Actually this review is for September 2019, I had a weekend getaway in Paris while I was 3 months pregnant. Louise Courtial, Guest Relations Manager took really good care of me and my husband. I had emailed the hotel before we arrived into the hotel about my change of circumstances. The hotel allowed us to check in before 11am, and upgraded our room to a suite to ensure a new and expectant mom could have a good rest before strolling up and down in Paris.
You won’t find anything surprising or sexy here, which is essentially a solid, old-school, 4-star business hotel. As such, all the amenities and requisite services one expects from said type of establishment are provided here. As in other Accor Pullman properties in Europe, the wonderful staff here—whether at the front desk or in the bar and kitchen-- exudes professionalism and efficiency befitting a hotel serving the finance centre of France. So staying in La Défense as tourists (before Covid-19) may not entirely make sense, but one cannot deny its surprising convenience. It’s a three-minute walk to the RER station, which has trains running almost continuously to the centre of Paris (when not en grève); you can get to le Louvre in as little as ten-minutes. In addition to CNIT next door to the hotel, the giant Westfield Les Quatre Temps mall is mere four minutes away, and it also has endless food options. Another reason to stay here instead of within le Périphérique is that one can find large-sized rooms in a good hotel for slightly more affordable prices. As a foreigner in France, one may also consider staying here for a slightly more unfiltered real slice of life experience, rather than staying in the more obvious tourist areas. Regardez the French workforce and businessmen going about their businesses in their natural milieu in here and in the surrounding office towers; see the teens run rampant in the nearby malls and arcades while immigrants hustle outside. As expected, the hotel delivers on most of the basics: cleanliness, helpful staff, adequate room temperature control, noise level under control, comfortable bed, good water pressure and water temperature controls in the bathroom, decent lighting schemes, enough electrical outlets to charge your piles of modern junk, workable wi-fi, competent housekeeping, and adequate toilet pressure. The breakfast buffet justifies its not inexpensive price; ditto the other meal services. Our contemporary room (junior suite, with toilet separate from the bathroom that has a bathtub) is well-designed and comes with terrific views of the nearby skyscrapers. Don’t have anything to complain about, so we’ll consider staying here again.…
The staffs are very friendly, the location is just front of Grand Ache La Defense, the metro line 1 from hotel hotel just 3 minutes by foot. The room is big and the bed quite comfort. The restaurant of hotel is nice deco. The breakfast and dinner is delicious and good price.Moment is best season to travel Paris, because less tourists there. All museums are very attraction. I have been to Paris many times, but this time is best for me.
I stayed at this hotel for business, but close proximity to Metro and other transport meant that it was easy to see the sights as well. Concierge was extremely helpful for all of our team’s needs, specifically Mahrhine and Vincent. Room was clean and comfortable with a good quality bed and linens, and sturdy furniture for working. I slept very well here! In-hotel dining was very convenient and delicious, and the bar served great drinks. Laundry service was prompt and well-done. Lobby was clean and well decorated with water and fruit available for guests. Very easy to take Uber or other rideshare from their convenient drive out front. A bit outside the heart of the city, but if you are planning to stay in La Defense, this is an excellent choice.
I have been in this hotel with a group as a tour leader. It is really good choice for families, as there were some in our group!room size!bed size, break fast, stuff, an facilities were all very good. It is very close to shopping mall, subway station and what ever you need for a family trip.very nice walking area and hubs around. The only thing that was some times bothering for my group of families was the escalator nearby. In order to go to all nearby spots you need to take about 50 steps up. Luckily there is an escalator just afew steps away from the exit, but Some times, It was out of work and very difficult for families with children and strollers.
