Hotel has seen better days. Although clean and functional, need some TLC. We had 4 rooms, and while ours was good, everything working, others had trouble with TV, toilet and shower. Rooms are large for Europe, and clean. Bed was ok. Our bathroom was also large by European standards. The food was ok, but the menu was limited. The waiter was very helpful, and service oriented, although he spoke very little English. Continental breakfast was also ok, with boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, ham and bread and croissant. No gourmet meal but hot and acceptable. This was probably a very nice resort in its day, but I suspect Covid impactes the resort greatly.
This hotel was an overnight stop without a lot of expectations. It is a really nice hotel in a really nice spot - it just needs a bit of updating and love. Good value for money and the staff were the best. The breakfast is complimentary but not very good - get some breakfast on the road.
ok for overnight stay. Convenient for port of Civitavecchia. Staff were helpful. Views were lovely. We had a comfortable sleep. But the hotel is “tired” & has seen better days. Not up to Mecure’s usual standard.
firstly, 4 star.? must be for facilities even thou most things are tired or broken. I stayed there twice last week and was extremely disappointed in relation to cost verses quality. the first night i stayed i was in a room and everything seemed to be broken. even a piece of wood was glued over a crack in the bathroom mirror. the toilet seat was broken, 2 out of the 4 bathroom lights didn’t work, only a trickle of cold water came from the sink tap, paintwork missing and very poor on doors and frames, tiles missing where old shower screens were fitted to walls, mosquito screens fitted to shutters and not finished off. and i could go on. the second night i stayed i was in a different room and had to clean the toilet myself when i entered the room from check in. again a very tired room. i went to the bar for a beer and the waiter shouted at me from the other side of the room for me to get it myself. this happened again when in the morning when i asked for a coffee from a waitress. I couldn’t get a drink at the bar in the afternoon until 7pm. And the second night cost me over 180.00€ if it was my hotel i would be ashamed to open the doors. i would love to say “ i will never stay here again” but unfortunately it is the only Accor hotel in the area and i pass here for work…
Not our normal type of modern hotel that we stay , this hotel is rustic with a nice charm about it , needs a bit of tlc, but really enjoyed our one night stay , room was large with a balcony looking out to sea , fantastic! Lovely terrace overlooking the sea for lunch , staff very friendly, our only concern was the safe , it needed to be bolted to the wall , overall very good
Missing a number of key features of a four star hotel including regular sheet changes, a bit phone in the bedroom, appropriate charging ports. Wi-Fi regularly dropped out, property needs major investment to be brought back to life after significant wear and aging. Breakfast was very low quality with limited spread. Fridge in room did not function and there was no minibar. Loud music on Thursday and Friday night until after midnight and on Saturday morning. Very beautiful location and could be an excellent hotel with sizeable investment in renovation and food service. I also recommend implementing a free train station shuttle service considering the sizeable walk and limited cab and Uber facilities. Also provide guests with plastic glasses and bottled water in rooms, and allow them to take wine glasses to their rooms on request. Staff were pleasant and efficient.…
The hotel is nice and with a wonderful view. The superior room with sea view is perfect. Big parking . The breakfast is terrible like in one star hotel, some eggs with no taste. Please do something with the breakfast because take down so a nice hotel.
This hotel was clean and decent but not more. Breakfast was ok also. Would not stay there for more than one or two nights. Water pressure in the shower was not the best. Staff did not have much time for their guests. We were told that our room would be ready by 14h00 but we finally got it at 16h00. Not the best when you just flew in from North America. Well located if you are in transit to board a cruise ship. Would I recommend it, most likely yes but only for a very short stay.
Hotel was/is in need of refurbishment, as looking very tired and in need of modernisation. Bed was very old and in need of replacement. Staff were friendly and helpful. Views from hotel were amazing. Meal and break were particularly poor quality and lacking in variety compared to competitors.
Arriving after an extended ferry trip from Spain, we were welcomed genuinely and check in was quick. Room was on the ground floor with a balcony overlooking the marina. Clean and comfortable with superb water pressure in the shower. Breakfast buffet was limited, but served quickly. The great joy was the proximity to the port, less than 15 minutes. My only complaint would be the tree root speed humps in the car park, take it very steady....
