The Superior four-star Hotel is a romantic villa "fin de siecle" made up of 49 rooms, whose restoration is constantly in balance between the respect for the past and the influence of contemporary style.A unique and authentic place made of beautiful old trees and surrounded by green surfaces, that admires the spectacular Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. On one hand, the common areas, characterized by an unmistakable style and a wonderful elegance, which completely respect the important classical style of the structure; on the other hand, the rooms, a continuous alternation of contemporary and classical Design.A Hotel, on its own, marked by a deeply individual style where the care for details, quality and hospitality represents the common denominator. The ceramics of Amalfi Coast hand-painted with an exclusive design, the antique furniture and tapestries characterize the lobby, the bar and the restaurant situated on the ground floor of the hotel; so quiet places, that make possible living in a private and protected dimension... Where each detail becomes a pleasure to be relished. The huge glass windows in Liberty Style divide the building from the secular park: an explosion of flowers and colours, a wide open-air sitting-room completely equipped with chaise-longue, easy-chairs and gazebos; an unforgettable atmosphere beyond every expectation.Around the park full of flowers, the outside Fitness Corner represents an opportunity to keep oneself fit in an uncontaminated and healthy environment; the wellness swimming-pool with geysers, the sun beds, the large solarium represent an occasion of certain and pleasant relax. From here just a step to get to the Pool Bar for an aperitif, and another for sipping a vintage wine at the outside restaurant Il Gazebo & Le Terrazze in the middle of the citrus grove. Here the Chef suggests a refined, precious Mediterranean and International cuisine, a perfect balance among tastes, smells and colours.Excellent services like a Mercedes shuttle bus to the city centre or the close beaches, the free parking, the opportunity to rent a yacht or book private excursions and much more... Will make your stay unforgettable.

Hotel's Favorite
I'm a senior executive in my mid 50s and travel a LOT. That means I have the opportunity to stay in some of the nicest hotels in the world and often arriving by company private plane. I say this to give some points of comparison when i say that this hotel provided one of the nices holiday vacation experiences we've ever had as a family. The customer service, food and hotel grounds were superb. we stayed in 2019, before the Pandemic but the memory has stayed fresh. Frankly I've waited to do this review as I wanted to do it 'well'. We were there in June and our arrival would coincide with my wife's birthday. Knowing that I wanted some flowers for her, I contacted the hotel to see if they could provide flowers. They immediately responded with some recommendations of local companies and given my poor Italian, they offered to negotiate and arrange for something beautful. When given the price, I was somewhat hesitant (as it seemed low) but they assured me that it would be lovely. You can see that it WAS a wonderful bouquet. We very much enjoyed the grounds (at some point it must have been an ancient citrus orchard) and the great food. After our first meal, we decided to take the majority of our meals at the hotels (in hindsight, I wish we had dined there more) At short notice we decided to hire a guide and hike to the high mountains behind the hotel. Having no time to arrange for food, I asked whether they might have packed lunches available. They did not have any 'menu' but immediately offered to have 'something' put together for us for the morning at breakfast. Breakfast arrived and we were presented with BEAUTIFUL boxed lunches of sandwiches, chips, snacks and bottles of water. They even were thoughtful enough to provide a box for the guide! As a third and final example of this hotels efforts to go above and beyond, the catering manager approached me and asked to confirm my wife's actual birthday and whether I would mind if he brought a little 'cake' out when we dined that evening.....Sure!! I was expecting a cupcake and a candle and instead we were presented with a most amazing confection; handmade in the kitchen with ingredients and dessert pieces my wife had expressed a preference for to the wait staff on previous evenings. My wife was in LOVE :-) I am very hesitant to recommend ANY hotel, or it's staff but in this case........ This isn't a hotel with staff. This felt like an exquisite HOME and time spent with FAMILY Go enjoy it!!!

Beautiful hotel & grounds, with exceptional staff who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is both enjoyable and memorable. Slightly further from Sorrento than expected but only a 25 train journey at a cost of €4 return so very doable and worth the distance to stay at such a pleasant hotel. I would highly recommend booking this hotel it doesn’t disappoint.

What an outstanding hotel! All the staff treated us with kindness and respect. It is a luxury hotel in every sense of the word. With beautiful gardens, facilities and attentive staff. The dining room staff were always helpful and friendly with an attention to detail that was second to none. It was the little unexpected extras that made us smile. The hotels in Rome could learn many lessons from La Medusa Hotel.

My favourite hotel in Italy - perfect combination of wonderful staff, outstanding views of Vesuvius and the bay of Naples, comfortable and beautiful rooms, and delicious food. We come here every year with a group and it is the perfect peaceful haven with the orange garden to walk through and breakfast overlooking Vesuvius. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. All the rooms, with or without a sea view are equally characterful and comfortable.

We recently stayed with friends. Rooms are spacious and grounds are lovely. Cocktails in lounge and service were wonderful. Gennaro and his team made our dinner and breakfast most enjoyable. Breakfast selection was great. We would highly recommend this property.

This must be one of the most stunning hotels anywhere. The public areas on the ground floor are beautiful the terrace restaurant with its starlite roof and the amazing gardens with the floodlit statues and the flaming torches and candles is just a dream. The garden bar is stylish and classy, just the best. There are issues though. Some parts of the rooms lack a bit of TLC though all the staff, without exception, front of house, housekeeping etc are great. The big disappointment of our stay, September 2019 (pre pandemic) was the food which was frankly poor, though the service and surroundings were perfect, hopefully they have this right now. The other downside is the local town is completely without merit, an unattractive industrial centre whose reason for existence has expired. No joys there then. All that said, and ignoring the barking driving habits of the locals which are very stressful but nothing to do with the hotel, I'd happily go back, just a pity it's not in the centre or outskirts of somewhere a bit more attractive. Great for Pompeii, Herculaneum, The Amalfi coast and a day trip to Naples though.
