We visited Cassino to tour the battlefield areas and Abbey. We found Hotel La Pace perfect for this purpose. We had a beautiful room (number 40) with balcony and view of Monte Cassino. Breakfast was fine with American coffee and typical buffet. The hotel was helpful in finding a local restaurant which had been recommended to us (civico sociale) and... More

Greeted by friendly helpful staff. Room was lovely. We had a room at the front with a lovely view of Montecassino. The windows opened fully so we could sit on the balcony and take in the view. There was no noise heard from other guests in their rooms or in the corridor. There is another door that seperates the room... More

This hotel is on the outskirt of Cassino but close enough to walk in ten minutes, The staff are really nice and friendly and go out of their way to help. Anybody interested in the war and artifacts then this is the place for you. They have walking tours direct from the hotel. The breakfast is nice. The rooms are... More

As a WW2 Historian, as soon as we walked through the door we knew this small boutique hotel was for us, as you are immediately greeted with it's history and artefacts and to top it all Pino the owner and his fantastic front of house staff. Nothing was too much trouble from booking the room, ordering drinks and breakfast as... More

We stayed here for two nights so we could take a trip to Monte Cassino. The hotel was very nice. All the staff were excellent and Pino was the perfect host and very knowledgeable about the history and the various walking trails. We took a taxi back to the station and even the driver said Mr Pino was the nicest... More

We ( 2 couples) stayed here for one night, Pino was amazing to us. We enjoyed a half day tour up to the monastery via Cavendish Road. This was well-guided by Pino and a very enjoyable trip for us as New Zealanders. Pino offered a good amount of insight into the fighting which took place, and the New Zealand and... More

Besides being clean and quite comfortable, this hotel boasts incomparable views of the abbey from down in the town. Room 41 had an excellent view! Plus the owner is charming and recommended a great restaurant (La Cucina) for dinner. We would stay here again if we return to this area.

We were passing through on our way to the South and stopped here for 2 nights as hubby is a history buff, especially WW2. We were so welcomed by Pino. The hotel is not at all fancy but is clean and quirky with all the WW2 paraphernalia in the lobby. It was a bit hot when we were there so... More

The family visited Monte Cassino for two reasons. The first was as part of a pilgrimage to visit the Benedictine Abbey at Monte Cassino founded by St. Benedict, The second was to be able to better appreciate the lay of the land during the battle for Monte Cassino in 1944 (WWII). The hotel served both purposes well, but even more... More

If you are interested in the WWII history of the area this is THE place to stay. They have their own parking lot in the back but there is usually ample space on the street in front of the hotel. They have wonderful artifacts on display in the lobby. The owner, Pino is probably the best reason to stay here.... More
