say above average. There’s a sauna and a pool but we dint get to use them. overall very enjoyable stay and I do look forward to coming back!

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights between the 24th - 28th Dec. 2017 and we were in the new wing.
The room was nice but was too hot even in winter. We called reception on one of the nights to complain about the heat and the lady said she was going to set it to 20degrees as we requested but nothing was done and it made sleeping unbearable.
If you have to leave early in the morning you better fold your things because the cleaning ladies will only dump them in the sofa without folding them.
The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful but breakfast could have a little bit more variety. If you are not a fan of scrambled eggs, be prepared to spend extra for an omelette which I did but it wasn't even prepared the way I requested. I was told " that was how it must be done"
I wouldn't waste money at the restaurant if I ever come back.
Thank Catherine B
