The BEQUIA BEACH Hotel garners admiration for its serene beachfront charm and well-maintained ambiance, with many guests lauding the pristine condition of both rooms and grounds. While the array of amenities, including yoga and shuttle services, receive positive mentions, some guests feel the food service could be more prompt. Although the staff's friendliness is a highlight, occasional lapses in restaurant efficiency have been noted. Despite its tranquil location and comfortable rooms, some travelers consider the pricing steep given their experience with the hotel's services.

The accommodation and decoration are the most comfortable and most plush we had on our three island visit. Choice of restaurants was good and two seafront beach options and Beach Bar. Also gorgeous swimwear on offer in Beach Bums shop. Rima (customer service) is the most "can do" person you will ever meet and has such great warmth and welcome. The owner was on site when we were there and clearly cared that everyone had a special visit to his lovely island paradise. Restaurant service was Caribbean if you know what I mean - bit like "when I get round to it" but mostly ok.

Hotel's Favorite
Great place to stay with amazing attentive and caring staff especially Ms Rima Ali (Guest Services) who sorted out my pre and post arrival and departure protocols. Very helpful. General ambience is warm and welcoming and also found fellow guests entertaining and friendly. If enough guests join and contribute Rima can arrange a half day or whole day motor yacht charter (m/y Star of the Sea). This is where you get to know some of the other guests and have an entertaining time. Enjoyed a ten day stay in a junior plantation suite. Food was of a high standard and it’s worth mentioning that there is also a small Italian Restaurant up some steps which although with a slightly limited menu was a favourite of mine. Waitress Raynella and waiter Ezra were really charming. Returned to London via Barbados and travelled on Bequia Air from Bequia. Short flight but their handling agent in Barbados , Executive Air Ltd., were extremely helpful escorting us to the front of the queues and on to the BA check in Desk with luggage. First class service. Am travelling to Barbados again by yacht in November but will avoid staying there and make straight for Bequia Beach Hotel which was so much fun.

Superb swimmable beach, gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean, warm and friendly staff, excellent massages, and good food. We traveled as a family in early November and it felt like we were one of 12 other travelers in island, the serenity and peacefulness of the hotel and the island overall was amazing. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars (despite the fact that it’s joined a handful of places we would def return to) is because we came for a kids club and they didn’t even have a sand bucket for the kids. The hotel did introduce us to an absolutely lovely local mom who wound up being the best babysitter for our family everyday of our trip, but when you promise the kids a club and don’t deliver they don’t forgive easily. There should be at least one planned kid activity daily that is hosted no matter how many kids are there so that guests don’t feel like they have to beg. The only other thing might be that the food isn’t winning any awards. It’s very good some nights and others it’s better than fine. Not a deal breaker by any means. I would note that most rooms are set back on the property so you’re not getting an ocean view everywhere and there might be a two to five minute walk to the beachfront where the restaurant and bar and pools and ocean is, but it’s an easy walk (no hills, holes, or slopes). In November the soft swells of the ocean on the hotel side got a little too big for our 2 year old on the last few days, but the hotel provides a free shuttle to their sister property on the other side of the island and for littles and adults it’s its own lap of luxury, with absolutely still calm ocean and a beach bar with chairs and delicious seafood pasta to toss back with a spritz! The hotel was also very cool about making arrangements among the guests so that we could all group lease a boat for the day and that snorkel trip with a stop in Canoun was perfect! We will be back.

The location was fantastic. Our villa had views out to the ocean and the sound of waves was calming during the night. The hotel was full when we went, but we always found a deckchair when we wanted at one of the three pools or a table reservation at our preferred time at either of the great restaurants.

We were told by letter at 10:00pm on Feb. 10 that we could not leave the island by air the next day at 1:00pm Feb. 11 because there was a problem with the fire truck at the airport. We would instead have to leave by ferry at 8:00am to catch a flight from St. Vincent to Barbados. It would have been been thoughtful of someone in guest services to alert us to this possibility earlier in the day before so we would not have to scramble to pack everything at ten o’clock at night when we were tired coming back from dinner off the premises. We were going onto another island destination, not going home, so packing had to be done carefully. Apparently, this airport problem has happened in the past. Perhaps management should speak to the appropriate authority to ensure that the fire truck is maintained and ready to engage in case of an emergency. We appreciate that guest services chartered a flight for us to get to Barbados. But what would happen if there were a real emergency and someone had to get off the island by air in a hurry? This is a real inconvenience, and a problem that needs to be solved. This episode rattled 12 people, most of whom were very tired and cranky. We still had a very nice visit to the hotel and Bequia, but it was marred by our departure experience.

Aging as gracefully as its charming owner. A safe, comfortable way to recharge your batteries. The beach is a perfect morning stroll, and the staff are friendly and helpful. You’ll need to make sure you’ve filled up your piggy bank beforehand.

This was our sixth visit to Bequia Beach, and we think probably the best. The grounds are looking beautiful. Our room was extremely comfortable with an amazing view out over Friendship Bay, and we made good use of our spacious balcony. The pool was inviting especially in the early morning and evening. The new Sand Bar, just down the beach, made for a pleasing stroll though the surf, and the open views across the bay were perfect. Lunch at the hotel was consistently good and we also ate several times at Jacks Bar, which was great fun. Dinner at the hotel was also very good and the staff went to great trouble to ensure we had a table in our favourite spot. In fact, the staff are what make this hotel such a relaxing experience. It is difficult to single out individuals but special thanks go to Donna, our amazing chambermaid, who anticipated our needs and was unfailingly cheerful and courteous. In the restaurant Jasmine was a stand-out server, but big thanks also go to Janelle, Raffaella and Annella (always so helpful at breakfast). Rima and Leisa are always so helpful at reception. It is worth mentioning that travelling via St Vincent and the sister hotel, Grenadine House, works very well.

A lovely hotel in immaculate grounds, on a great beach. The private ownership comes through with the care and attention. The buildings have an old school charm and elegance; so don’t expect a global 5* chain. We very much enjoyed our stay, and it’s perfect for a chilled pared-back break. The food could certainly be better, and the buffet nights are very underwhelming! The new beach bar is lovely and a great walk up the beach. The sister bar/restaurant (Jacks) on Princess Margaret Beach could be stunning, but seems to be now over-run with nasty loud ‘booze cruise’ visits - this is crazy and doesn’t match the hotel vibe or its brand. Perhaps the new GM is making (poor) changes? I would defo return, but will be closely watching Trip Advisor for comments on F&B, cleanliness and Jacks bar…

Lovely and quiet hotel, liked the old feel of the Caribbean Lunchtimes became busy and noisy when ‘boat’ people arrived, understand this commercially but spoilt the experience for guests A few little changes would make stay perfect 1. Freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast 2. Bar team to learn how to make a proper G&T 3. Beach area needs to be cleaned more, cigarette butts & drink straws were in the sand for my whole stay (end of beach by rooms 70 onwards) 4. Turn down service needs to include change if towels in bathroom
