After a busy few months of work, we were looking for a totally relaxing holiday and we decided not to leave the hotel site after reading lots of reviews, we knew the hotel was fairly isolated, but we didn’t mind! From arrival to departure, all staff were lovely. - especIally Maria on the pool bar and Matea from the animation team. The view from our bungalow was breathtaking, the only downside was the bungalows had hugely different sized outside space, ours barely has room for 2 chairs and a little table, others had full gardens with loungers - we’d have gladly paid more to book one of those. Booking main meals was a great idea, despite being all inclusive, it gave a loose structure to our day and I’d image made it easier for the kitchen staff and reduced food waste - ideally would like a confirmation email or text of booking as I repeatedly forgot what time I’d booked! food was great, very varied, something for everyone -loved the cocktailts to - recommend the pina colada :-) Our suggestion we made when doing a questionnaire would be to introduce an app that you can use to make and see bookings - this could also be used as a timetable of activities and a map of the site. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed wandering around, but a map would have been great! Only negatives - spa staff walking around trying to encourage guests to book treatments, felt slightly invasive when I was relaxing on a lounger, perhaps just offering a leaflet would be better? I also lost a yellow cardigan that had great sentimental value, I’m pretty sure I left it on a chair outside our bungalow - it vanished. I did ask at reception several times, but no one had seen it - so I didn’t leave anything else outside after that :-( We wouldn’t hesitate to book again, next time we’d stay for 10 nights and do some trips as there was a cheap little land train into to town.

Never been to Greece before. What an eye opener. This hotel was fabulous from arriving outside their doors to saying Goodbye. The staff were so good, geniuinely happy to help you. The exceptional Gerasimos Asteris, Guest Relations Manager, was so friendly and helpful, was definitely the jewel in the crown. I would also have to give a big thumbs up to the Animations Team (entertainment), they work so hard in trying to please everyone. All in all 10 out of 10!!

We spend very nice holidays in this beautiful hotel (13days)! The gardens and surrounding are stunning, the 3 beaches are also super nice. Room: We had a standard room in the main building it was not very modern but it was great, the only negative point there was the bad isolation we could hear everything in the corridor. Pool: Very nice pools (I can't remember how many as there are a lot) the main one was really pleasant, with all activities there and music during the day. Restaurant: The food was excellent and qualitative you could find something different every evening (I have difficulties to understand people complaining about it in the comments) Bar: There were several bars where you could find all type of coktails and international alcool which is a very good point in a all inclusive formula. STAFF: LAST BUT NOT LEAST ! ALL the staff there were SO NICE! I had never experienced a hotel like that were the staff was so kind and helpful. They remembered your name and what was your favorite drink, had every day a little kind word for you. A big thank you to the bar team : πολλές ευχαριστίες σε Gianni, Vaia, Dimitra, Doris,Manolis, Lefteris, Katerina, Melissa . All the time smiling and kind. Thank you to Vagelis in the restaurant all the time careful and nice! Also a big thank to the animation team! They work really really hard to entertain all the guests all the time and it work super well! Their show are really qualitative! Every member of the team is so kind, energetic and friendly! To sum up we spend really nice time there,we've met a lot of kind and sweet person which is really important to us. So thank you for these unforgetable holidays! Marie and Sandro

We are currently staying at this hotel for 11 nights, we have been here for 3 days and almost everything is absolutely stunning, the pools, the grounds, the beach areas, the entertainment, food and staff. However, there are 2 issues that are spoiling things somewhat. The beautiful pool is a saltwater pool, which in itself is really lovely and clean, when we are finished for the day, we head up to our very nicely presented room with a good, private balcony. Open the door and .. it is freezing.. the air-conditioning is either turned off or on, no temperature control to set a comfortable setting as the controller clearly does not work. Then to the shower .. lots of hot water and almost too much pressure.. unfortunately, this is a tiny shower cubicle with a very nasty cheap plastic curtain clinging poorly to the walls. This one feature means a drafty shower and a completely soaked bathroom floor which becomes dangerous to walk on when flooded.. Why has this amazing hotel let itself down so badly with such a vital piece of equipment. Very annoying and disappointing.

This is our third visit to the hotel in the last 10 years, and we came back again because the hotel is beautifully presented, clean, in a great location, and the staff are always friendly and helpful* We stayed for a week in the main hotel on the top floor. There are three lifts to use, and it’s not noisy or over crowded. The views from the hotel are stunning, and whether at the front or the back you can see the sea, and a sunrise or sunset. The gardens and pool areas are always kept clean and tidy, and whether you are one for sitting around a pool, on the small beach, or on the grass around the gardens, there’s always a sunbed free. There are many pools and bars to use - big thanks to Maria, who has been mentioned before for her chatty and friendly manner. There are a few places to eat, the main restaurant, a special occasion restaurant (Zorbas) and many snack bars to use through the day (including the beach). Food is always fresh, replenished regularly, and always varied. There’s entertainment in all bars in the evening. The rooms are big, with balcony, tea and coffee, soap and shampoo, and serviced daily. Would I come back? Absolutely. *If there was just one thing, and I’m being picky, is that when you approach the main bar (near to reception) you may get overlooked many times before being served, whether you were their first or not. It seems that it’s whoever catches their eye gets served, rather than the very British thing of being next in the queue. That said, at busy times the staff are run off their feet, so let’s cut them a little slack! Special thanks to Maria, Gerasimos, the tall man behind the bar who serviced us with Metaxa all week, and the young lady who checked us into dinner every night!!!

+ First time to Crete. The hotel is amazing. Staff just brilliant. Entertainment the best we have ever had at any hotel. Kids clubs are great as well. Food and drink to a high standard and lots of variety. To top it off you have the coves at the shore line where you can go for a quick snorkel will beautiful clear water. Couldn’t ask for more. - There is only one chlorine pool, the rest are salt water pools which are too much for the kids especially when getting into eye/ mouth. However the one pool available was great. - The only downside to the holiday was the transfers took 3 hours both ways instead of the posts 1hr 50.

We had a great holiday at Iberostar Creta & Panorama. Its a big complex and overlaps into the Creta Marina next door. The buffet was extensive and varied each night. All the catering staff were wonderful when we asked any questions. The five swimming pools and two beaches were great to explore so could try something new each day. Reception really helpful, especially when we needed help with buses, taxi numbers and making plans with my two children. The entertainment/animation team really made the holiday, lots of energy every day round the main pool, lots of classes. My children enjoyed the shallow pool and we went to kids club for a few days. I went to quite a few with Valeria and Madonna for yoga, body balance, dance and zumba. The evening entertainment with Simone was fabulous lots of dances and comedy. The full moon party with dj and endless alcohol was a lot of fun on the Friday night. A great holiday and I would love the chance to go back and experience it all next year!

First time at this hotel for 10 day family break with older teenagers. Attracted to book the hotel through previous reviews etc - now surprised why so many are totally 5 star. overall we did have an enjoyable holiday but some key aspects that would make me go look elsewhere next year: On arrival offered an “upgrade” to a suit rather than our two double/twin sea view rooms. Suite was a bit of a pokey damp cave room with one v small old bathroom which we didn’t accept and asked for rooms we booked. Actual double rooms were also a bit disappointing, one smaller than the other, and they seemed unable/unwilling to provide a twin bed on request. Beds lovely and big - just as well if no twin provided! Sea view is there - if you look hard. As noted in previous reviews, rooms v dated and aircons with plenty of rattle and hum - left the impression that they wanted to give you the very minimum room standard they could possibly get away with - not a great start . Check out equally painful trying to sort out late checkout room and move luggage. Reception team service inefficient, ineffectual and staff appear lacking any sense of motivation or customer service levels expected. Rooms and grounds kept very clean and beautiful- a joy to be in the gardens overlooking sea. Food is great and lots of variety, catering for all. Service staff mightily efficient at clearing plates away. Never got a look in at booking Zorbas for dinner so gave up trying, given variety in main restaurant. Main pool crazy busy at end of august with large groups of all inclusive guests keeping close to food and drinks - no chance of a sun lounge close to pool unless you places your several large inflatables and sea creatures towel pegs on the sunloungers at midnight and then sent granny/grandpa/auntie to hold the beachhead until mid morning/lunchtime to retain the numerous empty loungers for your group - again poor of management to allow this. Sea coves and gardens much quieter then. Beginning of sept things changed and pools much quieter but sea coves v busy. Plenty of ramps to make all areas accessible for buggies/ wheel chairs - but some are more steep than others. Pools were kept way saltier and warmer than sea (see other reviews) Very concrete sea coves and sea defences give a WW2 vibe to the place (still have 3 old pil boxes and an antique turret from gun) Snorkelling was wonderful and made up for lack of beach area. Animation team very jolly and in house shows generally fun to watch in the evening. Remaining staff were mixed bag - some genuinely lovely- others a bit grumpy and not bothered. Trip to Rythimnos via bus and Panorama village easy to do. Knossos was a long way for not much (most of the bits in the museum).

Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your stay at our beautifully located 4-star Iberostar hotel in Crete. Firstly, we regret that your room, designed to provide maximum comfort, did not meet your expectations because we work hard to provide our guests with accommodation that is aesthetically pleasing, modern, and pristine. Furthermore, we are saddened by your impressions regarding our staff because they are, without exception, polite professionals who do their utmost to meet the needs of each guest and therefore, we are disappointed this was not the impression received at all times. Lastly, we apologise for any inconvenience regarding sunbeds, and please rest assured that we will pass on your areas of concern to the relevant departments for their revision and take advantage of the improvement opportunities you have provided. On the other hand, we are pleased you could enjoy our dynamic gastronomy, exclusive location, and fulfilled entertainment programme, and we also appreciate your compliments regarding some of our wonderful staff here. Again, we thank you for your review, and hope to have the pleasure of serving you again at Iberostar, and until then, we wish you the best. Kind Regards, Quality Manager, Iberostar Creta Panorama & Mare
