Booked a last minute week via the internet. On landing we had included in our price a private transfer which was sorted quickly. It is roughly 20 mins from the airport. On arrival we were quickly checked in by a pleasant man and given directions to our room. As we arrived at night it was a bit confusing being told to go out the hotel and follow the road around the corner but this wasn't the fault of the man. Anyhow we found our room. The room was up a flight of steps as they are set up like apartments, so some ground floor others 1st floor. On entering there was a hallway leading into the kitchen/ lounge. Bedroom lead off the lounge area and bathroom was opposite the main door with also a door leading from the bedroom. The bedroom was huge with ample wardrobe space, tv, dressing table and bedside cabinets. Looks like they have tried to improve by painting the wardrobes from the dark wood. There were double door leading to the balcony which had 2 sunbeds on and table/chairs. Ours overlooked the pool but from a distance which suited us fine. The livingroom area had a TV , sofa, storage unit with blankets & pillows in and a coffee table. There were also double doors which lead on to the same balcony accessed from the bedroom. Kitchen area was extremely well set up. There were cloths, washing up liquid, kitchen roll and other bits that we were very appreciative of. Big fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, plates, bowls, pots, pans and again other bits that you probably have at home and use but wouldn't expect here. Balcony was great. Very good size and as mentioned with 2 sunbeds and table & chairs. We were surprised to see a set of steps from this balcony leading up to where we had a massive rooftop terrace. Fantastic bonus that we definitely were not expecting. 2 sunbeds on here as well. For us it was the best part and was mostly private too. Would have been perfect with an umbrella up there as it was a sun trap with no shade. Bathroom consisted of a double sink unit, jacuzzi bath with shower inside, and toilet. This room was the main let down really. The bath was looking very tired and worn and I hated the fact there was a shower but you had to step into the bath to use it. I'm only 5ft 2 and it was a big step up. They should rip it out and put in either a big shower or a smaller bath with a shower unit. Pool was lovely, very big with a swim up pool bar, childs area and a jacuzzi area. The resort is kept very clean and the cleaners work really hard to keep everything spotless. We aren't messy or untidy so told the cleaners to leave our room a few times when they knocked on. Lovely ladies who are nice to talk to. Please tip them as they really do go the extra mile. The resort is in what we would class as a village with a shop up the hill and a few bars/restaurants. We just got a taxi up as couldnt be bothered walking in the heat. The hotel had a free bus at 1030 that took you into Los Cristianos area (about 2.5 miles) where there is a couple of beaches. The one we preferred was called Playa Las Vistas next to the harbour. We also got a taxi some days which was about €8 or €9 one way. Lots of shops, bars & restaurants here. On our last day before leaving there were some new people who had checked in at the pool. Have to say they were only young but they were obviously drunk and basically took over the pool bar standing and sitting on the counter playing loud music and being very noisy. At one point they were behind the bar after it had closed. They wouldnt have looked out of place at the old Club 18-30 hotels! This really should have been nipped in the bud as there were families at the pool with young children. We enjoyed our time there and with a few tweaks this place would be amazing. Saying that we would return again. We booked with Jet2 who were faultless from beginning to end.…
Genuine review. Family holiday, second visit to this hotel reason being it’s in a quiet residential area far enough away from the hustle but close enough for a cab ride into town. Siam park is a 5 minute drive away, the pool is great for the children and the staff are really really lovely so was worth giving it a second chance but sadly this will be our last visit. The rooms are extremely dated, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting they need ripping out it’s that simple (totally understand the cost for this) but people will eventually stop going. They have a cheap deal for the Spanish residents day or overnight stay and when I say they pile in they come in there groups completely take over the pool and the pool bar blasting out their Spanish music all day long it’s really intimidating going to the pool bar. They all smoke around the pool and bar area throwing their cigarettes on the floor it’s filthy behaviour. This happened last time at the weekend also but we just assumed that was a big Spanish family staying, but no it’s every weekend. I understand it’s their country and they’re entitled to stay at the hotels however they have no respect for the British guests staying who have worked all year for one week of relaxation in the sun with their small children who also are contributing massively towards their economy and small businesses. It was really not on you could see the divide top end of pool was the British guests bottom end the Spanish really not well handled at all. So unfortunately we wouldn’t return to the regency.…
Family of four stayed one week in August 2022. The place is amazing, the pool is actually heated and large and fantastic. The room has a decent size balcony with table and chairs. All the staff were very helpful. The resort is lovely and quiet, really quiet. We had the breakfast buffet one morning which was plentiful but didnt use the restaurant. Whilst we were staying there the shuttle bus into Los Christianos was only running down at 1030 and up at 1730 which meant we incurred a lot of taxi fares. There is a fantastic local pub called The treehouse bar and grill which is definitely worth the 10 minute up (and I mean up!) hill walk. All in all an excellent week and we will be back.
I come to this hotel twice and have never been let down. I have stayed with my two daughters for 12 nights and I can't be happy enough to review them as absolutely amazing places to relax. Staff run miles to help... Roche, you have made our stay very special from aqua yoga to Bingo, and not to forget movie time. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. We love you😍. I also forget the name but the reception man who works on the 27th afternoon is such an amazing helping me anytime I needed help he run miles to deliver the needs. He said he is new but he brought an excellent attitude to add to the regency value and would like to thank you. overall this hotel had everything you need in one place and is strongly suggested for holidaymakers. Clean pool, room with all facilities you need, excellent staff and not to forget access to laundry, kids play and nice foods. Thank you for making my stay so lovely. I am sure we will bounce back for the third time.❤️❤️❤️ Sarah, petra, Leah XX…
Really enjoyed our 1 week stay in July 2022 at the Hotel Regency Country Club. We are a family of 4 (2 teenagers) and stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was very spacious with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, sitting area and large balcony with 4 sun loungers and lovely large wooden table and chairs. Some parts of the apartment could do with a bit of a refurb (sun lounger cushions, grouting in shower room), but overall great apartment. The pool area is the nicest I've experienced at any hotel/apartments. It's very clean and the sun loungers I think are washed down daily and we saw the lifeguard cleaning down all the handrails in the morning. We didn't have any issue getting a sun lounger even when we arrived later in the day. The pool is just perfect! There's no deep end so the whole pool can be used for swimming and playing making it very relaxing even when children are playing with balls etc. The swim up pool bar was great for drinks including cocktails and they also serve food that you can take back to your sun lounger or eat at the table and chairs provided. The hotel has a beautiful Balinese design and even the poolside showers are within a Balinese statue :) We didn't use the shuttle bus and just used taxis booked at reception. This worked out fine for going to Siam Water Park, down to the beach etc. There is a really great restaurant within walking distance called Meson La Finca Chayofa. The food is amazing and there's live entertainment. Unfortunately if walking there's no pavement (so need to be careful) and it's uphill, but well worth a visit (we went twice - loved it). Overall great place to stay with friendly professional staff.…
We had the best time the rooms are so spacious and the staff are unbelievably friendly and lively especially Pedro and Rodrigo and the manager is so accommodating, will definitely be back as it was an extraordinary experience. Would highly recommend even for a family.
Location is far away from any activity. Nice resort, but the rooms are desperate for full refurbishment. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great pool and friendly pool gym activity. Restaurant food was expensive with small portions.
Just returned from a 1 week stay as a family of 5 (myself, partner, 2 young kids and my mum) and we have had the most fantastic holiday here! We had a two bedroom apartment over two floors (room 305) with direct access to the pool - highly recommend if you’re travelling with young kids as we were constantly in and out of the room getting supplies. The main pool is a great size, my 4 year old spent his time in here with armbands rather than the kids pool as we didn’t find it had much to offer. The swim up bar is a nice novelty. The hotel has a kids club which ran from 14:15-17:00 which my 4 year old went to for 3 days out of the 7. Special mention to Rocio who runs the kids club - her energy is amazing and my son really liked her. Rocio also organises the hotel entertainment - they had aqua aerobics, bingo and family quizzes on offer as well as paella and sangria on the Saturday afternoon. The room itself was well equipped - large four poster bed in the main bedroom and two single beds in the other bedroom. The kitchen had a microwave which was handy for sterilising baby bottles etc. There was a balcony from the living room upstairs and another from the main bedroom downstairs which had its own sun loungers too. We found it to be pretty quiet around the pool which was great for us as a family, it did seem a lot busier on the Saturday and Sunday. There is a mini market next door to the hotel which had a good selection of items, however it does close at 7pm I think. I couldn’t fault this hotel at all really, perhaps one improvement - we arrived at the hotel around 10pm and weren’t offered any water or anything. I asked the man at reception if there was anywhere we could buy food and he shook his head - we had to get a taxi into Los Cristianos at that time to get supplies. However there is a vending machine next to reception were you can buy bottles of water, crisps and chocolate. We didn’t mind that the hotel was remote, we got a taxi out for dinner every night which cost an average of 10 euro one way so do keep that in mind. Overall an amazing stay!…
Just returned from a very pleasant week at the Regency Country Club. Stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with balcony overlooking the crazy golf. The apartment had everything we needed - and hotel staff responded very quickly when we asked for a replacement for a broken cork screw. Housekeeping staff were very efficient and cleaned every day. The hotel wasn't very busy. No problems getting a sun lounger and the pool area was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the Aqua Gym sessions with Rocio, who was very attentive and let us know what activities were planned each day. Also the Saturday paella and sangria was delicious! I tried the gym once but was rather disappointed. It's a small space in a basement and, to me, felt a little claustrophobic. We were aware that the hotel is in a village but we actually enjoyed the quiet location. We walked up to a lovely restaurant La Finca several times and would certainly recommend it. Food excellent and reasonably priced. On Sunday afternoons they have a live jazz singer. We took the courtesy bus into Los Cristianos on one day and were able to buy ingredients to cook with, as the small village supermarket is limited. The on-site shop closed for the week the day after we arrived. Overall my partner and I enjoyed our week and would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. …
Regency Country Club. My wife and I stayed here for a week mid June 2022, booked via our timeshare using RCI. We also stayed here 8 years ago with our daughters and enjoyed it immensely then, so I am comparing this most recent stay with our previous stay. This place really is lovely. The pool and the grounds are superb. If you want to relax and by the pool (heated) away from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts by the beach – come here. There is plenty of room, shaded areas, and sun beds. You won’t be disappointed. I would recommend hiring a car though because it is a little remote, but only 10 minutes drive into the main tourist areas. Car park has plenty of room and is free. The staff here are super friendly and will do their absolute best to help with anything they can. Apartments are serviced every day and cleanliness is very good. Pool towels are changed on request and apartment towels can be changed every day. There is a mini supermarket on site but if you have a hire car I would recommend using a larger supermarket. My wife and I tend to self cater rather than eat out (because of severe food allergy). We did eat out one evening at the on site restaurant and found the offering very limited and not to our taste. The restaurant was very quiet but looks lovely and we wondered whether their limited menu was a result of coming out of covid. Perhaps this will improve when more people begin using the restaurant. The pool bar here is great fun. You can sit in the pool and have a cocktail or beer (or both). Many a day folks would be dancing and enjoying themselves. They also serve bar food until 6pm but we didn’t sample any food. Compared to our stay 8 years ago I would say this place has maintained standards in the main building outside areas and pool. The apartments do need refurbishment. Ours (407) was perfectly adequate and clean but looked a little dated. This didn’t worry us but some folk may be put off. For us the ambience of the outside space, the cleanliness and the super wonderful staff are the worth trade off of slightly dated apartments. Checkout is at 10 AM but there is a fantastic courtesy area with multiple (10 at least) private showers and lockers. This really is a lovely place to visit and have a relaxing holiday providing you don’t mind being away from the main tourist resorts of Tenerife South. Highly recommended. …
