Chayofa Country Club is set in the perfect location for a relaxing, rejuvenating holiday. Customers can stay within the complex confines or choose one of the nearby villas with private pool. It offers the best of both worlds being only 5 minutes by bus from Los Cristianos/Las Americas and 5 minutes from the local town of La Camella with its traditional Spanish shops, tapas bars and restaurants. Chayofa has a very popular bar/lounge with pool area and a large restaurant. It is all run by an English couple, Jason and Sarah and we highly recommend it, but please don't take our word for it, have a look at the reviews The main swimming pool area is very attractive. It has a Jacuzzi and a separate child's pool and is surrounded by well-kept gardens and a great chill space with sofas and umbrellas. The Chayofa tennis academy is famous in Tenerife and certainly worth a try (additional cost), as is the gym and sauna, which is run independently and offers a variety of fitness programs. The apartments are large and have well equipped kitchens all have microwaves and some have dishwashers. All have satellite TV. Free Wi-Fi is available in the pool bar, reception and all apartments , subject to a small charge. If you want a friendly complex, with a relaxed atmosphere, away from the noise and bustle, whilst being only 10 minutes from the main resorts of las Americas etc. Chayofa Country Club is the right choice

*Please read this if you want an insight into this property from a person who has stayed different locations in Tenerife over past 10 years* Myself, my partner and 2 kids (4 and 1 years) stayed for 12 nights late Aug to Sept. We usually stay in apartments in Las Americas (PS3, Andorra, Columbus etc) but thought since high season we would go cheaper at this property. My oh my.... what a nice pleasant wee retreat in the hills only a 5-8 min bus journey away from main resorts. A lot of positives in Chayofa country club. We stayed in a spacious 1 bed apartment, clean, good kitchen facilities, fold out sofa bed for daughter in living room. Huge balcony with table and chairs to have your breakfast on while you watched sun come over. Security is pretty good (security guard on from 10pm till 7am) and there’s white shutters above windows you can wind down if you want, also helps keep the light out and keeps room cooler during night. No air con but ceiling fan in front room. We did a big grocery shopping trip at a supermarket down in Las Americas on first day that did us most of the time then just topped up every few days. Large fridge/freezer and cupboards to keep things. Poolside was big enough and my 4 year old loved it. You can take inflatables and balls into the pool to play about on (don’t know what the previous reviewer below was on about as no problems with us or other kids playing with balls in pool). Pool wasn’t salted water and while at poolside you get sun all day nearly wherever your lounger is. Local residents use pool mostly after 4pm but that was no issue as they respected the place. Pool bar open until 6pm with good deals, however we only ate there twice. The WiFi in the property was great. No problems at all. We used the gym onsite to do a wee 40-50 mins session in the mornings and it had everything you needed and good weight equipment also. The restaurant was really good and we ate there 3 times for breakfast (buffet style really good choice and even British fry up or continental) and twice for evening meals that had good selection. We ate out most evenings though and got a bus (418 or 480) down to los Cristianos or Las Americas. If your going to bus it then get a Ten+ card from the LC bus terminus, u can use that and only costs about €1.15 pp. cheaper than taxis and the buses come pretty much on time with google map bus times. Reception staff member Romy was a delight to deal with.... she always asked if we needed anything and was pleasant. Negatives on this property are only a few- The maids/clean service only come round twice a week which is fine but they should leave extra bin bags as we had to ask for extra ones after all we were a family with 2 young children with nappy’s etc. Laundry machine only takes 2x €2 coins which is a lot for a wash and then reception and pool bar didn’t have any €2 coins. Would be better with tokens you could buy from reception. TV didn’t have any English channels (always good for the news when abroad). Didn’t really bother us as we took iPads. Supermarket is downstairs to rear of property and although slightly higher priced than down in the resorts it’s got everything you need. All in all for the value paid for the 12 nights for the property it overwhelming superseded our expectations. Sometimes you get what you pay for and then you sometimes get more than you pay for.... definitely got the later. Felt like a home away from home especially when we headed out for the evening and we’re returning. We will be staying again next year.

We booked a 2 bed penthouse apartment because of the size and we need 2 separate rooms. Upon entering the apartment it was big with 2 seperate balconys either side. There is loads of wardrobe space but the beds were very uncomfortable and springy so we woke up with back ache and dead arms most mornings. The rooms are quite dated and could do with a revamp. There seemed to be an ant issue with ants all over the bedroom floor. The description of the room was an ensuite with a jucuzzi bath. Well there was no jucuzzi bath. Cleaners only came twice in our 8 day stay and made the beds with dirty blood stained sheets. Which is completely unacceptable. We did report to reception who was very apologetic but still not acceptable. The staff that worked here were friendly and helpful. There is no aircon and so we hired 2 fans which jason from reception ordered for us. The restaurant serves nice food and a decent breakfast at reasonable price. Beware this hotel is far away from the main centres but is however a 5 min ride in a taxi. The downside was the pool area. Although it was nice and maintained, there is no ball games allowed in the pool which upset the children as we have never had this before at other places. Also a lot of spanish visit this pool. I was disappointed with this hotel as it has a 4 out of 5 trip advisor review. I would not stay here again due to certain issues we had with our room

We had the most relaxing holiday here, great poolside bar and food all day till 6and Staff very friendly. Our 1 bedroom pool view apartment was just beautiful, only down side was cleaning was non existent, towels and toilet rolls left twice a week, and sheets changed twice a week with extras left in closet., bus at bottom of the hill running all day at €1.45 to town. Would definitely come back again

We arrived at reception only to find out that somewhere along the line our 2 bed apartment that I booked had been cancelled and there were no empty apartments! Jason was the lovely man who greeted us he reassured me he would sort it out we waited a few minutes then he came back and apologised and said not to worry there were no free apartments so instead he would give us a private villa for our 9 night stay.Well what can I say? It has been absolutely amazing the villa is huge 3 big double bedrooms, private pool, outside dining area, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer 2 dining areas 3 bathrooms, jacuzzi bath and so much more! We have had the best holiday ever. Its a few miles out from playa las America’s but we have preferred that as been so quiet without the hussle and bustle of staying in the main town.Throughout the holiday I’ve messaged Jason with numerous questions and he’s always replied fast and been there whenever we were unsure of anything.I would definitely return with my family and this time book a villa because they’re amazing! My only fault is no air conditioning but it cooled down enough at night and we all slept well.Thankyou Chayofa country club for such and amazing time x
