If I could give them 10 stars I would! it is one of those places that you want to keep for yourself but also want the whole world to know about it! This hotel is stunning! And the staff is very attentive! Attention to detail is incredible and we cannot wait to visit again. We had two nights the tasting menu at the restaurant and it was incredible!

We climbed up into the hills above Arezzo with great expectations and we were not disappointed. The hotel provides a stunning location up above Arezzo. We stayed in the one of there junior suites which was extremely comfortable and very spacious. The staff could not do enough to help you and the one slight hiccup we encountered was quickly dealt with by the excellent staff. If you are looking for a quiet luxury hotel away from the madding crowed but near enough to explore Tuscany then this is the place.

Badia di Pomaio is a very special place. Peaceful, elegant, highly professional and also very welcoming. This is most definitely down to the staff - each and every one of them were wonderful. From arranging yoga for us in the beautiful gardens to chasing a package and dealing with Customs for me - truly nothing was too much trouble. Elena, Davide, Mario, Gianluca, Nadia and Francesca thank you all. And by the way the food is exceptional too - definitely would visit again.

My wife and I spent the first 5 days of our Italian honeymoon at Badia di Pomaio, and we couldn't have been more thankful that we did. This 14-room beautifully renovated monastery perfectly combines serenity, luxury, service and indulgence between the grounds, rooms, staff, and food. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Davide in the parking lot to help with our bags, to the welcome drink from Mario, and the prompt check-in and tour from Francesca, we knew we were starting our honeymoon in a special place. Our room even had a personal note and welcome treat marking the occasion! We stayed in a "Superior Room with View" and would definitely choose this again. The rooms are beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Having the windows open and letting the tuscan air fill the room is an experience itself! Nadia was sure to take care of us every morning for breakfast - even when we overslept and missed the service, she made sure to keep some pastries, jam and espresso ready for us. Gianluca mixed us great drinks, and the service from everyone was attentive and thoughtful. Mario ran perfect dinner services and we had the opportunity to try basically everything on the menu. Everything was 5-star. To cap off an already amazing experience, after leaving the hotel to head to our next destination, my wife and I realized we left our passports in the room safe. Within an hour, Davide made sure to find and secure them, and shipped them expedited to our hotel in Amalfi. We will definitely be back to Badia di Pomaio.

I’m torn, I want to rave about how amazing Badia is, but I don’t want anyone else to discover my slice of heaven! If you’re looking for pool music and a lively hotel, this is NOT for you. And that’s the whole point. From the moment you arrive you are surrounded by nature and tranquility, with just the sound of birds, and views of rolling hills. Davide gave the warmest welcome and passionately showed us around this rustic hotel that’s been renovated to the highest spec but still in keeping with its history. The gardens are beautiful and the chef serves top food with local produce from their garden. The staff make this place what it is! Nadia, Franscesa, Mario, Gianaluca.. it’s a family feel where nothing is too much trouble. They provided impeccable service and always smile; the team helped us with taxis and made my husband feel very special on his bday. You know how you have the perfect moviesque picture in your head of how you imagine a stay in Tuscany to be but think it’ll never live up to this idyllic fantasy? This does. It’s exactly how I wanted it to be but thought couldn’t possibly exist.

It could have been such a fantastic stay: The location is stunning, the building is extremely well renovated, the service is outstanding and the food is top notch. However: Contrary to what is stated on the website, the hotel did accept children under 12 years. Two of them ruined everything by screaming from morning to night. Staying at the pool was unbearable. Management did not do anything about it for two days. By then we had already decided to leave early. What a pity!

We just finished a lovely 3 night stay at Badia di Pomaio. Let me tell you that it was a perfect getaway during our vacation. We had been tired from traveling and this retreat was so relaxing with beautiful views. It looks exactly like the photos. You can see the talisman valley below, and are about ten minutes away from Arezzo if you want to do some sightseeing. The staff is attentive and friendly, it is truly a 5 star experience.

This place is a heaven on earth. Elena and her team do everything to make you feel perfect. The food prepared by Daniel, a great chef, as well as the wine selection proposed by the restaurant manager, Mario, are simply amazing. Nadia will not only provide the best breakfast service you can expect but as well recommend nice places to visit in the area. We will come back!

Everything about Badia di Pomaio is exceptional - from the grounds and our room to the food and the attention to detail. But perhaps the best thing about our stay was the staff - in particular, Mario and Nadia, who were so incredibly kind, attentive and warm (Mario always recommended fantastic wine!). The front desk staff were also phenomenal. They planned and arranged for a car, a scenic lunch in nearby Pienza and a winery visit for my partner's birthday. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. We spent a week at the property and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. The wine, cocktail and food offerings are quite robust (and delicious) and there was more than enough to do on-site to keep you occupied. The grounds, stunning and tranquil, are perched up above Arezzo just far enough to provide absolute peace and quiet without feeling too rural. This afforded us the luxury of popping down to 'town' for a meal, and similarly, we were within quite close proximity of other tourist destinations (Siena, Montepulciano, Cortona) for day trips. Our stay made for the perfect honeymoon. We can't recommend it highly enough.
