We decided to stay in this hotel for one night to catch our early transfer from another island.

Room - old and a lil stinky, dont have water kettle and blower

Staff- service minded

Transpo- poor. They dont have hotel cars and will just arrange a transfer via public taxis and will cost you $16 each round trip. The thing is it will only cost you $1-3

TIPS- the taxis are just outside the airport. If you cant find the line, just ask. Don't advice fuanna to arrange a pick up, otherwise they will arrange the transfer that would cost you $16!!!. Just do it by yourself it's easy and fast.

We chose to stay at this property as our flight arrived late at night from Malaysia, before going to one of the resorts the next day. Of course, we had done the online bookings earlier. We booked the deluxe room. Everything was easy.....the rep gathered us at the airport (albeit had to wait for about 30mins for some guests arriving on Singapore Airlines too), put us on a mini bus, and distributed us to the respective hotels within a 15-20min distance from the airport.
We never expected any luxury, and we didn't get it either. But, all in all, the service was good, the receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our room, though small, was comfy - and yes, an added bonus, it fronts the beach. Breakfast was edible....but nothing to shout about.
We know what we paid for was a good night's sleep prior to starting our holiday proper, and that's what we got. So, we have nothing to complain about.

If you need to stay near the airport whatever you do don't go to Fuana Inn. Amazingly it is in the ghetto of the Maldives. Terribly dirty, unhelpful staff, noisey, just about everything you would not want is at this hotel. Be warned.

This is the worst experience that i ever had for the pass 13 years of my travel life. They broke my baggage. When we mentioned it, the man at reception counter of Fuanna Inn, ignored it and asking for $10/pax transfer which I was completely unaware of either requested for it. The man said that our baggage was broken from somewhere else. My husband went in front of the hotel and we found the broken piece of my baggage. At the this point, the man said that no transfer payment, he would not give us the room and completely ignore about our damaged baggage. My husband propose to get the compensation of the baggage to be redeemed for the transfer cost. At this point of time, the man from Fuanna Inn decided to kick us out of the hotel and began judging our nationalities. This is just incredible when we as the customers, we paid for our accommodation, our credit card information was taken Agoda, Our baggage was damaged by the hotel. We didn't received any gesture of courtesy from the hotel about our damaged baggage but rather got insulted and kick out by the hotel personnel.
In additional, i found out later that the transfer from airport or ferry terminal to hotel in Hulhumale is cost $1/way/pax or offered for free by other hotels. Even though, there is the information on Agoda mentioned that transfer $10 however it wasn't mentioned the details or compulsory. This information is kind of confuse and rip off customer.
I am alright to get a bit more expensive service but not for such manner and level of service.
There are plenty of good hotels around Hulhumale which has much better standard of service and manner. The deal that Fuanna Inn offer online is not worth what you are paying, without mentioning how it would mentally damage your holiday experience in Maldives.
This is not only nightmare in Maldives but my travelling life's nightmare

I booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay as our seaplane to our resort was scheduled for the next morning. When arriving at Maldives airport at night, we were met by the representative who then sat us down in the waiting area. We all waited for 40 mins before pushing into a van. It was a mini van with probably 8 seats. There were all together 12 people in the van and my friend's wife had to sit on the husband's lap! I questioned the safety and the reply from the representative was" you need to wait for the second round if you don't get in!" So we risked our lives to get to the inn. Of course I was cursing the whole time. I could not believe this was happening to us before our supposedly luxurious holiday.
The rooms we had was extremely basic and the included breakfast was disgusting. We paid US$105 for a standard room.
The next morning we were transported to the airport and this time the van was not overloaded.

Where else can you get a double bedded room, with air-con and satelliteTV, for $90 a night. Nowhere, that's where. Also, the double rooms (6 of them) all face looking out over a quiet lagoon and have balconies. It really is excellent value for money.

We choose this hotel because it is near the airport island namely Hulhumale. It is just 10 minutes away from the airport and we don’t have to take the boat transfer to Male since it is 10pm at Male when we arrives Maldives. Just for your information, the city of Maldives is on an island and space are limited so kindly do not expect luxurious space at the hotel which I would able to accept.

Here is my review on Fuana Inn:-
Hotel Environment: Hotel are not luxury but I believe it is just nice for a night transfer while waiting for the next morning transfer to island resort since the internal seaplane transfer do not fly at night. The hotel is near to the airport island and the cost is around $85/night during month of June.

Around the hotel: Nothing much surrounding the hotel except the simple beach in front of the hotel where the beautiful morning at Maldives welcomes us.

Hotel Service & Staff: The service are reasonable but lack of hospitality like we need to wait for breakfast after morning call was make and also people are standing still waiting for tips. We did tips for better service but not all.

Room Comfort: Room is small with basic bathroom and a double bed for us. I love their cable TV where there are many channel but too bad we did not really utilize it because is just a night transfer.

We were disappointed by all employees of this hotel. All of them were missing the basic rules of hospitality culture. We paid two days before via booking.com. We were accommodated, had a shower. After that, phone was ringing, at the same time somebody was louldy knocking on the door. When I opened, one employee ordered me to come down immediatelly, was talking like he wants to move us out. We reached reception and were told our room hasnt been paid. They had all our credit card details, we had to sign anyway at almost midnight. Unfortunatelly his eftpos didnt accept our card which we use all over the world. He sent us to 5 mins walking ATM to withdraw money.
They promised us morning wake up call as we needed to catch a plane to Kuredu Island. No wake up call in the morning! At this stage I was really getting upset. Fortunatelly we set up our own alarm clock. I calmely said to receptionist thank you for wake up call, we didnt get any. No sorry or anything. Just ignored me.
Last surprise was shuttle bus. We were told to wait at reception. Shuttle bus will come for us. After 10 mins waiting another employee took one of our lugagge and without a word. After our questioning him we got to know we were going to a public bus stop to get to the airport. We paid 20 USD for return shuttle to the hotel. One way took around 10 mins.

This name no longer exists. The building previously called fuana is now called sunny suites which looked nice but we were put in a hotel called noomoo which is nice but we weren't aware of these changes.
