We stayed as part of a group on an Exodus walking holiday. Comfortable, traditional style villa in beautiful setting, a bit off the beaten track. Rooms were relatively basic, but very clean and adequate. We certainly didn't go hungry; generous sized, tasty meals throughout our week's stay. Friendly knowledgable staff, and even a very welcoming dog.

We stayed at Villa Casalta while enjoying Exodus Chianti Walking and Wine tour. The location was idyllic with stunning views over vineyards, olive trees, and across to the hill top town of Castellina which was a 10 minute walk away along a gravel road. We had dinner in town one evening and enjoyed a moonlit walk back to the villa...

Staying at villa Casalta during our Exodus wine and walking tour was a true delight. The views were stunning no matter where you looked and sleeping at night was sheer joy with beautiful breezes flowing in through our windows. The only sound at night was the local deer barking at each other. Our room was charming with the only complaint...

Had a fantastic time here, went on a walking and wine holiday with Exodus. The accommodation was fantastic and the pool very refreshing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend this villa for touring the area especially for visiting Siena, Florence and San Gimiagno, and of course the many wine tasting...

We only had one night here, but our experience was a memorable one. Excellent European breakfast by the pool, terrific views, and just 10 minutes by car to the 'downtown' area or 15 minutes to a vineyard/winery. Excellent and hope to visit here again.

Amazing, beautiful villa centrally located in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Warm and hospitable host, clean and elegant rooms, splendid views of the area. Will recommend to everyone. Note: dirt road of 2 km before reaching the villa, drive carefully.

This is an old farmhouse in a wooded setting that is a wonderful location to relax and explore the surrounding area. We recently spent three nights here and could have spent more because there's so much nearby. It's peaceful and quiet and the views are fantastic. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathrooms were nice and featured great...

The location is fantastic. The place is fantastic & the staff are friendly. But the food is not the best. Breakfast is a fine continental, but the evening meals leave a lot to be desired. A shame, as the holiday was great, but after a hard day, the food could be better. Also the advertised internet only worked on the...

We spent a couple of nights at the Relais Villa Casalta during our recent trip to Tuscany. The villa is located on a gravel road about 2 kilometers from the main road. Needless to say it is very peaceful with amazing views of the Tuscan hills and of Castelliina. We had a room on the main floor which was very...

Stayed here for a week on an exodus walking holiday with a group of 16. Lovely setting for old farmhouse with terrace overlooking woods and vineyards. 2 buildings and small chapel. Nice pool (unheated) and wonderful hospitality from owner and staff with own wine and olive oil from the villas vineyards. Great food served to the group trip although I...

“The rooms facing Castellina in Chianti get the sunshine during the day so the room was warm on our return which was great as it got cold once the sun had gone done and there is not heating during the month of October. People in the group found the rooms on the other side to be dark and cold.”
