Close to the famous wine village St Emilion, 20 miles from Bordeaux, an old barony has been transformed to become guest house of Domaine de Bel Air Carpe Diem. This building, dated back to 1782, with its wine store house, will welcome you in one of its bedrooms and its exceptional vineyard environment. The Domaine perfectly combines intimacy, comfort and a natural class perfectly combining history with natural beauty and modern comfort. An absolute haven of peace of mind, nearby the vineyards of Pomerol, Cote de Blaye, Sauternes and Cots de Castillion. In the center of this Domaine you will find a characteristic courtyard with a centuries-old chestnut tree, fruit trees, completed by an immense prairie. Our heated pool with view of the vineyards greet you from May to October for moments of relaxation. Fallen for the charms of old stones, we wanted to create a welcome and an art of living reflecting our personality.

Recently stayed here and had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Jean and his family make your stay that little bit more special than you already feel in their wonderful establishment. A welcome glass of the neighbouring vineyards chilled wine was lovely after a long drive. Breakfast is a fresh and lovey presented experience with fresh produce We look forward to returning here again

This renovated property is so peaceful and serene. I felt safe and comfortable. The pool, the dogs who sat with us. Madame helped us with many reservations to wonderful cafes and restaurants. Every care was thoughtfully seen to. Clean rooms.

We had a wonderful stay at Domaine de Bel Air Carpe Diem and highly recommend it to anyone traveling in that area. Isabelle is the nicest and warmest host you will ever encounter. She made us feel very welcome from the start and provided us with helpful information on things to do in the area. The rooms are luxuriously furnished and very comfortable, with lovely attention to detail. The breakfast each morning was also a treat -- we feasted on freshly baked breads and pastries and other delicious foods. I cannot emphasize Isabelle's wonderful hospitality. Even after we left, she was still very thoughtful and attentive. We accidentally left some recently purchased wine in our room, and Isabelle graciously sent it to us. This is the best place to stay in the area! Olivia & Bjorn - San Francisco, USA

The Domaine de Bel Air Carpe Diem is a really lovely place to stay. The room decor and interiors are luxurious with lots of thought on ambience and use of space. Isabelle the host was extremely helpful from the moment we contacted her on email and fantastic and friendly from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast included homegrown and homemade treats which were a great touch. The pool area was relaxing and quiet with a lovely countryside view. I would highly recommend the Domaine for a stay near Bordeaux which is ideally located for a wine region tour and a visit to the beautiful town of St Emilion. Personally we hope to return again in the not too distant future. Thank you.
