The hotel is well situated in the town centre. Our room with balcony, which overlooked the main square was always spotlessly clean with regular towel changes. We enjoyed a dip in the pool upon returning to the hotel after a day out exploring nearby cities and countryside. The staff were efficient, pleasant and polite and very helpful. The waitress service... More

I stayed at the Grand Plaza in September with two friends.on a Newmarket package. The hotel was basic but spotlessly clean. Luciano was so funny he reminded me of Bssil Fawlty & his wife of Sybil. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was imaginative & plentiful. Twice a week there was a dance in the hotel, a cross between... More

I think our stay at Grand Hotel Plaza, within an excellent Newmarket package holiday giving insights into Florence, Rome and Tuscany, added positively to our experience. Our home is in North Devon, where many hotels were built to accommodate 19th and 20th Century travellers who used the railway to holiday on the Devon and Cornish coasts, within reach of Exmoor... The hotel was adequate My room was large and roomy overlooking the side of the hotel and the bathroom clean with a very good shower. It was extremely central, situated directly on the plaza, it was quiet in October but may be noisy in the summer. The staff were very warm, friendly and helpful but the hotel itself has seen... Hotel in good position overlooking lovely piazza. The bedroom was very big as was the balcony, but we were on side of Hotel not on the front. The weather when we were there was chilly and the bedrooms very cold. Management would not put on heating even though it was end of September; guest pressure eventually got them to relent... More

This hotel was adequate. The rooms were clean and offered everything we needed. The hotel food was good, and just being in Tuscany was heavenly. We traveled on a day trips to Florence, Siena & Cinque Terre, The churches, plaza's, countryside, and hillsides were spectacular. And Michael Angelo's DAVID was breath taking.

We have been to Hotel Plaza several times but this year it was awful!! We were so disappointed by the awful food that we were served ' it was disgraceful' and has changed so much since our recent trips. We asked for extra blankets and were laughed at and at first they wouldn't put the heating on. The rest of... More

This hotel has been described as 'old fashioned' but 'traditional' would cover it better in my view. It is certainly not luxurious but it is very comfortable and very nice. The rooms are typical 3 or 4 star but everything worked including a flat screen tv on which we could get BBC news. The air conditioning was set to only... More

I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly. There was a often entrainment either in the hotel or in the nearby plaza. The food was interesting and was mostly enjoyable (I`m not a great lover of Italian food, but I enjoyed food I didn't expect to enjoy). The rooms were good. The management were... More
