Another successful visit for us, unfortunately the views were spoiled by mist but on a nice day the views over the Tamar Valley are stunning. As always the food was very good and the staff are very helpful and very pleasant. Well worth a visit.

Had dinner last night with a group of 6. All were massively disappointed with quality of the food. Broccoli and Stilton soup was a milky broth with a hint of vegetable flavour but no Stilton . It was made with cream and very watery . Tinned soup would have been a major improvement for this dish . I had the... More

Visited with mum and dad on Father's Day last week. Was so pleased as managed to book on the day although they were busy. The 2 waitresses looking after us were so friendly and attentive and made a difference. Food was very good and reasonably priced.would def recommend and would return.

Having driven to the wrong place for a meal. On the way back to town we stopped at this Pub to ask if they could help us with some information about where we were meant to be at. The people in the pub were so so helpful and very informative that as we had missed our appointment with other friends... More

Delicious food and friendly service, a very enjoyable visit :) surprisingly spacious, bright and unique setting and the menu has plenty to choose from! I particularly enjoyed the mussels, very tasty and presentation was lovely, all aspects of our visit were enjoyable and will return !

Stopped off here for lunch - recommend the special burger. Hubby had chicken, ham and leek pie - although not the biggest pie certainly fresh and tasty and more than adequate. He had enough room for the blackcurrant and apple tart which was served warm with ice cream. He used the word "it was lush" which for those not in... More

We book late for a Sunday lunch but were not disappointed, we both had an excellent lunch and both finished all on the plate which for my husband who eats very little was good and he really enjoyed the beef. We will certainly becoming again lovely pub lovely friendly staff thank you Susan and Charles Prince

Pub in great location however very disappointed with food. Crab cakes average but hand cooked chips extremely greasy and inedible. Offered refund on drinks. Waitress very apologetic but landlady less amenable. Will not be recommending this pub to friends. Such a shame, have been going to this pub for several years.

My wife and I have been coming here for 40 years under various managers. It has the potential to be a great pub and is in a fantastic location. We visited today for lunch and were most disappointed with lunch. Quite simply the food was very poorly cooked and very greasy. My concern is that while the young waitress dealt... More

I'm really sorry that you didn't enjoy your lunch with us. All our food is home cooked using locally sourced ingredients, and we work really hard to deliver high quality classic pub dishes. The fish and chips is on of our most popular dishes, and our fish is all fresh, cooked on our own crispy batter and served as soon... More

We had a family get together over Sunday lunch, the menu selection was very good and the portion sizes were amazing all in a lovely atmosphere with friendly helpful staff and fantastic view of the Tamar Valley, we will definitely go back again.
