For the last 20 years, friends have been telling us how much they enjoyed Tuscany and staying at Podere Cogno. We recently stayed for four delightful nights and everything was as advertised. Our hosts, Marco and Giovanna, couldn't have been more congenial and helpful. The location, food and wine were terrific. Our accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Those four...

We have taken our kids to 12 countries in 5 years. This establishment is one of the best my family has had the pleasure to stay. Marco and Giovanna are excellent hosts. The facility is very clean and accommodating. They never miss a beat and the food was outstanding. It has been two years in November (2011) that we stayed...

Peaceful location, relaxed atmosphere and caring hosts made this our best holiday in Italy. Seven days at this Olive Farm felt like a lot more mainly due to the owners attention to small details and help with their local knowledge. It felt a privilege to be welcomed to their home. The unpretentious meals of local dishes all from local fresh...

My mom and I visited Podere Cogno for three nights in early April, 2013. We just visited Florence for 2 days, but also wanted to see the Chianti region and Siena. Podere Cogno is perfectly situated for this: very close to Siena (and even Florence) but because of its sheltered location in the valley you can relax and enjoy the...

My husband and I stayed here in for 3 unwelcomed nights. On our arrival in our smart car (we did not mind the white road; we had been warned) we were met by Marco. We were walked around the scenic property while Marco explained the endless variety of rules, no "picnics" anywhere on the property, including your own room unless...

It has taken me a bit of time to write a review of Podere Cogno after our stay but that is purely because I have struggled to decide how best to describe what a wonderful time we had here. I would like to point out that this isn’t some swanky hotel in the middle of a city; it is the...

As others have said, the little rocky road that leads you to the property can be somewhat daunting, but when you see Podere Cogno through a break in the trees it is breath taking! These roads are normal for the area so don't be alarmed. For us, Podere Cogno was nothing short of a dream come true. We stayed up...

OK, there is much to recommend this location, not least the hard working and outstandingly nice hosts. But for sure I didn't pick up on 4 kms of white road to get there! These people are exceptional hoteliers and leave little to chance. There is a pool, gym and hot tub, spacious grounds and good food. But for all of...

We have stayed with Marco and Giovanna many times before and Podere Cogno remains a fantastic holiday destination. The position of the hotel in the middle of the Tuscan countryside is perfect and in an ideal position to explore the surrounding area. Giovanna's cooking is exceptional with an antipasti plate full of different flavours, three more courses to follow and...

Difficult to come up with something original about Cogno as it's all been said. Just had our third visit and as usual despite a late arrival Marco and Giovanna were there to welcome us back with a drink and offer of something to eat. After 5 years nothing had changed. If all you want is peace and quiet with good...
