We stayed in February with our family of five and have a wonderful holiday. The food was superb, and the hospitality and service outstanding. The location of the hotel at the foot of the nursery slopes made it an ideal holiday for our 3 children to learn how to ski. We are all set to return next year and highly recommend the hotel
Long story short our camper van broke down on the Italian Alps and this hotel was where we had to stay while waiting for it to be fixed. It’s a family run hotel and has been for 50 years. The building is beautifully furnished and in good condition. The ladies in charge although not speaking English were very friendly and helpful, and it was a joy to stay there.
Lovely location and all, but unbelievably rude man at reception. Me and my friend were about to check out, I had to go outside for a phone call and my friend was inside getting our passports back and all in the meantime. When I got back in, given that my friend was into another room to pay our bill, I simply asked the man at reception if he (MY FRIEND) had taken our luggage downstairs (because if not I would have gone upstairs to get them while he was paying). To my surprise this old man very annoyed replied that “ that was not his business as they aren’t our slaves “ Like... what? You’re at reception, I’m outside, 10 minutes earlier both me and my friend were both at reception to check out, I’m literally asking to empty our room earlier even tho it was 9 am and our check out was supposed to be at 12 - so if anything I was doing you a favor as I wasn’t in a rush at all. Take my advice and make sure a client facing position - especially reception - is operated by someone who knows at least the basics.. I understand the old age and being young I’m not gonna get offended, I smiled when I asked him the question and i smiled again at his rude reply. But it’s very likely that someone else in my position would have flipped because for your information it’s very offensive to accuse me of thinking someone is “ my slave “ because I asked if my luggage was still in my room.. On a brighter note, my check in experience was lovely and the lady who welcomed us was a sweetheart!…
I really enjoyed my week here, The skiing was perfect (for my average ability) The hotel is opposite the slopes so easy to pop back for lunch. Three course lunch and diner! Sometimes too much (not a bad thing!) and always very good. Family run, and very friendly, will go out of their way to help in anyway.
