Unfortunately I never did get to stay at the Madison and lost my deposit of over Euro600. I originally booked to stay during May 2020 directly with the Hotel. This was many months prior to the Covid pandemic taking hold. Obviously my reservation could not be fulfilled as it fell during Covid restrictions which had since taken effect. Madison Hotel were not willing to refund and offered that I rebook before September 2021. I rebooked but Covid restrictions were still in place during 2021. Madison were still unwilling to refund and asked that I rebook before Spring 2022. We agreed a booking date at end of May 2022. Bad luck prevailed, Ryanair cancelled my flights and rebooking other flights would have meant more than doubling my cost. I had no other possibility of rebooking during 2022 and Madison have simply kept my Euro 600. I appreciate that Covid has meant difficult times for all, but given that things have settled down somewhat now and that the hotel will be able to sell their rooms I do think it would have been fairer for Madison to refund my original deposit. Given my experience I would advise anyone booking this hotel to make sure that the cancellation terms are both documented and clear. My experience has been one of a lack of understanding or fairness in dealing with my booking where the hotel has consistently referred to my deposit as a 'voucher'. Well my 'voucher' has now expired and what I view as my deposit money has not been refunded despite giving Madison Hotel many months notice prior to my stay. Be wary!…

Myself, my husband and three boys recently had a two week holiday in the Madison. The location is wonderful close to the port and Gabicce Mare and only a short stroll to the hub of Cattolica. We were in the Residence which is ideal for family. One big bedroom and also sofa beds in living area and a big balcony from which we had a view of the sea. It was very clean and cleaners visited every couple of days. The shower was small but really good power. The boys loved the pool and especially the slide. We were pleasantly surprised to have treats at the pool regularly, doughnuts one day, wine another. There is a little gym which was handy though might be good to have a fan there. We didn’t have a pass for a beach but found one we liked and visited it for just €22 for all of us per day. The hotel has free use of bikes and children’s buggies which we found very useful. The staff were very friendly especially the vigilant lifeguard though there was one quite sleepy young guy working in the bar in the evening who might benefit from some friendly lessons. Parking is difficult nearby but there is a free car park and shuttle service 2km away. We only ate breakfast once in the hotel as we were self catering. It was fine but I don’t think I’d pay the fee per person every day. All round we had a very positive experience. I would recommend both the hotel and the resort for a great Italian seaside holiday. One thing I missed was a washing machine but that might say more about my boys!!…

Stayed at the hotel for a business trip while visiting the local Misano circuit. The rooms were tiny and the beds uncomfortable. The photos posted on booking.com are not anywhere near representative of the hotel. It looks like they were taken in a completely different hotel. The staff unhelpful and at times rude and aggressive. The level of noise made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. While there a young football club was also there with about 30 youngsters. They were incredibly noisy to the level it was impossible to carry on a conversation in reception with anyone else while they were there. All pleas to the hotel staff to ask them to be quiet were ignored. Most bedrooms had views of a brick wall. A must to avoid!

We stayed here for five days for the moto gp, the hotel is in a good location near the beach. There is a port just down the steps with lots of restaurants and shops etc The hotel was very clean but a bit tired The staff were excellent and very helpful The only bad points were the beds were very hard and not very comfortable and the breakfast wasn’t very good it just seemed all very cheap and nasty although the coffee was lovely In general it was a good experience

We have been visiting Cattolica 11 times over the last two decades, for our summer holiday. The last 5 stays have been at Hotel Madison, and it definitely won't be the last. It's always a pleasure getting back to the hotel. The staff and hospitality they provide is excellent. The hotel is located just a very short walk from the beach, in quite surroundings but yet very centrally located with quick access (walking distance) to everything. The hotel is very clean, some of the rooms are a bit small, some apartments could need a upgrade but in general it keeps a high standard. The svimming pool at the hotel is clean, nice and with a good size. We have always had lunch and dinner included in our stay and the variation and quality of the food have always been extremely good. However this year (2018) the quality of the food did not live up to the standard we have experienced previous years. The food was in general more tasteless, and we experienced several times that the food was overcooked. Maybe it's time to give the chef a "heads-up". For that reason the rating ends on 4 instead of 5. If you want a relaxing, friendly and safe holiday, Cattolica is a place to visit. We will definitely return, and we will book our stay at Hotel Madison yet again :-).…

Have been there with my family and like the location of the hotel. It is at the port and close to all the restaurants at that area. There is in particular the best ice cream place just as you go down some stairs at the end of the street ( which was less then 50 m) The hotel has a big swimming pool I liked a lot. You could also walk to the pedestrian area where there are also other restaurants and bars. The only thing I am not giving excellent is the room size and because of the noise you could hear from one room to the other one. I mean everything :( that is not good. The TV till 2 a.m next door is not the ideal place to sleep.

We spent a week here at the beginning of September with our son, daughter in law and one year old granddaughter. We have stayed there several times in the past, but not visited for a few years. We were not disappointed. The staff were welcoming and the hotel was as good as ever. Families are welcomed and the little ones are well looked after. We stayed in apartments with half board in the hotel which suited us very well. The hotel is in a very good position in the resort and it's easy walking distance to places of interest. We hope to go back soon.

We were very happy with the facility's in the Madison. It has an excellent location and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will look forward to returning in the near future. We would highly recommend them. The facility of being able to use the bikes free of charge was an excellent idea.
