Food is excellent (vegetarian only) and not expensive. Me and my boyfriend went every day for lunch and smoothies. We would love to pay additionaly for breakfast and dinner but it's for hotel visitors only. Still lunch was always sooo good and we were always very full afterwards.
Would recommend 100%!

This is a place on the beautiful island of Iz that hosts various workshops on spirituality and wholesome living, and serves saatvik vegetarian meals. Yet, it seems to have ignored the fact that it needs TLC itself, and desperately. The location is awesome. The potential is amazing. Yet, it is like an orphan, with no one in charge and no one to take care of it. It needs nurturing and nourishing.

The infrastructure is almost all broken for years. The grounds and the campus are umkempt. Wasps and other insects hover all over the food buffet and the dining tables, making it impossible and unhygienic to eat. There are mosquitoes galore, and dogs and cats roam the hotel freely. It is a 2 story hotel with multiple sets of stairs. If you have a large suitcase and the room is on the 2nd floor, good luck! No elevators.

Treatment rooms are besieged by maintenance and other noises emanating ll the time. There is no relaxation. Most people seem to come for the sun and the sand and the sea, and dont really care.

For this state of affairs, prices are steep and not worth it. Food is good but not extraordinary.

Most of the limited staff are warm and caring. But just too busy with their chores to really care about the big picture.

Although some parts of the hotel need some renovation, the overall impression is great. The vegetarian menu is awesome with a variety of dishes. It is the right place for a peaceful holiday to recharge your batteries.

P.s.: don't forget to book your ferry in advance - you may not get a place otherwise.

We booked this hotel because it was the only option for staying just one night in Veli Iz. We were expecting simple, good accommodation - unfortunately we were very disappointed. The facilities are still at the level of the early 1980s, and the quality of the (vegetarian) evening meal was unacceptable: carelessly cut vegetables with no taste, which could be better without extra costs. €160 for a double room with half board is simply too much. Even if it offers the opportunity to do yoga etc., unfortunately that doesn't improve the stay at all.

We were rather disappinted since the campsite and specialy its sanitaries were dirty; cleaning ladies spent more time smoking and drinking coffee there, than cleaning. Also a huge amount of waste material was in the middle of campsite, waiting to be removed- did not happen in 4 weeks. Tanker-ship with water arrives every two days and makes noise several hours pumping drinking water to island. However food is good and staff, specially students are nice too. However, prices of staying in camp are too high for what you receive.

We were really looking forward visiting this place. However highly disapointed due to extreemly poor hygene conditions in camp. Cleaning staff was smoking in the kitchen area instead of cleaning it, fridge full of dirt and full, coocker almost out of order, not working. Food is nice, but not compensating the price, which is almost as high as price of hotel room. Not coming back.

So the hotel as as far as I can see is the only hotel on the whole island! I presume it's for that reason that our room still hadn't been cleaned after 2 weeks! The food was really bad. Apart from having no idea what anything was they regularly got the vegan and vegetarian labels mixed up, which considering this is a vegetarian and vegan hotel, is kind of a big thing. The hotel was advertised as using fresh ingredient from the island yet we were served tinned pineapple, frozen peas and beetroot from a jar.
The hotel also wasn't cheap!
I would not recommend this hotel!

If you are looking for all modern conveniences and lots of pampering. Hotel Korinjak just isnt for you. BUT....if you want to be in nature, in a peaceful, beautiful place where the staff feel like your family and you could watch the sunrise and set forever. GO!!! I had the fortune of calling Hotel Korinjak my home for over 3 weeks. Vanja and her team go out of their way to help you, the food is healthy and vegetarian/vegan and smoothies are awesome. Even though I was on a yoga teacher training here, I still managed the massages and the gong bath and even a morning trip to see the dolphins. Veli,IZ, is totally unspoilt and the nature is beautiful.....Treasure every moment!

This was first our first time at the hotel and it was excellent! The foor is really vegetarian and the quality is really really good, most of it is home made and fresh! If you are interested in spirituality vacation, alternative tehniques, yoga, meditation, gong, ayurveda etc.this hotel is little heaven on earth and it offers you A LOT of activities and workshops in this field. So if you want to have peaceful vacation and while focusing on your personal growth this is place you want to visit. Also, the sea is very beautiful and clean, and the town us very very small, there is not many people here, and the nature couldnt be described with words :) we had great time here, im only sorry we didnt stay for the whole week. Next time!

Hotel is not really cheap considering what you get but with very well priced single rooms, which makes it attractive for solo travellers. Single rooms are spacious with a lot of storage, with air-con, but no TV or wi-fi. Wi-fi available in the lobby. Showers in bathrooms could do with some updating, e.g. installing glass doors.
Hotel is surrounded by the rocky beaches and all amenities of Veli Iž are nearby or close. Personnel very attentive and pleasant. Served food is of vegetarian variety and very innovative and tasty. Hotel and its environs facilitate an easy-going, care-free and healthy stay.
