Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Room was small, but comfy and very warm. We had a balcony with a great view so that gave us a bit more space and also was a great drink's fridge ! The shower was also pretty small but lots of hot water no matter what time we used it. The food was generally good, but often could be a little cold, there is, however, a microwave to warm things up if needed. The staff were friendly and hard working. Easy to access slopes as bus stops very close to hotel, both directions take you to lifts. We preferred crossing the road and getting the bus to the Alba lift as it is a huge chairlift and was never too busy. Its 9 euros to buy a bus ticket for the week, you can buy at hotel reception. Although the bus drivers rarely ask to see your tickets, there were regularly bus inspectors on the bus that you had to show your ticket to. The walk from the boot room to the road was tricky as could be really slippy and is fairly steep. The skiing and snow was fantastic, its a huge ski area and luckily, unlike lots of other areas in Europe, there is loads of snow !…
We stayed here for our New Year skiing trip, the rooms were ok clean & tidy, the food was delicious and plentiful, the staff were excellent -always attentive & ready to help. Would definitely go back!
We’ve just returned from a super week staying in Villa Emma. We got a good deal with Crystal and found everything went very smoothly (especially in the current climate!) The hotel is in a great location, we walked our sons (8&6) to Centre of Canazei, which is lovely, several times with no issue. The bus stop right outside worked well when with ski stuff. The hotel is a solid 3 star, it was clean and very fairly priced for what it was, which is nicer than the pictures in our view. The staff were friendly and the bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed many happy evenings having a drink and playing games. Grace in particular was so lovely with our boys! The food was fine, a little repetitive maybe, but we were happy to eat there every day. They even prepared us a breakfast to take on the bus to the airport as our transfer was so early. We would definitely return to the hotel. It is a beautiful area with fantastic skiing! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome. The Wickham Family…
Stayed here in Jan 2019 for one week. Room was tiny with a double bed, which was not ideal when sharing with a friend. No balcony. Would have preferred twin beds. We made the mistake of looking under the bed, it was filthy with items left by previous residents, including a child's dummy. The bathroom was compact and shower cubicle tiny. The food was poor. Breakfast was adequate if you stuck to the cold stuff. Evening meals were pretty awful and luke warm. Out of 7 nights we only enjoyed the food on 2 nights and we are not fussy eaters! The ski boot room was not large enough for the number of residents. Our boots were removed from the heaters on several occasions, so still wet in the morning. Most frustrating. On a positive, the 2 main chaps running the hotel worked tirelessly and were excellent. The sauna and steam room were fantastic, not in keeping the the rest of the hotel. But the hot tub was cold and awaiting repair all week. Ski bus stop was just outside the hotel. However buses back from town were rather infrequent and we ended up walking or taking a taxi on a couple of occasions. Personally, I would rather pay more and be in the resort. We booked with Crystal, who were non existent in our hotel, didn't see the rep all week and no notice board. Instead we were told to download the app!!! We'd hired skis via Crystal but they provided no information where the shop was .......had to rely on staff at the hotel suggesting which shops it could be. Canazei was a nice resort, skiing was good, although avoid the Stella Ronda as it is like a motorway and so busy. But there are some nice areas to ski off from there.…
Stayed here for half term. Loved it all. Rooms were very small but really no bother. Food and service very good! Bus stop right outside the door going either way. Very easy and would highly recommend the hotel and the Sella Ronda.
We stayed in this little gem during Feb half term. Good location just across the road from the ski bus stop to Canazei or Alba (2 mins on bus) Food was really great with plenty to choose from whatever your taste. Rooms compact but had everything we needed. Our room was rather cold at times and the water in the shower too cold for my liking ....I love a hot shower after a busy day on the slopes. Staff were lovely and worked tirelessly to keep everyone happy. Breakfasts plentiful with both hot and cold food available. We loved the ski area and will most definitely return. Highly recommended!
Just returned from a week at the Villa Emma with family and friends. The previous comments on the room sizes are correct with our rooms being particularly small, however we could see other rooms were bigger than ours. If you can put the size of the rooms to the back of your mind, which we did quite quickly, this is a fabulous little hotel with fantastic helpful and friendly staff. There is plenty of good food every morning and night with a well stocked bar for adults and children. There really is a small time family feel to the hotel with guests meeting and mingling in the restaurant and bar and the very clean and tidy spa area. The ski buses are frequent and easy to use offering plenty of skiing options. The ski area is beautiful with a great selection of wide open reds which are well groomed and maintained and suitable for all abilities. For the price, this is one of the best ski holiday options we’ve taken for a long time. Will definitely consider going back! …
Just returned from a week skiing with the family and friends. Location - good - 7m walk to lift and town centre or 50 yards to bus stop Food - excellent, with plenty of variety Rooms - very small, but adequate Service - very friendly Overall, a very good value hotel.
We enjoyed our week at this hotel, we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff who were constantly working. The location is good with bus journeys taking only about 3 minutes from nearby stops running to Canazei and, in the other direction, Alba which became our group's preferred option. Our room was small, very small, it was tricky moving around the room having to squeeze between the beds and the wall, this however, wasn't a massive issue as we spent very little time in there. During the night it appeared the radiator was operating and we woke every morning feeling quite dry mouthed despite sleeping with the door to outside open, we had no control over the heating. The room was very clean, when walking along the corridor we could see into rooms being cleaned that ours was a lot smaller than others, this could be because we had booked last minute and were allocated the last available rooms. Mealtimes were a buffet arrangement with both hot and cold options for breakfast, evening meals offered a large selection of salad and several choices for main, all was delicious but by the end of the week was becoming a bit samey. The kit room downstairs with boot dryers was perhaps a little too small given the number of guests but this never seemed to be a problem. The use of the hot tub, sauna and steam room at the end of the day was most welcome, there was no charge despite being told there was, we were asked to request it's use for a 30 minute period.…
Travelled here in 2018 with Crystal Holidays. A good priced holiday and the hotel was very well run by friendly and helpful staff. Location by ski bus stop was good and a reflection of the cheaper cost of the trip, compared to staying in Canazei itself. The staff at the hotel were great and joined in with the fun of our group. Gabriella and George (Management), Jack and Daniel (bar) and Maria (restaurant) are a well organised team. Thank you to them.
