We hiked to rifugio dibona and stayed there on a "1/2 pension" - accomodation, set menu dinner and breakfast. The food was really tasty. They had gluten free options for me. I had GF pasta entree, chicken main course, and side salad as my choice from the set menu. They didn't have GF dessert but offered me fruit. I was... More

I recently came back to Rifugio Di Bona after years...WOW! Homemade food in a wonderful location! All what we had was excellent: cassunziei are just like my grandma's, the meat was juicy and tender and the desserts were simply unbelievable. Top choice if you are in this area.

The refuge is located right next to Tofana di Rozes and is a great place to start some excellent trails or Via Ferrata. We did Via Ferrata Punta Anna from here. There is another refuge nearby (Rifugio Pomedes) but the track is rougher and only really suitable for 4X4s with decent ground clearance. The road up to Dibona is mostly... More

We ventured up the gravel road, off the main road up to Lagazuoi, to Rifugio Angelo Dibona for lunch and to marvel at the incredible scenery of the surrounding Dolomite Mountains. We ate lunch out on the deck, taking in the scenery. The fare was of very good quality and there was quite a reasonable selection of foods. We were... More

This review is just about the restaurant. I love this place! Indeed the Dormouse family do and we have visited over several years. It is located close to some incredible climbing, some lovely walks, calling marmots, wild flowers and it serves wonderful food...what more could one ask for? The young manager has devised an innovative menu and the portions are... More

Visited and stayed overnight as part of a three day walk in the Dolomites. Lovely rustic charm, relaxed atmosphere, hearty food, and friendly staff. Great views from the terrace of the surrounding mountains.

The Rifugio Dibona is an incredibly friendly and well run establishment. We spent 5 nights there using it as a base to do some of the hardest via ferrata in the Dolomites. It was an ideal location to do amazing routes like the Punta anna, Tomaslie, lipella ect. For 50 euro each per night we got a 4 person bunk... More

This Refugio is a jewel in the Dolomites. Far from the busy slopes of Tofana and Ra Valles. Dibona is only accessible for hikers in the summer and off-piste skiers from Bus Tofana in the winter – unless you organize a snow-scooter pick-up from the Tofanina slope. Dibona offers a wide selection of well-made local dishes. Great pasta and mains,... More

We stayed in this rifugio in several diferente nights during our trip to Dolomitas last summer (August-September 2015). You can cook outside the rifugio (if you have a stove) but it is really worth to taste the dinner inside, and also the cakes. The chef was very nice also! We only stayed in 2 different rooms in the new building... More

This place while not fancy was amazing. The hiking from the door is unbelievable. High in the Dolomites. The staff was super friendly. Dinner was way Way bigger than expected for 50 euros a night which also includes bread and jam for breakfast. The bunks were clean as well as the bath rooms. The bar area was a lot of... More
