pros: - beautiful tile floor - good wifi - lovely balcony, but ugly view - nice lobby - nice pool cons: - 3/4 beds in the room looked like they hadn’t been cleaned, just made. there was a clump of hair in my bed and the staff had an attitude when we asked them to change the sheets -our toilet was broken; it sprayed water for feet out of the top whenever it was flushed, and i opted to stay in the room while the handyman fixed it. he was upset that he had to work on it and kept speaking to me in italian when i repeatedly told him i didn’t speak the language. left with a huge attitude. - gunshots in the near distance led to an unsafe feel, although this was not the fault of the hotel itself - apathetic staff - rock solid bed - unenclosed shower that basically flooded the bathroom - dingy, ripped towels - THIN outward facing walls …
Staff unfriendly. Located approx 1km up a steep hill. Rooms old and tired. Showers poor i.e poor pressure, leaking doors resulting in wet floors. Air con did not work in 1 room. Cleanliness poor, fridge unusable and infestation of ants.
The hotel grounds are very nice. The lobby, furniture, and courtyard are beautiful and well appointed. I will try to be as fair as possible. I was traveling with a group. Continental breakfast, nothing hot to eat. No fruit. There were meats and cheeses. They put my roommate and I in a room with a double bed. We went back to the front desk and they fixed it by giving me my own room at no extra cost which was nice. The bathroom had pubic hairs all over the place and it appeared grimy. Another traveler's bathroom was the same. The toilet ran for hours until someone came to fix it (no big deal). A friend's room had towels on the floor upon arrival as if the room hadn't been cleaned. We stayed the night. I've stayed in quite a few European hotels....the bed was so uncomfortable...I felt a spring in my side the whole night. After a day of site seeing we all returned back to the hotel to find my room door was open! Also....another traveler's door was WIDE open! It seemed as if the cleaning crew just disregarded the fact that they had to close the doors behind them!! Anyone could have walked into our rooms and taken items! Which they did! One traveler had $60 U.S. dollars taken from his suitcase and another had a shirt stolen - which was weird. There were no room safes. The staff disposition seemed to change. They became quite unfriendly. We decided to cut our stay short and left this dump one day early. Sorry, but it is a dump. Dirty.…
Came to this location because of it's free car park, the road it's very narrow but somehow reachable. The hotel has a decent decor, the hall looks lovely, the room was average however the mattress was pretty good which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel also had a little swimming pool outside, which is not really isolated as the buildings in front can look at the people sunbathing but it was nice to have it. I stayed here for one night only, it was a pleasant stay, decent breakfast and fair price.
Since we booked this the same day we arrived it was a pleasant surprise. The hotel and rooms were clean and our room was quite large with a small fridge. The only down side to our room was that we both don't like heights and were on the 4th floor with open railings. The bonus was the solarium a floor up with magnificent views of Mount Vesuvius. Lots of barking dogs!!! Food was basic but the waiters were friendly and we were able to communicate our needs. The pool was lovely but we only got to go in it once (the first day) as the second if was full of American teenagers, the third day they drained it and by our last night it still hadn't been filled up which was bad since we had 30 degree heat. The doberman that sat in reception most of the time was adorable. Considering we were severely let down over our accommodation in Naples this was a decent second choice. Wifi was hit and miss. You'll need a car unless you want to eat in the hotel every night. I believe there are bus stops not far away that will take you into Sorrento.…
I was visiting Italy on a school trip with 96 students and teachers and we stayed here for two nights. The hotel is reached from a car park across a narrow, but still two-way, road - be careful crossing because drivers in Italy seem to be crazy! The hotel is nicely appointed and considering how numerous our party was, the staff coped well. Our school is in France and some of the staff spoke French and English too. The rooms were fairly spartan, but our room had a balcony. Admittedly, it mainly looked out over the car park but in the distance trees and mountains could be seen. The food we had was good, but on a fixed budget so not very varied or adventurous. The outdoor pool was broken when we visited, probably luckily considering our lot.
Sure- it is only 3 stars hotel and you can't expect amazing things- but it is not very bad- everywhere is clear, people who work here are nice, sure- bathrooms could be better !!! If you have a short trip- It will be very comfortable to stay here 🙂
My girlfriend and I went down to Southern Italy for a week-end. We booked a room here because of the position and of the price and truly it turned out to be an amazing choice. We were in the middle of the most turistic place (Amalfi,Positano,Pompei,Napoli) so in 3 day we had the opportunity to visit it all. We found the room perfectly clean and in order, we were on the last floor so the view on the Vesuvio was simply AMAZING. The staff at the reception welcomed us in a great way and honestly helped us to plan our holiday... The wifi is completely free as well as the parking, that is really big, and has two entrance the pool is not so big but there are some lemon trees that surround it that make it really colorful and smelling. There is also a huge garden in perfect mediterranean style.... The roof top is a must!!!! We spent two night enjoying a bottle of red wine (the price was really cheap at the hotel) on it and absolutely we had one of the best views of the coast. (sometime they close the terrace, but ask to reception, they'll open it for you) Our experience in this hotel was so lovely at the point that we booked 3 night for the new years celebration... I can't wait! Absolutely recommended…
It is not luxury hotel or something like that... But rooms are ok. And dinner is ok...but every day melon for dessert?! Any changes. And pasta was overcooked. And service in restaurant wasn't good...they want money for drink during eating our dinner...it is not so kind! Breakfast is good...but don't wait something luxury like eggs or fruits...or something like that.
We needed a place to stay last-minute, and checked in very late. The staff didn't speak much English, but they did order us delivery pizza to the room as it was so late, and we were so tired. Great service! The rooms are ok, a bit old-style, but fine for one night. We had a great view of Mt. Vesuv. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from, but sufficient. There is a Little bit of a walk into town, and free parking on the outside.
