My husband and I spent one night here in advance of our cruise. Giuseppe, the hotel manager, greeted us with a smile and friendliness. He was outstanding. He gave us a city map, pointed out things to do, and good restaurants. Our room was spotless and had a balcony overlooking the port and ships. We could have coffee, soft drinks,... More

Reserved this room based on rating with Trip Advisor. The pro's were the staff were very nice and helpful. The gentleman at the front desk upon check-in was very helpful. He walked us outside the hotel and pointed out our destinations. Correspondence with the hotel before arrival was prompt and helpful. The women that worked the breakfast area made the... More

Hotel Traghetto is a commercial hotel for the traveling salesman or long haul truck driver and doesn't pretend to be anything else. We had a large room, plenty of towels and a comfortable bed. We were warmly greater at reception. The hotel is next door to a wonderful pizza stand and a block from the cruise port shuttle bus. A... More

This hotel is not modern, but in the city center. Good for cruiseship passenger for overnight as shutter to the port close by. Front desk is very helpful to show me the town. There is no coffee pot in the room and carrying the key is heavy.

This charming little hotel is literally steps away from the Cruise Ship shuttle bus parking lot. It was the perfect place to stay one night prior to our cruise. The rooms are not fancy, but have all the necessary conveniences and free wi-fi. US people who forget their currency converter plugs can borrow one from the extremely friendly and helpful... More

Stayed here on Oct 17 for one night pre cruise. Room was clean and met our needs for a one night stay. Front desk staff was really helpful with dining options and general information on city. Breakfast was good and the breakfast attendant was superb. After our cruise ended we went to the hotel to call for a rental car... More

To me, these ratings reflect just about as much about the reviewer as they do the property, and that's important to mention for this hotel. It is not a Five Star Hotel, but it does deserve Five Bullets for Excellence on TripAdvisor. Why? Because it's an 80 euro hotel, including a breakfast and is steps away from the free shuttles... We only stayed one night and we got what we expected for what we paid. Our plan was for a one night stay pre Cruise. The rooms are clean and ok for short stays. While talking to a older couple they brought up that the rooms are not well suited for seniors who are challenged with mobility issues. There are... More

The staff (Giuseppe and Alejandro) were excellent at timely followup and arranging transportation for the 6 of us from Rome FCO to hotel. We were leaving on a cruise and flew in a day early. Stayed at this property based on other Trip Advisor reviews. Reasonable rate. Good breakfast included. Hotel is right across the street from free shuttle buses... More

I am disappointed in Trip Advisor on this one . Unless every hotel in Civitavecchia is a dump how can you give this four stars since it is three star hotel. Hotel is dingy, shower barely fits a person of normal size. The room smelled of disinfectant and blankets were thrown in closet. Also we had scheduled a car to take us... More
