Hotel Aurora is a pleasant hotel 3 stars in Aprica. The hotel's position is very near to the Palabione lift and this is very comfortable for all the people that chose Aprica for ski. The staff is very kind, Miss Raffaella the holder, is very delicious person really careful to the customer satisfaction. The room is pretty, however the hotel is a 3 stars with a really convenient prices but the my room and the bathroom were clean. Me and my girlfriend could appreciate the chef cooking that he served typical dinner from Valtellina: a gorgeous Pizzocheri (it is a typical pasta from Valtellina), Polenta taragna and different kind of homemade cakes. Ultimately I suggest this hotel to all the traveler that want spend a nice period on the snow in Italy.

At first we looked for ski resort not far from Bergamo airport and Aprica was our choice. There were enough pistes for 3 days ski break (6 km "Superpanoramica" was our favourite) . The hotel is close to main ski lift, ski rent shop is across the street. Hotel hosts were friendly, tasty freshly baked croissants were served every morning. And thanks to Mr. O'Leary for cheap Ryanair flights from Riga to Bergamo :)

We stayed at the Aurora as part of a group of families. There was just us in the hotel. Gaston and Bettina made us feel very welcome. They speak excellent English. The food was good and plentiful. The hotel was 5 mins walk from each of two ski lifts. The pistes are never crowded in Aprica, there was always a friend to wave to on the lifts. Best of all the hopitality of the hoteliers was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The bar was always well stocked and reasonably priced (actually that goes for the whole resort including up the hill) and open when needed.

The hotel has recently been taken over by a couple who lived in Argentina and Hong Kong. They both speak English amongst other European languages. The friendliness of the couple, and going beyond what is expected of hotel hosts. I stayed as a school group and we had a separate area for the school children. However, there is a restaurant separated from the main diningroom. The rooms are comfortable, with new beds and the rooms are cleaned daily and done very well. The hotel is within walking distance from the ski slopes and town centre. A fantastic stay was had by my school group.
