We stayed for two weeks in August, overall we are very satisfied. The quadruple room is quite large with comfortable beds and clean towels every day, the only negative note is the wardrobe which does not have the possibility of attaching other hangers.
The entertainment at the top, we had never stayed in a Bluserena village and the evening shows are wonderful, the guys are true professionals: Andrea, Ciro, the very good choreographer, Giordana, the magician Simone and all the others. The sweet Serenino boys Edoardo, Tommaso and all the rest of the team always led by Simone.
The sea is more transparent some days, less so on others. The shuttle service is punctual and in the end it didn't bother us, also because we purchased the Jolly formula which allowed us to have lunch every day at the Scirò restaurant without having to run, booking 48 hours before the others. The choice is less extensive than in the central restaurant, but the sea view was worth everything. The Scirò staff is always available: the maitre Alberto, the chef Luca and Mr. Roberto spoiled us. In the evening, however, we dined on the patio, happy to be away from the chaos of the interior, too bad there wasn't a buffet downstairs as in previous years, so we were told. Climbing the stairs with trays and lots of children around wasn't very comfortable and sometimes even dangerous. A note of thanks to the waiters who are always very quick to clear the table, especially Antonella who is very good. In any case, the choice was varied and we ate very well, gaining at least 2/3 kg ;-)
The place is a nature reserve, so from this year they have prohibited the use of canoes and pedal boats on the beach. We were very disappointed, also because the site had not been updated with this information. Just as they have removed the showers and a mini bar directly on the beach (we were told by customers from the previous year) and for those with especially small children it is not at all easy. I recommend a restyling of the bathrooms and showers at the entrance to the beach, even if the lady continued to clean, they are absolutely not 4 stars. The latter was certainly the sore point of the holiday and many complained.
Finally, the very well-kept swimming pools, the lifeguards always careful to clean and supervise the children. The Calane one is salt water, we appreciated it.
I recommend going there, you will not be disappointed!!!

Just returned from a week at Calane' Village and I must say we had a great time. We booked a Superior room so we stayed in the central structure of the Village a few steps from the central restaurant, the swimming pool and all the main services. The Village is not very large but perhaps for this reason it is well organized in everything: from meals, to reception, to entertainment, to cleaning.
The room was always clean, we had towels and beach towels changed every day. Food always plentiful and of excellent quality. To reach the beach you need to take a shuttle/train which runs approximately every half hour, but at busy times even every 10 minutes (very convenient).
Top animation: right, engaging but not invasive. The evening shows are also engaging and beautiful! Congratulations to the whole team!

I feel the need to express my appreciation for the Calanè Resort of the Bluserena group, in a context in which people often write only to complain.
From the start, all the staff got to know and pampered our two-year-old son, making him feel special and the center of attention at all times.
The structure is perfectly designed for families with children, with a very concentrated layout that allows easy access to all services. The daily tidying up of the room was impeccable, a care that was reflected in every corner of the resort. Although the beach is a bit far away, the shuttle service is efficient, with almost no waiting times.
I would like to particularly highlight the skill of the entertainment team, and Ciro first and foremost, who demonstrates a talent and passion that will take him far.
Giacomo, the maitre d' of the central restaurant, has always been available, managing the relationship with customers professionally.
However, the real jewel of this resort is undoubtedly the Sciró restaurant, beautifully located directly on the sea. The location is enviable, but what truly elevates the experience to the next level is the exceptional service offered. Alberto, who manages the dining room team, is not simply a professional; it is the very essence of the passion for his work. Every gesture, every detail is taken care of with love and dedication that transform a simple lunch by the sea into something special. His attention to the customer and his constant search to improve and offer an ever superior service are palpable in every detail. This quality is evident and is reflected in the fact that the Sciró restaurant is in fact the most popular among those available at the resort.
In conclusion, the strengths of the Calanè Resort are the love and dedication that each member of the staff puts in day after day to make the experience of guests who need to unplug from the hectic life of our times special. For families with children looking for a carefree holiday characterized by quality human relationships, I can only highly recommend this resort and the Bluserena group in general.
Thanks again to all the staff who made our holiday a precious memory.

After a week at Valentino we were guests for 5 nights at Calanè and we noticed a few too many shadows.
Overall, the Bluserena organization is excellent, but there are some things that cannot be compromised on, especially if the cost of the room per night is quite high (over €400). It is not possible that at check-in the room will not be delivered with impeccable cleanliness (even if tidied up and prepared for the new guest), especially with regards to the baby's things (paid for). The bath tub was full of sand, the changing table had encrusted stains but all it took was a wipe with a soaked cloth. There was sand on the bed and there was hair and a used cotton swab in the bathroom. I reported the situation to the cleaning ladies twice and then, since I hadn't resolved it, also to the reception who made sure the room was cleaned again. Problem solved, but then we were on the fence for the whole holiday. Even on the first day at the restaurant there were some cleaning problems but then the maître did his utmost to ensure that it never happened again.
The catering is not as high level as that of Valentino: sometimes we ate very well, other times less, but it's a matter of personal taste. The experience of the il Gusto restaurant was beautiful, even if it was a bit too rushed to have dinner.
The beach is very beautiful (cleanliness should be improved here too) and the shuttle service works well. The staff is always smiling and kind and goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
The entertainment deserves a mention: unlike the Valentino, here there are fewer entertainers and, therefore, they go out of their way to keep the entertainment going from the early hours of the morning until late at night. Dario is an entertainment champion, his shows are truly beautiful. Ciro and Andrea are incredible and do everything to entertain the guests, they never stop. Another guy who struck me with his kindness was Matteo, the five-a-side football instructor, it was a pleasure to have been able to talk to him on the last day.
In general it is an experience that can be improved also by virtue of the price paid.

I'm returning from Calanè. I'd like to point out that I've already been a bluserena customer for two years but this year was a big disappointment! Starting from the fact that to go to the beach it takes 22 minutes to go and 22 minutes to return (timed) with a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes! On the beach to go to the bar you have to walk all the way to the beach! On the beach 0 animation while in the village they were super perhaps only thanks to them we didn't abandon it! Room cleaning was decent. The first two days they also served shower gel, the remaining 8 days they didn't even after asking whoever takes care of the cleaning! Are we talking about safety? 0 all the emergency exits occupied by tables and chairs that if anything you should escape you can't because the emergency exits are all occupied and I'll attach all the photos later! Including the stairs there are tables in front of the stairs! Decent cuisine, the other bluserenas are very different! The only positive note Samarcanda animation from Dario to all the boys is the serene top! The rest a huge disappointment a two star rating! Kind regards Caiazzo

We stayed with our little one (4 years old) from 6 to 20 August. Every family village has some positive points and some less so.
Among the positive aspects, I start from the animation: the manager Dario manages a team of budding artists in a professional and non-invasive manner. Simone, Matteo, Ciro, Giorgia, Andrea, Nicola, Lua and the other staff members accompany the holiday with grace and competence in managing the children's time, always immersed in different activities during the day and protagonists in the evening during the shows (all creative, original, engaging). Animation is the distinctive feature, the medal on the chest of the entire village.
The cuisine is also certainly positive: the entire staff of the central restaurant and the other structures is courteous and available for every type of need and breakfast, lunch and dinner have always satisfied in terms of variety and quality. Really good, from the Maitre to the many staff (Sabino and Pio Francesco also very nice, as well as efficient).
Among the less positive aspects, the distance from the sea. Approximately 10 minutes of transport to get there and a further 10 minutes to get back are not comfortable if you want to relax and the holiday times risk being affected (for example, you have to fit in timetables for restaurants). If you miss a train (all very nice) everything becomes excessively long between waiting for the next one and the transport time.
Beautiful, clean, transparent sea but the jellyfish ruined our "baths" every day (I was forced to monitor the sea, net in hand, to avoid unpleasant surprises).
Another not positive aspect is the rooms. Not of the new generation, we found the shower telephone broken (but immediately replaced when reported) and a sofa bed which apparently seemed dated. Also in this case, the staff was quick to respond to the request for replacement. Other guests probably also complained about it, so much so that at a certain point a company arrived and installed new sofa beds in many rooms, replacing the dated ones.
Cleaners friendly, kind, helpful.
Returning to the positive aspects, it is impossible not to mention the swimming pool: salt water, impeccable cleanliness, perfect for children and adults. The only drawback: if you arrive in the afternoon after a certain time (relatively early, even 3.30pm), you will no longer find a single sunbed available.
Ultimately, 4 stars (5 if the rating was focused exclusively on all the staff, from the entertainment to the restaurant).
Main reason, the logistics of the structure and the lack of modernity of the assigned room. I think 5 stars can be assigned when you reach perfection.

I think it is time for a change, Bluserena no longer meets the promised standards, low quality of services and every year difficulties and inconveniences that are made to fall back as well as pay to guest patients. At calane' / valentino Resort in addition to the shuttle discomfort we have added work on the village + sea route resulting in doubling the time 2 hours a day of travel is excessive, great discomfort not to mention the personal initiative of the drivers of the same shuttles. More respect for loyal customers, no consideration even treated worse. Catering in sharp decline low quality food and poor processing. In the room I have the electric lock malfunctioning replaced then in insisting by normal key, the toilet drain repaired on the third day. I would say that after several years of Bluserena it's time to change

It was a huge surprise for us who entered the Blue Serena world for the first year. We have made more villages also finding ourselves well but never so completely as this year. With a negligible difference in price we found a considerable increase in quality, starting from the cleanliness of the rooms and the structure to continue with the quality and variety of food really excellent and something that seems obvious but never is... the availability and friendliness of the staff are disarming... I did not find a single employee, from the gardener to the receptionist, from the bartender to the cook who did not have that smile printed on his face and always ready to meet your needs trying to satisfy your every request... really we are speechless .. Moreover, the Calanè being a relatively smaller structure than the other adjacent ones has given us the opportunity to relax more with small children and to be able to interact more assiduously with all the guests and especially with the entertainment staff... and here stop the clocks... competence, passion, love for the work they do... these guys have been really SPECIAL... I would say that they are the spearhead of the structure... they fill your days with games, dances, laughter and shows that go hand in hand with the best theater companies... each of them is good at something different... I could mention them all but this space would not be enough because there are also many... and therefore a special thanks goes to Sergio Trullo who with his decades of expertise has been able to compose a winning team... a thanks goes to Lua, Giorgia, Alice, Simone etc. .. etc. . . that have made us and our children have fun... and finally a special greeting goes to the little Grande Ciro Varavallo who is a unique character... he has made us have a lot of fun with his dances and his jokes... really the icing on the cake and to be honest next year I will definitely choose Blu Serena and the structure will be where he will work...
Thanks to the next holiday

We spent a pleasant week but compared to the other Bluserenas where we have been in recent years, this one has many things to review! Let's start with the baby bottle shop: unempathetic staff, when you arrive they don't give you any explanation but as soon as you do something wrong they call you back as if you should know everything regardless. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired, the workers clean the tables, stoves and shelves with the same rag with which they dry cutlery and plates (absurd that at least the plates and cutlery don't go in the dishwasher). Everyone has access to fresh food and several times I found uncovered bowls and cutlery "drowned" in broth and legume smoothies. In all the Bluserenas I have been to, only the staff put their hands in and in my opinion it is much more hygienic. The entertainment is quite nice but they scream a lot and the shows are boring, only two evenings in which Dario was there I had fun otherwise I always left the theater before it ended (never happened in the other Bluserenas). The swimming pool is very beautiful but the fact that you enter without headphones left me shocked. The placemats on the tables in the restaurant definitely need to be looked at again, I'm pleased with the environment but the way they are cleaned really leaves their mark, a valid alternative should be found. The beautiful sea, perfect shuttle service because it runs frequently, the only thing is the beach which really has nothing, all the services are at Valentino. It was explained to me that it is for turtles so it doesn't matter, it's fine... The rooms are clean and the character is very courteous.... in general it has great potential.....

we stayed in the week of mid-August and I must say that the choice was very satisfactory, in fact, given that I have been a Bluserena customer for over 15 years, I had some doubts about the modestly sized structure compared to the other resorts but instead I had to change my mind and I must say which is the best resort to spend the mid-August holiday since "the barbarians" who normally stay that week are not there at Calané.
Even though it is small, the village is at its best everywhere and you really feel comfortable there, the rooms are spacious and all concentrated around the services; The sea can be reached with the very frequent shuttles that take you on a pleasant walk in the nature of the nature reserve. Unfortunately this year there was no entertainment on the beach and water sports but only for local administrative reasons (municipality or region) which I hope bluserena will resolve soon.
Everyone on the staff at the resort really worked hard, starting with the director (Romina) who was present everywhere taking care of the well-being of the guests; at the pool bar the staff were very kind and friendly and worked hard; the catering was good ... from the chef to the pizza chef to the dining room staff who were always friendly and available for every request and the Chef and the Maitre who were constantly around to make sure that everything happened impeccably; Note of merit, due to the new generation of 3.0 animation, guided admirably by the legendary Dario and his deputy Andrea with his great genius, however they were all very good and nice so their names should be listed even if for their particular sympathy and their way of relating to the guests I remember with pleasure Giordana (with an exceptional voice) and Andrea tennis who offered himself very well both as an instructor and as an entertainer, but I repeat my recognition to everyone for their skill and professionalism, all guys who put in the soul to make you experience an unforgettable holiday. final opinion TOP .... recommended
