Hotel Cristallo is a newly renovated hotel conveniently located next to Baradello chair lift.
It is bright, tastefully furnished, it has a very modern ski room and you can literally walk to the slopes in 3 minutes.
The restaurant serves local food and the quality is excellent.
The spa is also very nice and the best thing is you can reserve it for 50 minutes. I totally recommend the Pindasweda massage with hot mountain herbs pads. The lady at the spa centre is great!
The real plus of this hotel is the Staff, from the Hotel Manager Carmen, to the Maitre and the restaurant staff and also people at reception, they are all very kind and attentive. They have really made a difference to my holiday with my young child.
There is also a Miniclub activity and evening entertainment which are both valuable and professional.
I totally recommend Hotel Cristallo for a stay in Aprica!

My family and I stayed at the Hotel San Jean in Aprica from 27 to 31 August. The hotel structure is in excellent condition, you can see that it has recently been renovated. We had a room on the top floor and in our room there was a small second floor for the kids.
I would give 4 stars to the hotel structure, the restaurant staff, I must say that the food is very tasty, the staff is very kind, attentive and responds quickly to requests. We didn't have to wait long for our meals.
I would give 4 stars to the women who cleaned the rooms! The rooms are very clean, they are really smart!
Furthermore, the Spa guy is also very kind and attentive.
But unfortunately I have to say that there is a huge BUT!!! Children are absolutely not welcome in this hotel! Children, as we understood, are not loved, they prefer a group of older people.
There are 2 entertainers, a children's room open from 9-12, 16-18, and in the evening 13 minutes of baby dance!!! Then the room closes and parents and children are escorted out of there!
We had a really embarrassing moment! After another baby dance, we and our friends with children went to the lounge to play cards. Our girls are 6 and 7 years old and 6 and 10 years old. They sat for an hour playing cards with absolute calm, we were also at the other table (parents), when the musician finished playing the piano and singing (he played for 2 hours), our children wanted to play hide and seek. The people in the room had almost dispersed. They started playing and shouting a couple of times, whereupon, unexpectedly for us, the musician, a middle-aged man, started shouting at our children (our parents were also very scared), that the hotel lobby it is not a playground, and that parents should keep their children under supervision.children!!! And when my friend tried to talk to him calmly, he yelled at her and almost sent her away very rudely! Someone in the audience, among the elderly, was not surprised that an adult stranger was shouting at children, but rather supported him, that he did the right thing, that he shouted!
The next morning, the receptionist was not surprised by this behavior and rather started justifying him for such behavior!
Although in the end he asked us for forgiveness for him, saying that the management would contact us and everything! As a result, no one contacted us and the musician did not ask for forgiveness for his behavior!
The bottom line is that anyone over 60 will be happy to relax in this hotel, anyone who has children of any age, I don't recommend it at all!!!
P.S. children can only use the swimming pool outside!!!

Hotel located in a strategic point, elegant and valuable, excellent food, I thank Elena for welcoming us as if we were family, but otherwise I found a cold staff, formalities for a 4 star yes but the welcome should be reviewed. Brand new rooms recently renovated, 5 star cleaning super, for the attic you had to have an air conditioner to be able to manage not a centralized system. Definitely a classy hotel but not for families, absent mini club, closed room, families who after dinner were forced to leave in the room, Recommendation for Couples Trips especially for the new wellness center under construction.

As soon as we arrived we were treated with disdain by the receptionists. In the room we found the bed without a bedspread (only the mattress cover, among other things dirty with stains, I took photos). Having spoken to the manager, she tells us that their structure does not include a sheet inside the bed 😂😂😂 but they apologize for the unexpected event and coincidentally the next morning we find a clean bed complete with what we need (they even offered us to change rooms and give us a New Year's Eve dinner... obviously we didn't accept on principle). I understand that in high season it is cannon fodder but €700 for two nights in bed and breakfast (2 adults and a 6 year old girl) without respecting decency is not acceptable. We had chosen a 4 star structure so as not to have compromises, what a disappointment! To never again

It is the second year that we have spent a ski week at the Cristallo hotel (December 2022 and 2023) and we can confirm we are happy with our choice.
We were pleased to meet Maitre Vincenzo, Mrs. Manuela and Mrs. Carmen at the reception, Mrs. Elena in the dining room, pastry chef Laurenzio and the head entertainer Marco.
All the staff are kind and attentive, if something is not clear, missing or needs a change, simply ask.
I would like to say a special thank you
Maitre Vincenzo, a person of infinite courtesy and great intuition, is able to detect the real needs of a customer, offering a service that is as personalized as possible.
His concern, for a family like ours where we have two young children, really makes us feel as if we were at home.
The Mini club is well organised, the staff is qualified and knows how to involve children in creative, play and dance activities.
Thank you Giovanna and Andrea for helping my children in creating beautiful works in tempera and papier-mâché, as well as helping me on the bottom of the slope in pulling the sled!
A small suggestion would be to bring forward the afternoon opening and the evening baby dance by half an hour.
Excellent cleaning and furnishing of the rooms, with splendid Christmas decorations.
As regards the cuisine, the dishes are prepared with quality raw materials, the menu and presentation of the dishes are very good,
a suggestion would always be to have a less elaborate option for those with less refined palates.
The location is known to be excellent, on the slopes, and a short distance from the pharmacy and supermarket.
Heated swimming pool with spa and ski room.
Nothing is missing. We will definitely be back next year too.

We stayed in this facility with our 3 children (7 years, 4 years and 7 months) from 30 December to 6 January and we would recommend it to everyone for: the kindness of the staff, the friendliness of Giovanna and Andrea from the Mini Club who cheered up the our children after the mornings at the ski course and in the evening with the baby dance after dinner, the proximity to the ski facilities (Baradello is a few hundred meters away and when returning from skiing you can arrive at the facility by skiing, but also the school pitches are not far away), the goodness of the cuisine, the elegance of the hall, the evening entertainment with Marco which included a beautiful New Year's Eve dinner with dancing, a fun tombola, the visit of the Befana... the ski storage room with locker is also very convenient and the cleanliness of the room was really taken care of... what can I add? We will always remember this magnificent stay with pleasure!!

Overall no more than 3 stars, the structure is aesthetically 4 stars, the room quite clean and welcoming but very uncomfortable beds, I do not recommend half board as the restaurant is more like canteen food and half board does not include drinks, not even water, as if you ate without drinking, absurd especially how much they make you pay for it. I also made a very simple request, if it was possible to have a topper to make the mattress a little more comfortable but since they aren't barbers, they didn't know how to handle the need and I had the impression that they didn't care. I rate the reception staff 2 stars at the reception, terrible at explaining services, times, etc... and in the end even worse, they don't even ask you if everything went well. While the staff at the restaurant were nice and welcoming. Would I come back? Absolutely not because the price absolutely does not reflect the service.

Average hotel, accepts animals but for a fee. In fact, given the rate that I had NEVER happened to pay since I have a 2kg dog I would have expected to find at least one change of clean sheets in a 7 day stay. The little dog had soiled them, he paid, but I had nothing more than any other hotel where they accept animals for free.
The cuisine is not the best: I am used to the Val di Fassa where there is a varied choice of typical mountain foods such as sausage, mushrooms and more but often I had in this hotel the third option for the first which corresponded to pasta in bianco or sauce limiting the choice to two first courses and as for the second choice of fish such as moscardini or sea bream😟
They give priority to departures to clean the rooms so it happened both to me and to those traveling with me to find the room still in disarray when returning for lunch more than once.

Organized trip
Clean rooms, furnishings perhaps a bit dated, soundproofing to review
Mediocre dinner, obviously predetermined menu, a decidedly leathery pork saddle.
Unacceptable in a structure that boasts 4 stars and 'the failure to change the tablecloths in the dining room: we found in the morning the tablecloth of the night before, with the same stain.... and we understood why we had been asked to sit in the same seats as the evening
It may have been an organized trip (probably with different rates) but a service like this I had never found

We stayed with my family in this splendid hotel in the last week of December... The hotel is well maintained and very welcoming, and well structured both internally and externally... The services are top notch, very friendly and polite staff, a a special note goes to Mrs. Manuela at the reception who was very helpful and kind, she was able to solve every type of problem.... The strong point is the catering service with a very rich breakfast both sweet and savory, maitre Vincenzo was very helpful with our every need.. The lunches and dinners were the highlight: sublime dishes, 5 star, well presented and cooked very well, not to mention the New Year's Eve dinner!!!!! Truly 10-star dishes... congratulations to the chef... The entertainment is very nice and not intrusive... We will return next year
