The Cornwall Car Club had booked the dining room for Sunday lunch, and we could not have been better provided. The menu was excellent and varied to cater for all our tastes; the service superb, and the ambience with fine table linen and napkins combined with outstanding views,

Staying in Portwrinkle with the family so walked up to enquire about an evening meal . Serving from 6pm , lunch menu before then ! Such a shame this hotel is in danger of closing at the end of November and being turned into apartments . Got chatting to the fantastic Spanish

Called here on the off chance of dinner and were well received and fed. Quaint old fashioned decor, spotlessly clean. White table cloths, friendly service, very good menu and the food was well cooked and presented. All in all a very good evening.

The is a must visit place. It over looks Portwrinkle Bay which is spectacular. The building it self is just stunning. Wonderful interior, luxurious leather chairs and sofas. The floorboards take you back to school days highly polish wooden floors. Stunning pictures on the walls.

We have been coming to the hotel for a good number of years and the welcome has been as warm in the last year as it was in the first. We made friends at the hotel and for the last few years have met those friends for a week of laughter, good food and comfortable rooms and great

I carnt say for sure but we came back yesterday and there were dogs on the beach . The hotel staff would be able to inform you better. Re the meals in the hotel, in the deal we picked the kids were able to choose from the kids menu or a smaller portion on te main menu which I think is great. The food is of a good standard and we ate very well all week, its a really good choice of holiday if you have children

What's best way to travel from Exeter airport to here?
Get yourself a hire car. It's not just getting to the hotel that is going to be the trick. If you want to go out anywhere during your stay ( and there isn't so much as a post office in Port Winkle ), you will need your own transport. By the time you pay for airport transfers and a couple of return taxi fares to anywhere ( as in oops, I forgot my razor/hairbrush/ toothpaste and need to buy some, somewhere at some point), the hire car is going to work out cheaper plus give you the freedom to choose when and where you go.
