Room is functional, equipped with everything you need when traveling, also universal elettric outlets and a small kitchen. Beds are comfortable and bathroom clean. An added value is VG, who welcomes you at your arrival with a smile and professionally answers any question in a perfect English, not common in Oman!

I stayed for a night in Citadines Al Ghubrah Hotel and the experience was really up to the standards of a four star establishment.
First, the check in was very professional, smooth and short. The lady Muzna was very friendly, helpful and gave all the necessary information for the stay.
The room is of decent size and the small kitchenette was very well-equipped. I did not use it but one could easily make a meal like home there. The bathroom has all the necessary amenities and the beds were very comfortable.
Overall, the stay was very nice and I would be happy to recommend it to travellers to Muscat.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights from 28th November. It is highly recommended as we really enjoyed our stay there for the following reasons;
The rooms are immaculate and kept beautifully clean every day.
The food supplied at the buffet was excellent.
The hotel is near to shops, restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the Mosque.
The service provided at the reception is friendly and the other staff are all very pleasant.
The hotel has a lovely rooftop pool with beds and towels and a well equipped gym which is free to use.
Hiring a car is essential as it is difficult to see much without one and hire car companies are everywhere. They all require cash and won’t accept credit cards. There are 2 within metres of the hotel and are very reasonably priced.
We had a suite that had a fully equipped which was useful as we chose to eat breakfast and lunch in the room and paid for room only.
I cannot fault the hotel. It was exceptional good value for money.

I loved staying in this hotel for three nights on my recent Muscat trip. Everything about my stay was super, but particular the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of the receptionist Muzna, who checked me in, assisted me with leaving some bags whilst I was out on a day trip, and checked me out.
My room (mini-apartment) was really spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfy, and I felt I could have stayed for much longer! The coffee shop in the lobby is also really handy (I didn't want breakfast with my stay so this was a better, flexible option for me)
It's situated well for shops, restaurants etc, and the free access to washing machines is super handy for those travelling long term. I felt really safe here as a solo female traveller too.

Great food, good spread with plenty vegetarian options. Bright sets up good music, good ambience to keep the guests happy.
Everything’s fresh and clean.
There’s cereals, breads, fruits, vegetables, hummus, cheeses, meats, and a whole lot of hot dishes that a mix of Indian, Arabic, and continental. It’s a good experience all in all.

It was terrible experience I had on this property (citadine al ghubrah muscat) I was traveling almost 24hours for holiday vacation, I selected this hotel to stay since near by the aiport, unfortunately I chosen the wrong hotel, upon check- in the lady receptionist asking me a full payment for the stay, I have no enough cash omr. But I have $ dollars with me, the total cost of my stay is only omr. 22 I have 15 omr and the rest 7 omr. I will pay by dollars, I informed the lady receptionist that I will pay the rest with $ dollars, she said that the hotel will not accept $ dollars, I was explained to her that I just came from the aiport and I was so tired shall I pay the rest by evening I have to exchange my dollars outside, or my cousin will come by evening and pay the rest of the amount cost of only omr. 7 or else I will quarantine my id or passport to keep , I will exchange the dollars outside by evening , but she refused me to check in, now I realize the discrimination /criticism,I decided to walk out and check in to other hotel, thank God other hotel very considerate not even asking the deposit even id's qurrantee, will I hope other guest will not experience the same treatment that I had experience , you have to improve your hospitality and service, especially front office staffs, never ever to booked this hotel anymore,many hotel choices in Muscat. I came to Muscat only for 2-3 months and now I am staying in Citadines. I should really tell you that it provides most of the services you ask for and as for the staff they do their best to help you. Especially from the day one Elsayed from reception helped me for all of my needs. All in all I really recommend people to go and stay in Citadines Al Ghubrah!

Clean, modern hotel.......
Excellent service, top customer service, perfect location, near restaurants and main roads.
Free car parking is surely a plus for us. We stayed in a suite, full kitchen, central air conditioning, very quiet and relaxing. We would definitely consider staying in this hotel next time we visit Oman (Muscat).
