We stayed two nights in two rooms. There was originally a mess up with the reservation which was corrected. Had an 80th party which went very well. Food was excellent, although they charged a 20 GBP corking fee. The rooms were small and basic. Good bath but showerhead did not function very well. Had to pay extra for a cooked...

Good value basic accommodation with parking & simple breakfast. The hotel is easy to find and in a good location within easy walking distance of small shops & an interesting little village. Parking is ample and you can park outside your room. The rooms appear to be out of a 1960s timewarp but everything worked (except TV didn't have a...

Booked a one night stay as was convenient for a friends party. The room was pre 1960's. Very musty, old fashioned and probably had not been decorated since the 60's as well. The TV was about 11'' across and had no signal which was disappointing as it would have been nice to watch some of the Olympics. The bathroom was...

Since I last visited they have read the reviews and have realised that offering "breakfast in a basket" delivered to your room the night before is not great business sense. So now, breakfast is inside the restaurant. However - where to start. It seems very odd when you arrive, are given a key, a very quick "wifi is this, breakfast...

We stayed here for two nights for a family wedding in the village. Basically it was very disappointing, although the bed was comfortable, the pillows weren't. The rooms were quite tired and the tiles in the bathroom were cracked. The worst part was breakfast. No cooked breakfast offered on Saturday and the "continental" breakfast that was provided simply bore no...

Not great I won't be staying again, stayed in a room next to the car park which was handy but the overall quality of the room was poor. I could have written my name in the dust on the cover of the hotel directory which was on the bedside cabinet. Cobwebs and dust everywhere, the mats beside the bed were...

We wanted a light lunch so I ordered soup and hubby ordered a main and we both ordered drinks. After the order had been taken I was advised that there was a minimum charge per person so would I like to order dessert??? I really do not have a big appetite so soup and bread would be more than enough...

Have stayed at almost all accommodation in the area. This hotel or probably more accurately motel, whilst a little dated, is extremely clean and accommodating. Only offers continental breakfast. Good value for area.

The highlight of the stay was the tasty breakfast. Faultless presentation and an attentive member of staff. We had time to chat to our friends from Spokane, USA and we looked ahead to visiting other areas of England.

stayed here for one night when visiting relatives the room was basic but clean all rooms appear to be on ground level and considering a main road nearby was very quiet - we ate in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent very very busy as the run up to christmas would stay there again
