Hotel's Favorite
The service, the location, the view, the room and the food! My wife and I enjoyed a five-day stay in September. We basically enjoyed every part of our stay. Here’s what stood out… The room was a suite with 2 br and a living room, all done very simply in solid woods in traditional mountain style. Nothing fancy, but it suits the location, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is centrally located, and when you step out onto your terrace, you have a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. We selected the mezza pensione, meaning that breakfast and dinner were included. I’ve been traveling to Italy for 22 years now and have been exposed to a lot of very good Italian cuisine, including two earlier trips to Cortina. I have to say this place has an extraordinary kitchen with every meal a distinct pleasure. Much of what drives the pleasure is the superb level of attentive and enjoyable service by the dining staff led by Stefano. Can’t say enough good about each of the staff, their training and their attentiveness. Same goes for the front desk who were always responsive and provided very helpful advice on the weather and local places of interest. My only complaint is that the rooms need to be updated with sufficient electrical outlets for our devices. Like many Italian hotels, this is under-equipped. Parking is avail at 25€ per day in the garage, and even with the pre-paid meals you’ll need to pay extra for the water and wine. All together a wonderful stay - highly recommended.

Of course there are luxurious resorts around Cortina d’Ampezzo, but, if you want to be in the middle of things, this is the place to be. It offers direct views of the main drag in town. It puts you in walking distance from everything. I don’t ski anymore, but even that aspect is covered. They can shuttle you to the slopes from main entrance. To me, the greatest thing was the opportunity to stroll up and down downtown Cortina. You can be anywhere in no more than 20 minutes on foot. The suite was quite spacious. The place is old and rustic, but I liked it. Very quaint. I realize this is not for everyone. You should look at as many pictures and decide for yourself. The only item I was displeased with is their gym. It was lacking in many respects. I’m sure they remediate this particular problem. If I ever return, I, most likely, will stay there.

Most of the hotels in Cortina are in need of an update. It's stuck in a James Bond movie time warp. I'd even be okay with a super clean, painted room but it felt like an Ikea furnished room. English channels on the tv are non-existent. And there's nothing to do in Cortina at night. There's no "apres-ski" scene except a few wine bars standing out in the cold drinking Aperol spritzes. I was given a large unusable porch. Ice forms in the deck or you're dodging icicles. There were cigarette butts and it's over the garage and deliveries start early. We left and stayed in Innsbruck for a third the price at a new modern Marriott. The service is decent but the small spa/gym had no availability so you're paying for something you probably can't use. At $300+ a night, a Hampton Inn would've been better.

Don’t expect too much if you come here, staff not welcoming and warm. Rooms outdated, that’s ok if they are looked after but here little investment over time. Nothing to rest soap etc in the shower, the shower handles very hard to swap from shower head to hand held. Staff not interested in their guests and prefer not to make eye contact. WiFi does not work in the rooms, and staff give you the look of “oh really” that’s unusual - wow !! They think all guests must be stupid ? Hotel did want turn heating on in the rooms, instead provided us with strip heater in the room, saying due to few guests wanted to save money ! They made no effort to upsell amenities in the Hotel nor for their restaurant, oh and no offer to help with luggage. Location is great, close to main square and nice shops and restaurants in the area

We didn't stay in this hotel, but enjoyed dinner here a few times on the outside terrace. A good place for aperitivo's followed by a very good meal. The menu offers good choices for starters, pasta's, mains and deserts. Also, the coctail and wine list is very good. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Probably a super hip hotel in about 1975, but has not aged well. Very tired decor. Rooms are small. Bathrooms are very tight with old fashioned shower-over-the-bath which sprays water over the floor. Bed is creaky and noisy. There is no public parking nearby so the hotel also charges E35 for parking!

I have chosen the region of Cortina to be my one week vacation spot. I must admit it was the best choice I ever made. There is a huge variety of hotels to choose to however Bellevue Suites and Spa was amazingly the most tempting one because of the architecture and the perfect spot if you want the best view of the Dolomites. I did not stay there to enjoy the comfort of the rooms but the selection of the food menu was admirably the best. They have a very culinary selection of Italian recipes and admirably presented. The entire dining staff from servers, chef and manager showed me so much courtesy with an excellent dedication to the clients' needs. I have been to many places but the professionalism I have encountered there was stunning and the food and presentation were diligently served with the best quality we know from 4 stars hotels. They have a very nice and luxurious spa managed by a professional staff who will indulge to your most concerns. Definitively looking to go back again!!!!!

Hi, these recension is abouth the amount of plastik is used in the hotel. For lunch we got plastic fork, knife and plates outh of carton. Even the oil, accid and salt are backed in plastik. Thats apsolutly not enviromental thinking, and it s not abouth the modern standart of respecting enviroment and nature. Stuff was very polite and nice

Bellevue has a great location, central and walking distance to most things in Cortina. However The Hotel looks better on paper than in person....we arrived all the way from Cape Town for a family skiing holiday in late March. We were under the impression we had booked one of the most spacious and luxurious (and expensive) suites the hotel had to offer, but arrived to a completely different room. I complained and we were moved to another room with a better configuration, resembling more of our expectations compared to the first room. We had paid extra for the Kitchenette option-in the first room they had given us the “kitchen” was literally inside a cupboard in the kids tiny (very tiny) bedroom....the second one was separate but still lacked an electric kettle and a toaster....but it had a fridge. You can imagine coming all the way from Cape Town we had some expectations of what our stay in Cortina would be like, hence we were really looking forward to having a big balcony where we could enjoy a glass of Prosecco and enjoy the serene fresh air and the mountain view of the snow decked Dolomites....our room had the balcony, but it was on the 2.floor and faced another building overlooking a super busy road....I had read a review from someone else before we booked about there being some noise from a club at hotel Europe just up the road.....but we are a young family with teenagers and generally we tend to be the loud ones, so I ignored it and thought the reviewer was of the sensitive type.....WELL....I couldn’t be more wrong....firstly the noise from the club goers was actually really bad, BUT the real issue was that the road right outside the hotel (looks pretty small on the map) is a main artery of Cortina and you won’t believe me until you see it for yourself how many trucks come passed at full steam 24/7!!!! It is sooo loud and so bad it is like staying right next to a Highway basically!!!We stayed longer than anyone else we met at the Hotel (just under a week) and had come from further afield than 99% of all the other guests and still they gave us one of what had to be one of the worst rooms?!The original room they gave was wouldn’t have been any better as it was facing the same road, just a floor higher up. We couldn’t sleep with our windows open due to the constant noise. It was a real annoyance. The Hotel Resturant was totally empty every single night we were there. No athmosohere, no vibe. So we ate out every evening.Same with the tiny Bar....One morning my teenage daughter and I wanted to book some Spa treatments and just have a lazy pamper morning at the hotel while the boys were Snowboarding. We arrived downstairs at the Spa in our robes, clearly guests of the hotel, and we were turned away because my daughter was under the age of 16. The Spa was completely empty. We wanted massages and treatments for both of us. We travel extensively and this has never happened to us before. She comes with me to spas at real luxury hotels all of the world frequently. Not even an apology from the Spa receptionist when we had to return to our room without a solution. The Breakfast was very average, with everything like Fresh orange juices etc.at extra charge, the staff was never friendly nor were they rude. The basement equipment room and garage was handy and worked well. All in all a very unmemorable and mediocre stay at a nice looking hotel, although Cortina itself is great and well worth the visit....
