We stayed here for a weekend during the truffle festival, and the central location of the Albergo was perfect. The room and bathroom were simple but of a good size and very clean, with a comfortable double bed (with a duvet over the sheets which was great for warmth). I liked the fact that the breakfast room/lounge was open all...

It can be confusing getting into the hotel, so instead of complaining about it as in other reviews, I figured I would give some advice. The Google directions are spot-on. When you arrivé look for an archway between two buildings with a do not enter sign. ( see picture) Go through it and park on the left side of the...

This hotel was not as good as we thought ( from advice on tripadvisor). A bit confusing to get in as reception is on the first floor. The lady was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are impersonal and small. There is a balcony but you cannot access it. Our biggest deception was the breakfast. As there was no fresh...

I love luxury hotels as I work in the hospitality and I like to see what our colleagues do. But my wife like simple things. So this time I booked the Hotel San Lorenzo. The welcome was very friendly in a genuine way. The two girls at reception were very welcoming. The location is perfect, just beside the duomo and...

Overall this is a reasonable hotel in a good location but becareful which room you get! Ours had bright lights shining through thin curtains all night, a struggling air conditioner that dripped loud all night, 70 church bells at 7.30 just to warn you of the following noise from the oncoming barrage of delivery and rubbish trucks on their way.

A clean and quiet room. Very charming staff and simple breakfasts with plenty of cafes made to order in a fresco-ed room with luscious morning light. Plus, San Lorenzo is walking distance from the fantastic Vin Cafe as well as Wall of Sound photo gallery. All 3 are not to be missed.

This place is wonderful. Clean, perfect location, safe, and extremely friendly staff. Really charming. Breakfast is included as is wifi and my room even had a cute balcony. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in alba. Good for solo travelers or couples.

Simple hotel with good clean well furnished rooms. The main attraction is that it is so convenient for all the scenic parts of the old town. AZlba buzzes at night besides all the shops in the day. Breakfast room was shabby/chic and the ceiling showed what agrand house it once was.Staff all very friendly.

It probably didn't help to be here on a particularly hot and humid day, but the aircon seemed to be ineffective, which was not a good start - and there was too much noise from the square outside to open the window at night - not that it would have cooled the room much, I think. Maybe the heat affected...

If you are looking for a basic and nice hotel, then San Lorenzo is fine. You have what you need and the location is central with great restaurants just outside your door. There is some traffic outside, but with ear plugs this was not a problem. The breakfast was really nice and the staff are lovely. The only minus is...
