When I saw the negative reviews I was very scared but when we arrived we were delighted. Some points to review anyway, mattresses are very hard, favor to bring your blankets sheets and pillows because we had mold on pillows not very hygienic all this. For sinks it would be nice if we could lock for more privacy. The showers are hot but not very clean and require a little new. For us no smell in the yurt, the campsite is very quiet it is nice. Lack of play for children. There is a certain night a food truck that puts it in front of the reception. The staff is very kind and pleasant. The campsite offers toilet paper, tableware, sponge. In the yurt a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, cooktop, crockery. We enjoyed our stay the week passed very quickly.

We spent 2 nights in a caravan with our two children at the end of May, we were cold, no insulation, gas heating is available (the kind of heating that you cannot leave all night in such a small space closed) in addition there is no monoxide detector (obligatory). The electricity doesn't have to be up to standard either...The yurts and caravans are next to each other: preferring a yurt space and a caravan space would be more pleasant. The furniture in the trailers is the same as that in the yurts (Mongolian furniture), which breaks the style and is not at all suited to the trailer. The toilets are clean and the shower water is very hot.
As for breakfast, it's plentiful but a supplement is requested for crepes (in cardboard, too bad for the Breton crepes!!!) and salted butter caramel which we didn't have the first day. The coffee is the color of tea... however the bread is very good. The concept could be much nicer if the managers were more open-minded towards customers and not towards money but this campsite seems to be a simple business. Too bad there is great potential to explore...

Family stay in yurt no. 34, from April 21 to 23, 2024.
Excellent welcome. Impeccable toilets and showers. Presence of dishwashing products, sponges and tea towels that cannot be found elsewhere in other campsites. Very clean yurt with the necessary comfort. We will return there with our eyes closed. Impeccable breakfast. Very friendly staff and very good advice for discovering Brittany. I recommend this excellent campsite for a total change of scenery.

It is not an unusual village, but rather a campsite located between an industrial zone and a recycling center. The Yurts are certainly charming and exotic, but the advertisement is misleading because there is no view of the sea. Furthermore, you will not find any tranquility if, unfortunately, you are allocated one of the yurts placed just opposite the showers, toilets and children's play area, with the added bonus of the constant passing of cars from other yurts at our door, day and night.
The bedding is poor quality, the pillows are mediocre and probably bought for less than a euro. The bed linen is beyond dated and on top of all that, there is no kettle or coffee machine, only a saucepan on an electric hob.
The continental breakfast consists of a low-end baguette, pieces of industrial cake and two dry pancakes from a packet.
If we add to this the smell of humidity inside the yurt and the dilapidated state of it outside, you absolutely have to escape!
Compared to other nearby establishments, the value for money is certainly far from satisfactory.
We therefore sent our dissatisfaction to booking who contacted the owner of the place. The latter simply called us back to copiously insult us with messages left on our answering machine.

I came to do a spotting to come back with my friends who ride bikes, a group in other words... Living in St Malo, next door, I found the plan tantalizing... I ask the manager if she gives me an Award for the weekend at the end of September. (The campsite is almost empty) she tells me that Saturday night is more expensive... well... okay received... I still go there as a scout with my girlfriend. This is just a campsite, nothing exceptional. The young woman at the reception is very nice and struggles without counting her hours... Yurts are indeed super wet, but hey, in Normandy... how else to do it? It's super-spartan. The showers are hot but nothing to put your things down, everything seems out of date, tiles falling, floor more than average... it's to the economy seems... In any case we frankly did not want to spend the evening even if there is enough to cook: two electric hobs and a poor old rusty fridge (normal considering the climate) some kitchen utensils too but weirdly we do not want to settle there at all... There are mini Chinese padlocks to close the yurt... well... it doesn't suck huh... we're between us:)))) In any case we were super disappointed because we have a girlfriend who owns a yurt and it just has nothing to do with:(
The Award is far too high for the performance. So I won’t come with the band, I don’t want to end up in the water... which is not there anyway is the bottom of the bay...

Disappointed, we promise you a lunch that is not at all up to the standard, acidic low-end fruit juice.
Review the information you publish, and keep your promises.
Despite everything sanitary very clean.
Think of some lights for those who need to get up at night.

We went there as a family for 1 night with a box that was offered to us. It is not unusual, it is a charming campsite with yurtes and trailers, placed in the middle of a small industrial area. Showers and toilets are in their juices. The price of renting the sheets is expensive (30€ for 1 bed 2 people and 2 beds 1 people), there is little crockery (no glasses) , dirty cutlery drawer. Heating with zibro, smelly. Breakfast mediocre 7€ per person, dirty thermos, disgusting coffee, low-end orange juice , frozen breadstick. No outdoor amenities or decor to create an atmosphere. This is very expensive for a service of this standing.. I do not recommend.

We really loved our stay at the Unusual Village. The yurts are super nice, there is much more space than we imagined, and there is a small kitchen, fridge and heating inside. There were a few days of rain, and the sound of rain on the yurt was great. The people at the Unusual Village were all super nice. We traveled with our daughter who has an intellectual disability, and everything went great (it would be nice if the large showers had a real shower hose). Above all, Stephanie and Stéphane's food truck was an incredible surprise! We tried several of their pancakes, and they were fantastic. Their kindness and good humor really added to the experience. We can only wish that they come more often to the Unusual Village!!

The yurts are not maintained at all.
Our tarpaulin was starting to tear!
The interior is dark; we have a simple floor lamp which provides more or less light.
The few dishes we had available were moldy. The toilets were not heated and the water was lukewarm: enough to make you sick!
Heating the yurt: a kerosene stove (very smelly!) without a carbon monoxide detector VERY DANGEROUS!
So the concept is good but the maintenance and comfort have not followed!
Now these profits despite people's safety or comfort!!!

If you're into yurt nights like we are, run away from this place. Unmaintained yurts that lean towards where they will fall, no taste for decoration, wet yurts stung with saltpetre and mold, dirty and sticky furniture... When at breakfast it is simply shameful (coffee resembling tea, a tablespoon of jam for 2 people in a jar of recycled yogurt...)
The decor must, a deodorant tree in the yurt... We are by no means precious and demanding people, but we found this campsite in mind more business (bordering on scam) than well-being.
