I have spent 4 nights at the residence Castiglione during a trip around Tuscany and Umbria. The residence is a 2 floors building, with pool, a small garden and apartments with kitchenette where you can cook your own meal. When I made the reservation I asked to include breakfast, and have enjoyed relaxed meals on the terrace overlooking the garden...

We have been 5 times in Residence Castiglione, just some 300 meters from beautiful centre of Castiglione del Lago, but still near nature and lake! The apartments and studios are clean and cosy and the owner Ivanella is very friendly! You feel like being home. At the morning you wake up hearing birds singing. You can make your own breakfast...

I have stayed here many times over the past - it is a great find. Walking distance from the charming hilltown of Castiglione del Lago (5-10 mins) and the lakeside (2-5 mins). There is a lovely pool and garden with plenty of loungers. It is a lovely spot for some R&R or as a base to tour the surrounding area...

“Ask Ivanella to show you the rooms :-) it depends also which floor you prefer ...”

“All the rooms are fine, so it depends on the type of accommodation you want. Even the rooms on the street side are quiet and noise is not a problem unless you dislike bird song, but you may sometimes get a slight hum from the air-conditioning. If you can pay the extra then having a mezzanine apartment with an inter-connecting bedroom is a nice option. For a bit more privacy, then try the Mansarda.”
