Hotel in a sunny location enclosed to the Bishop gardens in the southern part of the old town of Bressanone ( about 300 meters to the center of Cathedral Square) . It was re-opened 2014 after a full renovation with a redesign of all rooms and the lobby, our highlight is the new winter garden used as breakfast room and overlooking our mediterrain garden, which offers having cozy hours sitting on its terrace. The rooms are for the most part South or south-western (sunny and quiet ) , and offer a great view of the surrounding monasteries and gardens as well as the mountains surrounding the valley. Room amenities : 37-inch satellite TV + Free Wireless Internet, modern bathrooms. Rooms in the adjoining builduing are equipped with a balcony or terrace. Our popular Restaurant Traube is just a few minutes walk in the old town and provides our guests a discount of 10% drinks included. The room rate includes the Brixen Tourist Card which opens up free use of all public transport in South Tyrol as well as the Plose cable car and over 82 museums and the wellness center Aquarena located in Brixen.

Beautiful apartments with separate bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room on ground floor and great smaller "one room" apartments on first floor (we stayed last year too). Wonderfully decorated, very helpful and happy staff. The apartments are literally only a couple of minutes on foot from the centre of the town and it is so wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views of the mountains (Plose and co) - especially from the first floor. A place I would recommend again and again. Brixen/ Bressanone is a beautiful town in South Tirol.

A wonderful old building that oozes with charm. Even the small rooms are lovely with old classic paintings printed and hung in modern type frames giving a great modern/ classic mix. We stayed in an apartment as opposed to the hotel but the experience at check in and for any questions was always super friendly. The hotel itself is situated literally around the corner from the historic city centre and the river so it couldn't be better placed. We have already booked again for next year. The restaurant in the town which is owned or "belongs" to the hotel is also excellent in its service and selection. Parking can be "interesting" in the courtyard area but the selected places allow all to move relatively freely. Just don't turn up with a bus sized car, there is a reason Italians build wonderful small cars :-)

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Traube apartments. The quality of the rooms and furnishings were excellent. One of our friends had a birthday and they supplied a small present . They were very courteous and gave us some complimentary tea and coffee in the afternoon. The town of Bressanone is ideal if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday, and the town itself was very interesting to walk around. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend it.

We arrived knowing very little of the Bressanone area. Upon arrival at the Hotel Traube, whom also provide studio apartments at Residence Traube, we were warmly greeted in the lobby. We were immediately checked in and given an overview of the area. With our reservation we were given a BrixenCard, which allowed us free travel with the local transportation and included our ability to take the Plose gondola to the top of the ski area which has an attached restaurant and bar. It was so beautiful with views of both the Dolemites and the Alps! It was absolutely gorgeous and a must do whether you ski or not. We do not and that didn’t matter. The studio apartments very near the hotel were located in an old monastery. They were spacious, modern, elegant and quiet. The shower had good water pressure, and the little kitchen was well equipped for those wanting a longer stay. The WiFi also had a strong connection. As we arrived by train, the public transportation is easy to navigate and made seeing everything so much easier. The staff were helpful, prompt and kind. We really appreciate that we found this little gem on the outskirts of the old town and recommend this reasonably priced and beautiful stay.

I went to Brixen for a business trip. I contacted the hotel online to ask for info and they proposed me a very convenient 5-day package: I paid 95 euros a night for the double room (single use) with private bathroom and patio, including breakfast, snacks in the afternoon, bike use and Brixen card. It was just perfect: the room is wide and clean, the staff is very nice and the breakfast is delicious (especially speck). With the Brixen card they gave me, I enjoyed very much the city (especially the swimming pool).

Booked 3 nights in a Superior Double Room, incl breakfast using the hotels website. We had stayed here before and liked the feel of this hotel and its relatively good location for the rail station and quiet area. Arriving at the rail station, Its a downhill walk on a well maintained pathway, so the bag drag is good. It takes about 10 minutes. A very informative check in, with our Brixen cards being given. Also explained about free afternoon tea and pastries each day held in the breakfast room. The hotel also have an arrangement with their restaurant where a discount of 10% is given. There is a garden area with chairs to sit and enjoy the sunshine and a nice lounge area downstairs. We were allocated Room 7 on the 2nd floor. Its a corner room so there are windows in 2 directions with nice views of the mountains. There is a bed and couch and table and 2 chairs. A tv and the free wifi works well. There is a courtesy tray for coffee and tea. The beds are comfortable and the area is quiet, so we slept well. The ensuite has a walk in shower and a drying rack. It also has an openable window. Breakfast is held downstairs. Juice, yogurts fresh fruit, pastries, breads cheeses and cold meats and jams. Boiled eggs available. Coffee is made for you All staff we encountered engaged and were helpful. Reception had booked us a table at their restaurant Traubenwirt, about 5 minutes away. The ambience, food, wines and staff were excellent. We used our Brixen card to get to Chiusa/Klausen for a day trip. We enjoyed our time here again and recommend staying here for a small hotel feel.

This is a cozy and comfortable lodging in a convenient Brixen location, about halfway (easy walking distance) between the train station and the historic center. It is very quiet, has lovely grounds, and provides a good breakfast and afternoon tea. With the included Brixencard, you can explore the area by train and bus without having to pay. My own excursions ranged from the Dolomites to Meran. A discount is provided to their restaurant in the historic center. It is one of the best in the town

We were given a junior suite instead, which we were told would be an upgrade. The suite is next to the road and we can hear people walking and traffic noise in the early hours. The room with balcony has a view to the courtyard and mountains away from the road. We felt let down and the reception was not apologetic about this. It was take it or leave it attitude.

Dear Mrs. Felicity K, thank you for your review. You booked a double room with balcony (22 m3) for just one night and we made you an upgrade in a Juniorsuite (40 m3). You hade right, the Juniorsuite has no balcony but you arrive in the late afternoon and have leave in the morning...we trough you prefer have more place than a balcony, we're sorry! The view from both rooms is fast the same, more view on the mountains is for sure from the Juniorsuite. Our hotel is located in a quite zone of Bressanone close to 2 churches...the traffic is very limited during the morning from 9 am because before the road in front of the hotel is closed for children’s entrance to the near school. Our hotel in in an historic house with very thick walls, it's really hard hear people walking on the street. During the checkout, you inform our reception of your disappointment and the secretary was apologetic about it. We really hope to be able welcome you again in the next future and we wish you a great summer Best regards Family Weissensteiner & Traube team

We stayed in the annex which used to be an old monastery a few metres from the main hotel. Location is excellent, right at the beginning of the old town. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was very good as well.
