I honestly don't know why this hotel has four stars. To say it was adequate is a compliment. It was a room with a bed. The breakfast was awful and the facilities far from impressive. I love faded gentility, but this place takes it too far. For the price, I would have expected a lot more. Having said that, the... More

This is only a review of the spa. We arrived at 10am when the spa opened. They give you a towel, slippers and a swimming cap. The pool area is small but nice. The steam room was so hot you could not sit down. They said you had to sit on your towel. If you take your one and only... More

The Hotel is surely at the best location possible within the city center, with limited numbers of parking lots but no separate protected parking for motorbikes. The reception was friendly and correct. The surcharge for a suite on the 1st-floor was considerable but obviously the only possibility to get a room to the lively Piazza vs the rear side. The... Stayed here for 3 nights. Found the room, while a little older to be very nice, had a view right over the piazza. Big grand rooms in the hotel, obviously the location in town 100 years ago. Hotel is still popular and seems to be run very well. Breakfast dining room is massive and with lots of choice. The spa... More

This hotel's only saving grace is its spa, which is actually quite good. However, as a hotel, this place is shockingly poor. The service at reception was almost entirely unhelpful, the only useful information we were given was where to park our car (about 200 m from the hotel) because they had ran out of space at the hotel (they... I had a very relaxing afternoon with my partner. The spa staff is very competent, considering the amount of people that were there on a Saturday afternoon they had an eye for everyone. We also had a very relaxing couple massage that was the cherry on top. We had dinner in a close-by restaurant..fair to say the position is ideal... More

This is a lovely old hotel right in the center of Aqui Terme, a quaint cobble-stoned town with mineral waters. The room was clean but the bed was not very comfortable. However there is a very friendly and helpful staff. The spa is fabulous. I had a massage by Marialaura, who was delightful, and wonderful. Definitely ask for her. And... More

Unfortunately we can only agree with the other 22!!! guests who gave it a terrible experience. It's an old, rundown, unfriendly and unpleasant huge hotel. The rooms were small, terrible beds, bad cushion, no information about the hotel or the town in the room, just a few soft drinks in the mini bar, plastic glasses! (In a 4 star hotel!).... More

I would actually rate it 'good', just not quite 'very good' for a 4 stars. It's clearly a long-standing hotel in Acqui Terme, which is visible in the decor, some of the appliances and amenities, but it's clean and the service is fast and courteous. Breakfast only offers continental buffet, with cold meats, excellent local cheeses and wide variety of... More

The hotel is dated. The beds were so hard I could not sleep. Breakfast was nothing special, and the coffee awful. This was the worst stay of a month-long trip, and one of the most expensive. Side note: the massage in the spa was terrible.
