I am won over by a genuinely friendly welcome and smiles all round the hotel that shows that the staff are reasonably content and that (therefore, presumably) the management are reasonable. So whilst it is true ( I see from other reviews ) that the decor is "tired" and carpets worn, this just seems like charm to me when the human element is right. The building generally had a nice old feel to it. It was clean, reasonably priced, with a warm family-run feel and with a big varied breakfast included. Just what I needed after a whole day travelling from Milan then stranded in Bardonecchia by a late running train. The hotel is 2 minutes on foot, just round the corner from the train station. Incidentally , on arrival, late in Bardonecchia, the bar opposite the train station gruffly told me that there was "nothing" : no beds, no taxis, basically **** off and sleep in the station. So I wouldn't frequent that place (ever). Fortunately, I had smartphone coverage and booking.com which showed that there are a choice of places.

Very shabby and impersonal. Definitely not three star hotel. Worn, grubby carpets throughout. Restaurant not worth the money. Owner likes to grossly overcharge. My advice would be to avoid if possible.

We booked 4 rooms. Unfortunately all were below any standards. Rooms were really cold, carpets dirty with holes and fuses of rooms went off when electric heaters, supplied by hotel were used. Breakfast was very basic.

Staff are lovely and attentive. Breakfast was good and plenty available typical Italian breakfast. Rooms are clean basic but ideal for what we needed. Definitely value for money. Decor is tried and showers are slightly small. But nothing that would spoil your visit.

The hotel was a much cheaper option than others for our short-notice stay. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, plus the breakfast was solid. The rooms were a bit bare - one electrical outlet in the room and one in the bathroom. Shower was tiny (which is normally ok, but it's a little tougher due to the curtain instead of doors), floors were very creaky, which was kinda funny. Bed was pretty comfortable. Wi-fi didn't really reach our room.
